The answer of hell and its origins

An examination into what hell is starts with a problem. The Hebrew word sheʼohlʹ occurs 65 times in the Masoretic text. In the King James Version, it is translated 31 times as “hell,” 31 times as “grave,” and 3 times as “pit.” The KJV also translates the word Gehenna as Hell 10 times, all in...

What Are we Getting Saved From?

Have you noticed that those who love the thought of eternal torture seem to be hate filled in their thinking and attitude? It’s like they are eager to send those they don’t agree with to hell.

Hell doesn’t sound so bad if you can get relief from water off the tip of a finger.

What Are we Getting Saved From?

First off, a building can neither twist a scripture or attack anything. Here is a nice comparison. John 3:16 KJV - “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” NWT - ““For God loved the world so...

Control yourself. That is an idiotic statement.

Defending the Godhead (Trinity) & the Divine Nature of Christ

Did anyone actually read the OP? Long cut and pastes should be against the rules. If you can’t write it yourself then study until you can.

    God and the Bible

Jehovah’s Witnesses believe we obtain everlasting life from studying? I didn’t know that is what I believe. Do you believe knowing the only true God and the one he sent, Jesus Christ has anything to do with gaining everlasting life? Or do you think someone can just emotionally declare themselves...

    Questions For JW's

I will be checking to see if Alfred opens any Bible on any subject. Will Aunty Jane run and hide? Will you be overwhelmed and silenced by his use of the Bible. I can hardly wait. Maybe Pearl will join in.

    What is the good news?

Good News is synonymous with Gospel. In Jesus’ preaching the Good News centered around God’s Kingdom. Matthew 9:35 KJV “And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among...

    "The word was a god"?

Thanks once again for sharing your excellent research. Seeing how trinitarians have manipulated the few verses they use to support the doctrine deepens my faith that the Father is just who Jesus said he is - “the only true God.”

    "The word was a god"?

Yes I admit, words are important to me. Truth and lies are both expressed in words. The words you apparently need to overlook are seize, snatch, rob, suddenly and decisively. Snatching or grasping something is done suddenly in a moment of time. It has nothing to do with whether or not that...

    "The word was a god"?

Here are 3 references for harpazo. None of them have anything to indicate “hold onto.”

If you found you were in the wrong faith, would you change?

I’m often amazed at how far trinitarians will go to find scriptures to support their doctrine but your use of Isaiah 44:6 is out even farther. ASV “Thus saith Jehovah, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, Jehovah of hosts: I am the first, and I am the last; and besides me there is no God.”...

    "The word was a god"?

You seem to comprehend what the verses I quoted are saying.

    "The word was a god"?

Do you believe what you read in these verses? Deuteronomy 6:4 “Listen, O Israel: Jehovah our God is one Jehovah.” John 17:3 “This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 11:3 “But I want you to know that the...

    "The word was a god"?

I agree that God is a Father in a much more profound way than a human father. For example, we don’t know exactly how God brought forth living beings, spirit or flesh, but it certainly didn’t involve the biology we rely on. But, you seem to have missed the main point that the Father is Jesus’ God.

    "The word was a god"?
