It's not a conspiracy, and it's not just in English translations. It's a result of following an overly pious Jewish tradition. The Jews stopped speaking the name of the LORD, supposedly out of reverence, sometime in the late Iron Age. This eventually spilled over into writing as well - people stopped writing His name. This was already true by the time the Old Testament was translated into the Greek (the LXX), where His name is routinely translated as Adonai. It's this way in the New Testament as well.

Agreed
That's a good point, but why did they also change Yeshua's name? His name isn't actually Jesus. Is it possible he hates being called that?

I asked them, "What would become of your faith if you put your whole library out on the curb on trash day?"
Since you attack the Bible at nearly every opportunity it wouldn't matter at all to you. You might get bored tho. Are you calling the Bible trash now?

The bible is more like temporary supplies.

If you found yourself homeless sleeping on the streets then someone offered you a tent with a bed, food and clothes, we would probably accept it.

But if that person who provided the tent came back 5 years later and saw you still living in it, they would probably be somewhat surprised, puzzled, even disappointed. For they intended that arrangement to be very temporary, a means for them finding permanent accommodation.

The contributors of the bibles were pointers, pointing others to God Himself.

Why do people want to set up camp at the feet of the the statues (writtings) of some prophets and disciples of Christ?

Let's move on and be led by the Divine Spirit of Truth Who is like the wind that is constantly on the move, not stationary and stagnant. He is leading us into all truth that is found in Christ.

The historical figures including Christ, were extremly limited as to what they knew and could write down. But the current living Christ is not so limited. He is speaking to His disciples, His sheep 'live' not as in a replay of a past event. He is speaking into our current situation because of the personal relationship He has with us. Now that's very cool.

Absolutely. The truths contained in bible, like the tent, the bed, the clothes are real and profitable for sure. But are they a permanent means or exhaustive closed volume of truth. Certainly not. And I don't think many would be foolish enough to claim that.

I have explored God's truth's contained in the pages of the bible and again, they have been beneficial for sure. Yet what the truth's God has revealed beyond the bible have been equally profitable and beneficial. Praise God for sharing them all with us.

The Bible is the written Word of God!
The bibles contain a fraction of the words of God. It's impossible for it to contain all of what God has thought and spoken in the past. Well since it was closed and compiled.

Then what about God's word of truths He has been revealing since the bibles were written?

Then what about all the future expressions of truths He hasn't expressed yet.

Foolishly people have believed the lie that God has stopped thinking. Or He has stopped speaking. Or stopped revealing His thoughts to His family members.

I'm thinking Satan is fairly OK with this lie being circulated and even happier that it is actually being believed.

Thankfully God is sovereign and is ok with sending delusions so that people will believe lies. Bible quote -
God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie.

Anyone who disagrees with the Bible is not Christian! We see that here every day! And yet they profess to be Christian.

If the Bible isn't enough for you then you're looking for a different god!

Again, who said the bible is enough. And enough for what?

What doesn't the Bible tell us that we need to know? You're looking for answers about God outside of the Bible. Christians don't do that!
We certainly do seek our Father directly as He has established a personal direct relationship with us. And He has developed a way that His Firstborn Son Jesus can interact with us directly. And He has made it possible for His Spirit to be in directly communication with our spirit.

In fact They have made us Their home. And They will never leave, never desert us. Now that is very comforting.

Followers of Christ hear His voice as we follow Him and His words.

My encouragement to all who have ears to hear, is to listen to Him Who lives inside of them and respond positively to Him. It's pretty simple.

The Spirit speaks to you directly, doesn't He? You hear the Shepherd's voice within you? You haven't pushed the mute button so your ears can't hear Him bave you? I hope not my friend. That would be very sad for you. His direct words are life producing, generating hope and best of all, love.

I read the Bible that Satan hates and you are trying to steer people away from!
If I or anyone else was steering or pushing people from high ground (bible in which some of God's truths which are found) into flood waters (the wisdom of this world - foolishness) then we should be discouraged from this practice.

But if we were encouraging and assisting people to go from high ground (bible) to even higher ground (direct communication with God within and above) would you discourage us from doing this?

Again, who said Satan hates the bible?

You have read in your bible that Satan uses at least some of the contents of the bible. So it would seem that the bible is a tool in his toolbox.

It could appear that Satan has a love/hate relationship with the bible.

Stick with the Bible so you don't end up in Hell!
