The 10th day of Nisan which converts to our Julian equivalent, 12th April 444 BC. I’ll get back to you on this.

I dont understand your comment that I dont address the city of Jerusalem. I show it at the end of the timeline diagram on the O.P.

    Daniels 70-Weeks Timeline

It may come as a surprise to you, but the ending of the 70th week is all about Gentiles. Such an idea appears contradictory at first because the angel spoke of ‘your people’ when referring to Daniel’s people, the Jews. Yes, the angel did say, “Seventy weeks are determined for your people ...”...

    Daniels 70-Weeks Timeline

True. Your first video makes that point well. (not so keen on your subsequent ones tho) Incidentally, the date referenced can be found by comparing Nehemiah with Ezra :Zzzzz: - about half way through Nisan.

    Daniels 70-Weeks Timeline

Hi Brake, I gave your diagram a tick, but a small point is the commonly quoted end of weeks at the stoning of Stephen. I think the better event is the conversion of the Gentiles at Cornelius‘s house. Have a look at the Atonement Clock when you get a chance.

    Daniels 70-Weeks Timeline

Here is the timeline again. The time determined for ”your people” was for them to receive first option to the good news of the new covenant. When the 490 years were completed, the gospel was opened to the Gentiles. (Acts 10) Am I understanding your question @St. SteVen ?

    Post Your Time Line

Good idea Gordon. Here is my contribution: The final week of Daniel was fulfilled beginning with Jesus 3 and ½ years (27-30 AD) and finishing with the disciples ministry to the Jews up to the gospel going to the Gentiles. (30-34 AD) There is a short tribulation, but it is not the same...

We’re the two witnesses from the past?

When I go up in the Rev. 11 rapture I'm going to ask for a nice new hairdo.

We’re the two witnesses from the past?

Good point. Also, their resurrection and ascent to heaven reminds me of the general resurrection/rapture. As for their identity, I think of the ‘Mosaic’ witness representing the saints of the first covenant and the ‘Elijaic‘ witness being the saints of the new covenant. Just a thought.

More biblical proof that supports Amillennialism

The Son of Man returns with and for his people

My bible college principal was a post trib historicist of the reformed variety. He explained it this way. He said that when Roman armies came back from their victories, they approached the city, with the general, riding a white horse in front of his armies. The people would come out to meet him...

    THE FULFILLMENT OF DANIEL 9

Theories. :IDK: Now for some common sense. The 70 weeks are one and the same as the Sabbatical cycles as established by Moses in Leviticus 25. These cycles, similar to our ‘decadal’ system, formed the original Hebrew calendar, had no gaps, and extended from Moses to Christ. Despite Israels...

Should the meaning of Greek words affect the interpretation of the passages they are found in?

On a fine evening here in New Zealand, we can see Venus shining brightly up there. Yes, I used to have questions about stars “falling.” However, someone told me how the ancients called everything in the sky “stars.” So, I think the scenario in Mark refers to meteorites and asteroids and finally...

Should the meaning of Greek words affect the interpretation of the passages they are found in?

You three guys have got good thinkers. So, please read Mark 13 and tell me: At which verse did St.Mark switch from literal speech to metaphorical speech? (if at all) Inquiring minds want to know. :Zzzzz:

Should the meaning of Greek words affect the interpretation of the passages they are found in?

Hmmm, the book of Revelation can get a bit metaphorical admittedly. Okay, lets take get a little snippet from St. Mark. “In those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers in the...

Should the meaning of Greek words affect the interpretation of the passages they are found in?

Nice to see you too my pre-mill friend. :pfite: Okay, lets go to the man himself! When Jesus was here, he explicitly said the world would come to an end. He was not speaking in hyperbole. Here is his straight forward statement: “Heaven and earth will pass away” (Matthew 24:35) Furthermore...
