    Palm Sunday

Oh, Palm Sunday is not near as wild as those Revelation/Tribulation Threads - Palm Sunday is fairly simple - but I get confused if there are two animals or just one - donkey - colt - foal...??

    Palm Sunday

That's when Jesus poked his head out of the Tomb -- and if He'd have seen His shadow, there would have been six more weeks of winter!

What does the Christian need to do when they have sinned?

The Romans 7 passage is about an unbeliever.

What does the Christian need to do when they have sinned?

Paul was brought up at the feet of Gamaliel - it does not make sense for him to be speaking AUTOBIOGRAPHICALLY about "I was alive without the law once" Come on - he is speaking as an unregenerate man

Does it concern you that gospels were written so many years after Jesus died?

I have started a thread called THE JESUS PAPYRUS in the Bible Study Forum

    The Jesus Papyrus

Carston Thiede wrote a book by that name that could have turned modern scholarship about dating of the gospel on its head. Its been largely ignored in the academic world because it would make the academics themselves look to be in error - greatly in error - about the dates the gospels were written.

Does it concern you that gospels were written so many years after Jesus died?

Does it concern you that modern scholars may be drastically mistaken about the dates of the gospels? That should be the question - not assuming that late-daters like Crossan are correct - not assuming that Revelation was written in Domitian's reign. Everybody jumped on board discussing the OP...

Does it concern you that gospels were written so many years after Jesus died?

Do we still want to address the OP even after the guy is gone? I for one thought some were JUST BEGINNING to address the fact that there is DISAGREEMENT among scholars as to the dates of the gospels. The OP seemed to take it as given that the modern liberal late-dater scholars were indeed...

Is Christian mysticism a good thing?

Sylvia Browne had a Familiar Spirit named Francine - told her that Jesus and Mary Magdalene were married, went to France after Jesus survived the crucifixion and Jesus lived to be 86 !

Is Christian mysticism a good thing?

For when one considers the universe, can anyone be so simple-minded as not to believe that the Divine is present in everything, pervading, embracing and penetrating it? Gregory of Nyssa The CAPPADOCIANS were Basil - his brother Gregory - and his other brother Gregory (one actual brother, one...

Is Christian mysticism a good thing?

Christian Mysticism can be seen in the Orthodox monks on Mt Athos, the anonymous author of THE CLOUD OF UNKNOWING, the aforementioned Thomas Merton, also Gregory of Nazianzus... lotta mysticism throughout Christianity in various periods. Sit up on a pillar and gaze at your navel til the satori...

Is Christian mysticism a good thing?

Did Saul actually fall off his horse on the road to Damascus? This article discusses the three times in Acts where the Road to Damascus is discussed - the article does not relate the account in Galatians that summarizes the conversion also. Someone seeing a horse of a different color where...

Is Christian mysticism a good thing?

Nowhere does it ever say Paul fell off his horse - or that he travelled to Damascus on a horse. A commentary of Calvin (which I can no longer find) has Calvin saying "Paul fell off his horse in fear". Since Christ was a Corporal Since Paul fell off his horse No one truly thinks Christ was a...

Os Guiness wrote a book called DOUBT. It's really about Faith.

    The Case Against the Trinity

Wrangler said: ↑ "the entire Bible is written by unitarian/monotheist Jews who reject the trinity to this day." Just pinch off the Gospel of Luke and Acts of the Apostles and see what a significant chunk of the New Testament was written by the Gentile Luke. Asinine statements by those who...
