I don't think Predestination means Salvation

How do you know if you are one or not. Not all the Jews were saved, and yet they were God's elect. Isa. 45:4

I don't think Predestination means Salvation

Even Judas was "chosen." So don't give me chosen as a defense. What we do is our responsibility. The whole nation of Israel was God's elect, but not all of them were even in Abraham's bosom, nor accepted Jesus.

Mistake in Translation - Galatians 5:17

That is what I'm saying. Predestination doesn't equate to salvation as Calvinists believe. Even Judas was "chosen." What we do is our responsibility.

    The Restrainer. And the Restrained.

But don't you realize those were already in the church but needed to "overcome" They weren't newly learning about Jesus.

Mistake in Translation - Galatians 5:17

That is called foreknowledge, not predestination. There are some groups of people that ARE predestined, but not necessarily for salvation. Like the descendants of Jacob, the children of Israel, were predestined as a nation, but not each individual was saved. The apostles were predestined out...

    The Restrainer. And the Restrained.

There are people saved after the Antichrist has been revealed. Who do you think drew them if not the Holy Spirit? Who are these people? Why wasn't a strong delusion put on them? Answer: there are two groups. Do you know what the difference is scripturally?

    The Restrainer. And the Restrained.

Think again if you think it is the omnipresent Holy Spirit that will be taken out of the way.

Mistake in Translation - Galatians 5:17

You actually talked about it in #24, to which I asked you who taught you this. #24 "Being born again, has nothing to do with sin maam. All of them have been selected from among mankind to be Kings and Priests in the Kingdom of God. I would imagine that none of them committed serious sins, but I...

Grace-Haters are incapable of honestly admitting what the (P) in Calvinism really means.

Do you not recognize this as the doctrine of Christ? Did Christ not say to believe on Him? Did he not say to love one another? Well... 1 John 3:21-24 21 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. 22 And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His...

Grace-Haters are incapable of honestly admitting what the (P) in Calvinism really means.

Yes. 1 John 3:21-24 21 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. 22 And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. 23 And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of...

Great post, phoneman. Personally, I don't think there is a more dangerous denominational umbrella than those who came out of the beginning of the Reformation.

Was Adam Imparted Free Will From The Beginning Of Creation?

You lost my attention to read further when you tried ordering me around again. I prefer speaking with people who know how to be a true Christian, and ignore those who don't. Putting you on ignore. Bye.

Mistake in Translation - Galatians 5:17

I wasn't talking about not sinning the second type of sin. We do commit those. (But not the first). What I was talking about was your description of predestination. Do you know what that means?

Mistake in Translation - Galatians 5:17

I don't believe it is beyond our abilities when you compare Scripture with Scripture. Besides, the Holy Spirit of Truth reveals what it means if you just ask and are open. After all both Romans and Galatians were both written by Paul and he used the same wording. It doesn't take a scholar to put...

Mistake in Translation - Galatians 5:17

I'm not sure you are agreeing with me or belittling me...o_O I don't take drug, but I do agree that a whole different doctrine happens with the capitalization of that "S." It actually diminishes the gospel.

Mistake in Translation - Galatians 5:17

Our flesh is the brain. But the mind is not. It is separate and that and our heart are reborn. It is the result of a supernatural event/experience - baptized with the Holy Spirit, and has nothing to do with nature.

Mistake in Translation - Galatians 5:17

That is surprising because it is the theory of predestination, and I wasn't aware that JWs taught that. It is more along the teachings of Calvinists. JWs teach the opposite of your belief on sin. At least the JWs I've talked to don't teach what you believe. Maybe you were in a Reformed church...

Was Adam Imparted Free Will From The Beginning Of Creation?

It boggles the mind to try to understand why you believe Adam's listening to his wife was not from his free-will. :confused:o_O

May I ask which denomination taught you this? Thanks.

Mistake in Translation - Galatians 5:17

The born again experience is supernatural, Ronald. Since Adam sinned all have corrupt minds UNTIL Christ gives us the mind of Christ. It is a renewing of the mind and emotions as we grow in the fruit of the Spirit. Does your denomination teach you that even after being born again your mind is...
