    BEAUTIFUL ITALIAN MUSIC

I didn't know they spelled their name that way--I thought it was Grateful Dead. Go figure!

    BEAUTIFUL ITALIAN MUSIC

The Grateful Dead (I think it would be called, classic rock) has a bit of a cult following.

    BEAUTIFUL ITALIAN MUSIC

Of course--good choice! Who could ever forget the aria, "Un bel di"?

    BEAUTIFUL ITALIAN MUSIC

Thank you for posting this thread, GG. It takes our minds to a higher place than all the evil that is constantly served up by the media. No matter how bad it gets, we need to always remember that none of this present darkness will ever touch heaven.

    BEAUTIFUL ITALIAN MUSIC

In my mind, it evokes the heavenly celebration of triumph at the End of all the evil and sorrow, of the millennia since the Fall of mankind. "For Christ must reign until He humbles all His enemies beneath His feet. And the last enemy to be destroyed is death." (1 Corinthians 15:25-26) No...

    BEAUTIFUL ITALIAN MUSIC

And Morricone's score for The Mission is exquisite. It makes me cry every time I hear it! Here's the old man himself conducting the Munich Radio Orchestra, playing the main theme from the movie:

    BEAUTIFUL ITALIAN MUSIC

And what list of wonderful Italian music would be complete without some of the achingly beautiful compositions of Ennio Morricone? His contributions were a large part of the popularity of Sergio Leone's "spaghetti Westerns". If there were Nobel prizes given for music, Morricone would rate one...

You must be born again through water baptism

I guess that is how the "report" function is supposed to be used--yes? Most of the time they are simply an annoyance and if everyone ignores them, they will likely go away. They apparently just want attention. Good advice: "Don't feed the trolls." That's the first rule for dealing with...

You must be born again through water baptism

True. Many of the people with strange theology are members of a cult and they have been "brainwashed" by the cult leaders. It is very difficult to get those individuals to orthodoxy although it does happen sometimes. I was thinking more of those who are logical and reasonable.

Real Americans Need to Stand up Against the Demon Inspired evil.

I don't think that it is any coincidence that a nation which tolerates the murder of millions of the unborn could produce monsters who gun down innocent people. In both cases, there is a blatant disregard for the sanctity of human life. The young leftist shooter in Dayton who said that he was...

You must be born again through water baptism

I believe you. I have seen all manner of kooky theology on Christian websites (including aberrant, non-Biblical "theology" from those who should know better--Andy Stanley comes to mind).

You must be born again through water baptism

It is for sure difficult to restrain one's inner angst when basic beliefs are challenged--especially when we believe that the Bible supports those beliefs. That is why I believe that it is important to stay in dialogue until differences can be ironed out. One of the problems in politics today...

You must be born again through water baptism

I think that when the Book of Jude advises us to "earnestly contend for the faith" we are to do so--but only on the fundamental doctrines, without which, we can not come to an understanding of what comprises saving faith. In other non-salvific issues (e.g. "pre-Trib, "post-Trib" or "mid-Trib")...

You must be born again through water baptism

If I said that I "argued" something, it would mean that I posited a point of view and then supported it by citing Scripture. But, arguing, in the minds of most people would be laden with accusation, rancor, etc. "Discussing" would be a much less emotional term, for sure.

You must be born again through water baptism

Or both could be wrong ;) That is why the community of faith is so vital to the life of a saint. I have seen too many fake "conversions" and "easy believism" to think that OSAS is good theology. However, as I argued above, I believe that the Bible teaches Eternal Security.

You must be born again through water baptism

I became born-again as an adult but I had been baptized in a liberal mainline church when I was a baby. Some, who have been baptized as infants feel that there is "no need" to be "re-baptized" but, if they were born-again as adults, then they would really be getting baptized for the first time...

    Iconoclast

Unfortunately, the once-mighty Southern Baptist Convention is being taken over by neo-Calvinists. I suppose that neo-Calvinism is something of a reaction to Emerging Church neo-liberalism. But both are radical and extreme. The name of a book by neo-Calvinist, David Platt is ironically enough...

I get email alerts from places like "Prophecy News Watch" which tracks news items with End Times implications.

You must be born again through water baptism

They are all over comment forums these days--trying to influence opinion. There is also extreme censorship of conservative thought--especially evangelical Christian conservative thought. Reminds me of the slogan of certain religious/radical political groups who have said, "First we go after...
