Jesus is the way, but how many ways are there to Jesus?

Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath. He gives rest to those who come to him. Like the temple sacrifices pointed to Jesus crucifixion. Sabbath keeping points to eternal life in his presence.

Why We Dont See Casting Out of Devils

I am confounded sometimes. A lot of people must be welcoming demons knowingly.

    Difficulty Reconciling

We may be deluded into thinking we are saved, but actually are not. If we have works does that prove we have faith? Perhaps, or perhaps not. I think it is important to consider the motivation behind the work. The key point is that Salvation is not a transaction.

    Difficulty Reconciling

Who says the old testament way of Salvation was not by grace through faith just like new testament times. The sacrifices, the temple, the feasts, everything points to Jesus they just didn't know it. They believed following the commandments was the way to eternal life, but God said to follow...

    Difficulty Reconciling

I believe in a moment of salvation. Which is the imparting of the Holy Spirit, or at least it is at the same time. Once sealed by the Holy Spirit I believe God will see our sanctification through to the end. As we journey through life the Holy Spirit will correct us along the way when we...

    Difficulty Reconciling

What is "belief?" Is it a thought in our head, a conviction we hold that has little depth? Or does "belief" mean we need to apply it to our lives. If I were to say "I believe in gravity," but everywhere I went I had a rope tethering me to the ground, do I really believe in gravity?

    The problem with "Free Palestine"

It is entirely possible that certain peoples are bound to unbelief. Wasn't Ishmael conceived in unbelief? But they are still called to Jesus as is everyone else in the world. And Jesus appears to them in dreams as they are not easy to reach. With courage to defy their society and love for...

    The problem with "Free Palestine"

Other religions don't turn to Jesus for the forgiveness of sins. And yes forgiveness of sins is how we are reconciled with God.

    The problem with "Free Palestine"

Some don't see it necessary for the son of God to share in God's divinity. This is not an Orthodox belief. As for the Muslims, they are told in the Quran that God does not have a son. Of course Muslims will affirm the teachings of their book in the doctrines they teach. Another big one is...

Has this forum embraced the Wokeness culture by any chance.

Politics is Christian values vs the world. I also don't see the point of a section of a Christian forum that focuses on the politics of one nation. Most politics these days are diametrically opposed to God's will. These days its more a question of which nation has fallen further.

    The problem with "Free Palestine"

Islam is of the devil. Like all lies there is just enough truth to make it appear legitimate. And enough falsehood to further the goal of the devil to lure people away from the cross and into damnation. It is no coincidence that Islam accepts the virgin birth of Jesus but rejects that he is...

    The problem with "Free Palestine"

Even in a Christian society laws should not be merciful to criminals. This leads to lawlessness among those who are evil and take advantage of relaxed laws. And victims do not get justice. If there is mercy, let it be at the discretion of the court, not predetermined. Individuals win souls...

    DOGE updates

In the Federalist 78 we have this intent for the Judiciary explained: “It may truly be said to have neither FORCE nor WILL, but merely judgment; and must ultimately depend upon the aid of the executive arm even for the efficacy of its judgments.”

    The problem with "Free Palestine"

And Israel is convicted of war crimes in international court because Hamas uses their civilians as cover. The international courts are a joke. What is to stop leaders of such countries from committing actual war crimes now?

    DOGE updates

    1. Impeaching judges for showing partiality. Judges are supposed to be impartial and this used to be an important quality for the judiciary, and obstensively it still is. But we all know they have abandoned any pretences. The problem with impeachment is it requires a super majority in the...

    The Placebo Vision

False teachings would be harmful, not neutral like a placebo. What about true teachings that lack fervor? A fervor that can only come by the Holy Spirit?

    Why believe left leaning ideologies?

When the penalty for adultery was stoning who would Jesus' audience be to speak about homosexual behavior? I wonder what the reaction would have been to child sacrifices to baal at that time. Probably would have been abhorrent to their sensibilities, even if practiced far from Jerusalem. Well...

    Why believe left leaning ideologies?

How does this look for a progression of events. The true path Sin -> alienation from God -> fear of judgement(guilt) -> gift of wisdom -> Longing for truth -> Gospel of Jesus Christ -> Hearing -> Faith -> Righteousness A false path Sin -> alienation from God -> fear of judgement(guilt) ->...

    Why believe left leaning ideologies?

I see meaning hidden in the eternal Gospel. Rev 14 6-7. It seems appropriate for any time in history. 6Then I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth—to every nation, tribe, language and people. 7He said in a loud voice...
