There is a time for restoration, yes. I have watched in AWE at GOD'S AWESOMENESS as HE accomplished this recently, without help and without hope or plan from man.
There is still a sword, a sharp two-edged sword, dividing husband from wife, father from sin// father from son//, son from father, mother from daughter, daughter from mother, mother from daughter-in-law...
There is a time for all this, as written, and as written, God's Word is always true, in perfect harmony always with His Plan and Wisdom.

The family in Christ Jesus, the family under the protection of His Wings, abiding in Him as His Word abides in them, (like even the gentiles in Romans chapter two) , is rare on earth.
Ever since I became a Christian I have had dreams which I call God dreams every now and then. This is a dream I had a few a few years ago.
It was about a smallish group of men in black martial arts attire practising their kicks together. None of them could kick very high but they were trying hard. After a while a new man joined the group and he could kick higher than any of the others and they were watching and learning from him. Then another person joined in; head and shoulders above the others his kicks were amazing and so controlled that he was able to kick the flower out of the hair of one of the watching women with complete precision.
When I asked God to show me the meaning of this dream I understood that the first group of men were church leaders; first the newcomer was a man of God such as Smith Wigglesworth, John Wesley or another of the great men of God from the past. And obviously the second newcomer was Jesus showing the men how to be efficient and effective warriors.
I so wish every Christian man would learn from Jesus.

Men of God during New Testament times were called as soldiers (2 Timothy 2:3-4). The first Gentile who ever received the outpouring of the Holy Spirt was a centurion, a leader of men, and a soldier's life is the life we must lead before women of God, whether married or not. We should be examples that remind them that this life is a war, and that there are prices to pay, and casualties sometimes. But live or die, our purpose in life is to do damage to the kingdom of darkness, and deliver souls into the kingdom of God.
I had a neighbor across the street who was heavy into martial arts, and practiced in his garage with friends. Those kicks I saw him doing could kill a man. So, too, are we called to be lethal in destroying Satan's works. I think your dream taught that, in learning from each other, it takes those who make drastic improvement as warriors of Christ to raise the bar for everyone, including women.
I have devoted the rest of my life to doing just that.

Women are important. King Solomon, for example, was not supposed to marry Pharaoh's daughter. King Solomon married a lot of foreign women when he was instructed not to. King Solomon had his head turned from God by his wives.
Is a woman more of a Christian or some Marxist, Third Wave Feminist, Christ denying ideology? It matters. When the women of a nation are corrupt to such an extent, and God Judgement comes, it could be that everything is allowed to die similar to God's Judgement on Canaan.

I don't know if any of the sermons I have posted online were recorded after 1995, or are over 30 years old. Most of the media I listen to is Christian radio, and I would say staying in the word is the quickest way of becoming a man in Christ. When I was in college I would listen in while doing my homework. Most Christian broadcast came out of the inner city and it was all unique. I would listen to ministers who would need readers. You would hear a gruffy voice, a pause, and then a soft female voice reading the next verse of scripture. There would be organist who would contribute to the sermon and I thought it was very entertaining and fun to listen to. While listening in to Christian radio one day I got the following sermon in which the minister boldly proclaims, along with many other one liners....
"No need telling us to blame it on the devil all the time. Because we give him so much credit until God can't get a blessing in there edgewise. The devil made me do this and the devil is in them, I discern the spirit, and you wouldn't know the gift of discernment if it walked up to you with a red hat on." - @ 6:00
Comparing the cold ways to a concentration camp... “Before they said that (all their accusations) to Job they sat and looked at Job for seven days. Just staring at him, you know, here is the richest man in the land, and my Lord he doesn’t have a plug nickel, and what’s going on with him? And they just stared at him! I believe this was quite a turning point, while the men were away the women proved themselves to be worthy in so many roles that would have been normally undertaken by the men- many of the men returned from war and suddenly those in authority wanted the women back in the homes and kitchen. Suddenly they were deemed as being irrelevant and were expected to just accept that, many decided to fight back ...... I wonder how the men thought the women would just take that - maybe they felt threatened by the knowledge that they could do many male orientated roles.
I am not a feminist as such, and had no problem with my role when I was married - I actually believe compatibility within the two roles, but how that compatibility plays out varies depending on the strengths, weaknesses, and circumstances. Interestingly my ex wanted me to run a home, and work full time - I was a Christian,he wasn’t. I felt very strongly that God had given me the role of a mother and wife - and both those roles would have be pushed if I worked full time. I always worked part time to support the family income. Rightly or wrongly I stuck to my guns with that because I felt it was the right thing to do.
Years later , when I discovered all the affairs my ex had had, and the debt he had insured on his credit cards, I realised that his motive was not to provide for the family, but to support his own lifestyle.
I had to follow my heart and take my lead from the Lord, and in my book that is what Christian married couples should do, that way they can work with each other rather than stick to a rigid ‘ you should do this ‘ that may not work for them as a family unit.
Thankfully the man in my life now is Jesus, which does give me a sense of freedom that I didn’t have while I was married - it got quite difficult being married to a non believer xx

