The Bible is Father-Centric not Christo-Centric

Oh how you sound like Nicodemus! Actually, worse by far.

The Bible is Father-Centric not Christo-Centric

If you do not follow into the cloud and kingdom, but remain as if in those early days, you remain in a time who's service is finished, except for the dying. If you were serving now, you would be pressing on with expectation, speaking the words of the promises that were to come.

The Bible is Father-Centric not Christo-Centric

Yes, it is obvious that you do not see the point. You go back to spiritual Egypt...which, no, is not serving God. Messiah gave the timeline by which to serve, saying "Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be perfected." Where do you think...

The Bible is Father-Centric not Christo-Centric

Not to answer for bdavidc, but you ask too much and claim too much, because you do not understand. You are approaching the issue with the logic of men. God is more, but you have set your own perceived limit, which is not true, nor good for you to do. Our first and natural perspective is to do...

The Bible is Father-Centric not Christo-Centric

Unfortunately, you're missing the point: God did not make any of us [to serve] for another time...but for a time such as "this."

The Bible is Father-Centric not Christo-Centric

What Paul was saying, instructing, was that those of that time should not get ahead of themselves. Which, again, would mean not being faithful to the time and purpose appointed by God to all in their own time. Meaning, that to get ahead or behind (as you have apparently chose to do), is to be...

The Bible is Father-Centric not Christo-Centric

One thing at a time perhaps. Surely, many things can be learned from the past and are a benefit. But what was for those of earlier times, was not for us. As it is written, "there is a time for every purpose under heaven." As such, we are only faithful to God if we are faithful to the time and...

Jesus and Peter taught that the earth will be destroyed unexpectedly on the day Jesus returns just as the earth was destroyed in Noah's day

The words are spirit. You are not only reading history, and stories of moral value, or even only prophecy. Jesus' words are not only literary--not only two-dimensional black and white, but the light of the world. Do you think I sound like I am drunk on new wine? This was the lesson of...

Jesus and Peter taught that the earth will be destroyed unexpectedly on the day Jesus returns just as the earth was destroyed in Noah's day

That is the problem--the two are not compatible. If we are not willing to accept God's warning and clarification regarding what to expect, then we are not actually relying on God for understanding.

Jesus and Peter taught that the earth will be destroyed unexpectedly on the day Jesus returns just as the earth was destroyed in Noah's day

That is what Jesus said about what we "expect." We either except what He has said, or reject it. As for what you "see taught in God's Word", Jesus said what He said about what we would wrongly expect, fully aware that many would be studying and have knowledge of what is written. Still, He said...

The Bible is Father-Centric not Christo-Centric

Okay, good. However, that would mean not stopping or taking up residence at some primitive point. It would mean proceeding into the future beyond what is written, to all that was promised and arranged. In other words expecting to be "lead unto all truth", to see history climax with the finish...

Jesus and Peter taught that the earth will be destroyed unexpectedly on the day Jesus returns just as the earth was destroyed in Noah's day

Perhaps I'll answer one at a time. It is because Jesus has foretold us that what we will come to expect is not what will be. In other words, our every expectation is suspect, and having been forewarned, we either heed that warning, or blow it off and continue to let our own expectations and...

The Bible is Father-Centric not Christo-Centric

If you believe as you do, why are you intent on only following Jesus to a point and no further--not to finish?

The Bible is Father-Centric not Christo-Centric

On the surface, one could say that, and many do, even quoting the scriptures. But that is not "all truth"--nor was "all truth" even available when the scriptures were written. "All truth" and the complete "mystery of God as He declared to His servants the prophets"--was "sealed" and under...

Jesus Returns In Fire And Final Judgement, At This Time The Resurrection Of "All" Takes Place (Then Cometh The End)

"Then", meaning "when." Which is the bigger question. Which is to say, not the time no one knows except the Father, but more the case of "when you see these thing." What things? The Son of man coming in the clouds--which is in the spirit--with great power and glory--which is the power glory of...

Jesus and Peter taught that the earth will be destroyed unexpectedly on the day Jesus returns just as the earth was destroyed in Noah's day

All reasonable deductions. However the greatest question, and where the key to the whole matter lies, is not in the "what" or the "how" of Jesus' return, but the "when." Wherein, the first thing that needs to be taken to heart, is "the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect" (Luke...

The Bible is Father-Centric not Christo-Centric

You again take the path of explaining that which was true--but only true to a point. Insomuch as the six days are of this world, you are correct. But I was making clarification beyond that. If you are determined to stop before all is complete--then stop where you will. Otherwise, the renewing of...

The Bible is Father-Centric not Christo-Centric

As I meant to convey, all of that is understandable and reasonable to think. But it is not true. Which is because the translation is from spirit to literary--language purposely confused by God. Thus, defining the words according to their original meaning is helpful, but only to a point. Which I...

The Bible is Father-Centric not Christo-Centric

No. That too is not biblical. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.
