Why do you need to change the word to fit some kind of theology? "Commend" is "Commend", and you want to change it to "commit" and "promise" so you can go to another scripture where Jesus "promises" to pour out his spirit.

On the cross, Jesus commends his spirit to the Father. Joel promises in a prophecy that God will pour his spirit out upon men. They are 2 different events. Not connected with each other. Besides, God's spirit is not Jesus or Jesus's spirit, it is the Holy Spirit.
You study things in a rather disjointed method, you are so dedicated to your theology and study so hard that you miss many important bible scriptures that upend your theology. For instance: you say "the Lord Jesus death only released him for the limination of Earthly constraints. by his death, he is now no longer. Wow, you say that outloud. I would agree he is no longer flesh and blood, but that he is no longer is different than that. Wow, Jesus is no longer. You must be smoking something.

BTW, God pouring his spirit on man is metaphoric poetry for saying I will send the Holy Ghost to men after Jesus comes to heaven, and sits on my right hand. Jesus did promise to send the Holy Spirit, but not until he Jesus departs. Can't be both Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

If you struggle with the word "sit" or "sitting", or the phrase "let us", or you need to change "commend" into "promise" are you searching the scriptures. No, you are looking for a way to use unbiblical words in a biblical manner. "Diversity of ones self" is not biblical.
