Were the brothers in Matthew 13:55 Mary's sons?

Post the verses, show me Paul's statement about James Jesus's sibling was one of the twelve? Mind you that Paul's statements comes after the four gospels. People became disciples apostles and the like afterwards.

Were the brothers in Matthew 13:55 Mary's sons?

Because in His own words makes the distinction. Matthew 12:49 Stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers!

Were the brothers in Matthew 13:55 Mary's sons?

The verse beforehand, the distinction between His disciples and His mother and brothers. Of course His mother wasn't among His 12 disciples nor His brothers, that was figuratively as well. notice in the whole conversation, no one mentioned His sisters but Jesus, do you know why? Matthew 12:49...

Were the brothers in Matthew 13:55 Mary's sons?

Why wouldn't it be, in His own words He mentions He has brother and sister and mother. Scripture answered questions then and now. Surely He knew the issue would arise one day, rather He had siblings or not. The people that came to Him didn't say His mother and cousins are wanting to speak to Him.

Were the brothers in Matthew 13:55 Mary's sons?

Indeed, He is speaking of His earthly brother and sister and mother as an example. He certainly wouldn't use them figuratively if He had none.

Were the brothers in Matthew 13:55 Mary's sons?

You mentioned the same words for Jesus brothers yet why is it not cousin in that account. Below jesus uses His own family members as figurative. Matthew 12 50For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.”

Were the brothers in Matthew 13:55 Mary's sons?

No not at all, I was using it to show when someone in scripture is a cousin they present it as such. Like Elizabeth was Mary's cousin. You totally misunderstood why I brought up Mary's cousin Elizabeth, if that's what you think I meant.

Were the brothers in Matthew 13:55 Mary's sons?

So you think all those brothers were His biological siblings. Ok brother!

Were the brothers in Matthew 13:55 Mary's sons?

Liberalism not a chance, even Jesus used His own family members, for a figurative statement about doing God's will. He certainly didn't say who does the Will of God is My cousins and mother. He included His sisters as well. Are you going to say Jesus meant cousins? Probably Matthew 12 46...

Were the brothers in Matthew 13:55 Mary's sons?

Yes I shouldn't of brought it up, it's another topic.

Were the brothers in Matthew 13:55 Mary's sons?

And still you are trying to make some deal out of me saying, the brothers of Jesus is what the topic is about what matters. Rather than Elizabeth being Mary's cousin.
  14. BeyondET

Were the brothers in Matthew 13:55 Mary's sons?

That was supposed to go with, it's Jesus brothers that matters. You spun a web from half my statement brother. because the topic is about Jesus brothers not rather Mary was Elizabeth cousin. Thats getting away from the thread topic about the brothers of Jesus.

Were the brothers in Matthew 13:55 Mary's sons?

I see you've been posting half my statement, this is what I said it's about Jesus brothers and sisters. Really don't matter if Elizabeth was Mary's cousin aunt or grandmother. It's rather Jesus had brothers and cousins and aunt's and uncle's, grandparents.

Were the brothers in Matthew 13:55 Mary's sons?

This is what you first said something about Mary being of Joseph's cousin. Elizabeth wasn't Joseph's cousin.

Were the brothers in Matthew 13:55 Mary's sons?

Here we have Jesus using His own family members, mother, brother and sister. In a figurative statement about doing the Father's will. He wouldn't mention family members if He had none. Certainly there's Mary and His brothers mentioned, though His sisters are not mentioned or maybe so. A guest...

That's what the father of lies wants people to do, just fall in line and dont think about it, it's true.

Were the brothers in Matthew 13:55 Mary's sons?

Nay your scared to think about it. The thought of Mary not being a perpetual virgin frightens you. You've been copying and pasting your doctrine for awhile, so you don't have to give it much thought.
