And what does Scripture tell you to do after you believe in Him?"This is the WORK of God - that ye believe in Him whom He has sent"
I dont have indwelling sin.
work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;
Misquoting Scripture On purpose......can there be a bigger sin?
Working out a math proble....Hmmmm....I have never heard that teaching before. The Greek bears out that this is talking about the equivalent of working out a math problem.
So that Philippians 2:12 is reiterated very closely by the following scripture.
2Pe 1:10, Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:.
Scripture doesn’t say “the doing will come” after you start believing. If it does say that then please show me since I can’t find it.I think it is who we are after we believe Not what we do, the doing will come, he who began a good work will complete it. But who we are is what empowers us to do anything
Philippians 2:13 says He works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure, you misquoted that.Working out a math proble....Hmmmm....I have never heard that teaching before.
So when Philippians 2:13 says work for his good pleasure it really means work out a math problem for his good pleasure.....

So what happens to the person when the doing doesn’t come? Scripture makes that clear; faith without works is dead. You can’t have one or the other. If you don’t do the works, the faith means nothing; it’s a DEAD faith.
The link you provided says: for it is God who worketh in you both to will and to work, for his good pleasure.Philippians 2:13 says He works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure, you misquoted that.

Soooo Romans 4 cancels out Romans 2: he will render to each one according to his deeds”: 7 eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality;Rom 4:5, But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
Rom 4:6, Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
Rom 4:7, Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
Rom 4:8, Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
Rom 4:5, But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Soooooo would you like to try again since you misquoted your own link?????
Misquoting Scripture On purpose......can there be a bigger sin?
yes...taking on the nature and employment of the accuser of the brethren and accusing a man of sin when he has not committed a sin.
I just kinda figured that purposely Twisting Scripture as Satan did in the Garden with Adam and Eve and as he also did in the desert with Jesus to purposely mislead people might be a bad thing.....please explain to an on- looking world how you did not do EXACTLY that ......thanking you in advance....
Paul does not specifically say works of law in Romans 4:5,
Your continuing False, Perverted , ‘ Gospel” would say , “Blessed is the man who repents of all of his sins before he dies , because if he doesn’t have the Super Memory and Luck to do this he will go to Hell”
You have not revealed your true beliefs to the crowd as you go on and on about other things....all of your posts , should they be about baptism or anything else, should include a Disclaimer to let the viewers know your true mind- set and Core belifs, lest they think you know something about the Bible....
(yes, I have changed my mind on this issue to a certain extent
Have you changed your mind about “ Lucky Repentance” yet ?
There is a line of reasoning that Paul takes us down from Romans 2:13 down to Romans 3:28....and by the time he finishes with that line of reasoning he has reached an opposite conclusion.
And what does Scripture tell you to do after you believe in Him?
I quoted it from the kjv. Unfortunately, the Bible program for these boards stopped utilizing the kjv some time ago, I think because some moderator had a bias.
Phl 2:13, For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
Matthew 10:32 nd Luke 12:8 speaks of confessing Jesus before men and that is something that we do when we are baptized in His name; that is an integral part of what baptism is all about.
That is exactly right...and therefore he is not talking merely about works of law...but of works in general.
I know that this is a contention between us that will not soon be rectified.
You deny that Ezekiel 33:11-20 is inspired of the Lord and profitable for doctrine and I do not.
For it is that passage of scripture that tells us that we shall live thereby if we will turn away from wickedness and do what is lawful and right.
Obviously, if I did that I would be denying the veracity of certain scriptures like you.
Ezekiel 33:11-20 shows us plainly that repentance is something that if we do, we shall live thereby;
And the fact that this does indeed have something to do with "luck" is evident when we compare 1 Corinthians 15:37 and Matthew 13:30.
There is no need to change one scripture in order to preserve the integrity of another.Ahhhhh.....I finally “ get” it ?
“ By LUCK Ye are Saved, lest any man should boast”.....
Thanks for setting me straight ........NOT!!
