I don't think Predestination means Salvation

Don't attack, teach, if you know so much.

As a nation. Romans 9:13 As it is written, “Jacob I have loved, but Esau I have hated.” But not all of them became the spiritual Israel that believed the gospel. (Jacob's name was changed to Israel.) Ephesians 1: 11 In Him also we (the apostles) have obtained an inheritance, being predestined...

    The Restrainer. And the Restrained.

Maybe that is so we put Him first, and not last.

I don't think Predestination means Salvation

No, Jesus said we must be born again of the Spirit to belong to Him. I experienced the new birth

    The Restrainer. And the Restrained.

I've already told you that there is no law to keep Sunday. His people did that on their own. But it had NOTHING to do with sun worshipping, but the day Jesus rose from the dead, and then 50 days later, sent the Holy Spirit to start the New Covenant (on a Sunday).

Oh is is experiencial. I received the Spirit on 2/9/77. Before that I was attending church for 30 years and sinned up a storm! But I've never quenched the Spirit.

I don't think Predestination means Salvation

I've experienced being baptized in the Holy Spirit, and it caused me to fall madly in love with God. There isn't a sin I would want to commit. But if I let myself run around with bad people and let them influence me, I would hear God's voice, which I hear very clearly now, become fainter and...

I don't think Predestination means Salvation

It isn't a fair question. We can never quench God out of the universe, but we CAN quench Him out of us.

    The Restrainer. And the Restrained.

The letter of the law is the bottom line. If you love your neighbor as yourself, you won't be lusting after his wife, so will never get to the letter of the law.

That was the Apostle Paul that wrote that. And as I said, we can only quench the Holy Spirit on the inside of us. That means we can willfully sin and sear our own conscience from letting the Spirit guide us. The conscience and mind is where the Spirit would dwell. That is IF we have been given...

    The Restrainer. And the Restrained.

LOL. I can't understand that. You're so cute!

I don't think Predestination means Salvation

Because Paul commanded us to not quench the Spirit. It doesn't mean quench Him universally, but from inside you.

I don't think Predestination means Salvation

Yes. All Jews were predestined, and out of that chosen nation, the apostles were specifically predestined. They were also in God's foreknowledge. All Gentiles were in the foreknowledge of God, but not predestined. He didn't force anyone to believe in Him, or reject Him, as He does not wish...

I don't think Predestination means Salvation

Yes. Look at Matthew 7:21-23. This is why I'm so thankful for having been baptized in the Holy Spirit and refusing to quench him. I abide in Jesus, and He certainly abides in me.

Iconoclast, when you use words such as "silly" that means it is foolishness to you doesn't it?

    The Restrainer. And the Restrained.

The physical keeping of a day of the week is a letter of the law we are no longer under. Jesus coming and giving us the Holy Spirit reveals the spirit of that law. And He, Himself, is the true substance of God's Rest. If you look at 1 John 3:23 which are the commandments that Jesus taught, Jesus...

I already know that. But he was still chosen for that role to fulfill scripture. Have you ever noticed that when scripture says the Father GAVE Me, he is only referring to the 12 apostles and not all that followed afterwards?

I don't think Predestination means Salvation

Why I say it has to do with the Holy Spirit is because the righteousness of the New Covenant of Jesus is through His gift of the Holy Spirit infused new nature, and not the old way of laws engraved on stone that had to be kept to the letter with a sinful nature. Old Covenant - Ministry of Death...

Yes, but those who love Jesus keep His commandments found in 1 John 3:23. Tong, it has to do with the Holy Spirit. We must be filled with God, and stay walking in that light. 1 John 1:7 Study 2 Peter 1:2-11; Romans 8:1-9 and 1 John 3 if you truly want to go to heaven.
