It is not "altering" to capitalize something from a language that had no capitalization. It is altering to change "THE" to "a", from specific, to "a", which is general. That changes the whole meaning and actually alters.

To those who believe that Jesus is God, we show deference, and honor Him even in small ways, like capitalizing words that refer to Him. However, Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe Jesus is God, so when they say He is still the "Son of God" it might as well be lowercase, as it is in Gen. 6:4. The actual capitalizing is not important, it is what meaning the term "Son of God" implies. Therefore, to me, if Jesus is not God, and is only the archangel, Michael, given human form, then why call those who believe in this "Christian" at all?

Many claim to be Christian but what does a Christian mean ?

If you study the Acts of the Apostles, (Acts) you'll discover that every single time anyone was saved, they first BELIEVED, and were born again ,and then water baptism followed.
The water, FOLLOWS being born again every time it occurs in Acts.
"Now that you have BELIEVED, (born again) come and be water baptized".
The reason that this is so very significant is because there are huge worldwide cults that teach that the Water CAUSES your new birth.
So, that is a lie from the Devil, and that is why we have to be really careful about the : First you believe and are born again of the Spirit, and then you are water baptized.
There are millions and millions of deceived people who were dunked or sprinkled and told that the water has saved them.

I was even told this lie.
When i was water baptized, which was 11 yrs after i was born again, the person said to me....>"there go all your sins," as the water tank was draining.
Millions of people were deceived into believing that getting wet saved them.
It didn't.

There is an order in all things. This order is confirmed in 2 places in the NT. The first comes from John 3:5
John 3:5 King James Version (KJV)
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Jesus tells us we must be born of the water first and then we can be born of the spirit second.
Peter is a little more specific in Acts 2
Acts 2:38 King James Version (KJV)
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Notice the order of being born again, Jesus says born of the water and then the spirit.
Peter adds to that order, repent, but then follows Jesus in saying be baptized (born of water) and then you shall be given the gift of the Holy Ghost (born of the spirit).

So this is why I believe that this is a correct order to be saved:
1) believe
2) repent
3) be baptized by full immersion in water
4) receive the Hoy Spirit

Now with your old man buried in the water, and your sins washed away and the Holy Spirit indwelling in you, you are a new person in Christ, and can go forth to witness of him, keep his commandments and endure to the end and all is well.
