Besides the Word was made flesh, in the beginning was the Word.
Apparently the Word Himself have a beginning, like, in the beginning GOD created the heaven and the earth.
On the other hand, we don't read that in the beginning was GOD right?
Because GOD ever existed and have no beginning nor end, compared to creation/creature.
Moreover, GOD says about HIS Son/Word/Jesus in introduction as 'MY only begotten'.
It's like my wife and i have only one kid, therefore will be also saying, 'My or our only begotten'.
Since in Heaven there's no marriage and GOD have no wife, as a result, HE creates or form.
Let's say GOD alone create/form HIS Son in HIS express image, hence calls as, My only begotten apparently, makes sense.
While later on, GOD by and through and for the Son created all other creation in Heaven and on earth.
In other words, based on all that has been created/formed called creation/creature, the Son is the 'firstborn'.
Whether, firstborn 'of' or 'over' all creation/creature, the Son is still part of them in similarity.
Colossians 1:
15. Who is the image of the invisible GOD, the firstborn of every creature:
16. For by Him were all things created, that are in Heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him:
17. And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.
Hebrews 1:
10. And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:
