Does it concern you that gospels were written so many years after Jesus died?

Biblical scholarship changes over time regarding dates of writing for the books. John Wesley in the 1700's thought that the Gospel of Mark was written after Matthew as a deliberate shortening of it. That idea has since fallen out of favor, and now Mark is looked on as earlier.

Does it concern you that gospels were written so many years after Jesus died?

On the other end of the spectrum from Theide is John Dominic Crossan, Former Catholic Priest of the Jesus Seminar - he has dates way late for New Testament books. But I have seen basketball games more spiritual than Crossan.

Giving others freedom to think and believe differently

What are you trying to quote? The Bible says work out your own salvation with fear and trembling - not work out your own SINS. Phl 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Giving others freedom to think and believe differently

Our sins are paid for through the free gift of Christ's sacrifice. To say that we should work off our sins by hard labor makes a mockery of Christ's sacrifice and is most unbiblical.
