The great thing, personally, is that I have been chosen to hang with King Jesus in His coming kingdom. So no fear of spending time in hell or the lake of fire. Yay!
If you don't stick with the Bible you're sticking with Satan! God is not gonna tell you read other opinions about the Bible.

To be honest with you, I have not really listened or read others opinions for years. Rarely those in the bible or outside it.

It's Jesus, His Father, Their Spirit and I communicating in real time. I don't seek the historical Jesus anymore. No, I'm in a relationship with the current Jesus Who died, was resurrected, was glorified and now sits at our Father's side in heaven. We keep it pretty simple these days.

Why am I not surprised. Do you even have a Bible???

IOW , you don't have a clue what the Bible says! And you say you're communicating with God. Which God? Which Jesus? STUDY the Bible so you don't burn in Hell with the Devil.

Thanks for your concern but I'm fine. I studied the bible for decades. I taught it for years. I made it my everything. Until it was revealed to me that it had become an idol.

I've repented of that idol and consult my Creators. Unless They tell me to return to it I certainly won't. I don't need a go between these days.

But that's for me personally.

The Bible is the Written Word of God. To reject it is the road to Hell fire!

The bible is more like temporary supplies.

If you found yourself homeless sleeping on the streets then someone offered you a tent with a bed, food and clothes, we would probably accept it.

But if that person who provided the tent came back 5 years later and saw you still living in it, they would probably be somewhat surprised, puzzled, even disappointed. For they intended that arrangement to be very temporary, a means for them finding permanent accommodation.

The contributors of the bibles were pointers, pointing others to God Himself.

Why do people want to set up camp at the feet of the the statues (writtings) of some prophets and disciples of Christ?

Let's move on and be led by the Divine Spirit of Truth Who is like the wind that is constantly on the move, not stationary and stagnant. He is leading us into all truth that is found in Christ.

The historical figures including Christ, were extremly limited as to what they knew and could write down. But the current living Christ is not so limited. He is speaking to His disciples, His sheep 'live' not as in a replay of a past event. He is speaking into our current situation because of the personal relationship He has with us. Now that's very cool.
Maybe it's just me, but I find there is always something to glean and learn from scripture, and to admire and glorify the one whose truth it is. It's not a dead and limited letter unless we approach it that way. They are the living words of the living God that will never pass away. Think about what that means........there is an eternal quality to the scriptures, the truths contained therein, and it all glorifies the Author of them. Maybe some consider that they have plumbed the depths of the riches of all the wisdom and knowledge of God contained in the scriptures and that's why they have no use for them any more. That would be quite an achievement. If it were true.

Yes we need to have a living relationship with the Living God and be led by Him and hear His voice, etc, and I've seen where some do put the bible in place of the Living God and that makes them approach the bible as a dead letter, cold hard merciless religion void of the Spirit......but we should set up no competition between the Spirit of God and His word. We need both, hand in hand together. Isn't that why the Lord has given us both? It takes two witnesses to establish the truth. It's not a case of either/or.

Mk 16 He that believeth not shall be DAMNED.
He that believeth what? The Bible? (nope)

Footnote:
The earliest manuscripts and some other ancient witnesses do not have verses 9–20.

Unreliable scripture.

Your point remains unproven.
I just checked over 30 English translations and it's in all of them.

Do you believe this? (find some poison and snakes)

Mark 16:17-18 NIV
17 And these signs
will accompany those who believe:
In my name they will drive out demons;
they will speak in new tongues;
18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison,
it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on
sick people, and they will get well.”