And it could be denial on your part - are you saying that it is not true that men have an equal responsibility to look to scripture- because that’s what pearl is saying ........ it’s not deflection, but balance.

Well, the reason we don't see people talking about fulfilling a "man's" role in Christ is because most men ARE fulfilling their roles while women have seemingly lost God over the last hundred - a hundred fifty years or so. Godly men are divorced and treated like trash these days. But regardless of our opinions about divorce most of us would sign the papers because we love our wives and want to see them happy. So I guess sometimes men aren't fulfilling their "Roles" as husbands either. The world is becoming an epidemic. Not just on the ISIS stage, Not just because of terrorism, not just because of school shooting but because both men and women have lost God. Christ told us to be Godly and to do the right thing, despite what the world says about it, how much they rebuke you, and how much they call you names. (Does controlling monster and Misogynistic pig sound familiar? Because, it sure as hell is familiar to me.)
Anyway, Most Godly men have "mostly" been fulfilling their roles since Noah died and most Godly women knew their "place" shall we say since then up until feminism started and they started wanting "equal" rights. It wasn't perfect and can't be perfect today because humanity isn't perfect. We sin. However, this "system" worked for thousands and thousands of years. Now all a sudden women want "equal rights" and the world goes to hell and nobody can see it.
Don't believe me? Look at the world around you. Women are treating their husbands like dirt. Women have all the rights now and men virtually have none. Case and Example you don't need two signatures on divorce papers anymore even though there's two parties involved. How fair is that? Where is a man's right to say "I want to obey Christ who says that I should be with this woman for the rest of my life because I made a promise to GOD to do so?" Oh that's right, we don't have one because us wanting to follow God is oppression.
Also, Husbands that are interested in leading Godly lives are called evil misogynistic pigs because they try to be the sole provider for their families and live the way that God wanted mankind to live since the very first day mankind was created (and technically before that). No, men cannot do that. It's the year 2020 and times have changed. Even though the Bible (and Christ technically) said that the times and God's word has and NEVER WILL change.
I mean, this is all just because today's women don't like what specific parts of the Bible say. Newsflash, either ALL of the word of God is inspired by God, written by God, and is without blemish or error or none of it is. There's no inbetween when it comes to making the lifelong commitment of becoming a Christian. There's no "ooh I like that part of scripture so I'll follow that part." and "Oh no! Christ told me that marriage was final? And Paul and Peter were such Misogynistic pigs? I don't like that part, I'm not going to listen to it." either you follow all of the Bible or you follow none of it.
Also, the world is going to hell now because "womens rights" now say that its legal to murder your own child and as of a year ago here in New York it's now legal to murder a FULL TERM child. A LIVING BREATHING FULL TERM BABY!!!!
and guess what? Men aren't allowed a say in wanting to save their own child's life!

There's also a significantly larger divorce rate now than there was 200 years ago. Hmm... I wonder how that could have possibly happened? And most of the divorces are because women were "mistreated" in a marriage because their husband "laid down the law because Christ said so."
But, It isn't just women who are divorcing their first, second, third ...etc husbands. It's men too. Godly men are declining more and more and more each and everyday because they're afraid of their wives and what their wives would say if they tried to lead and provide for their wives even a little bit. When I first met my wife up until we were married for about three years I was scared to DEATH of her.
Why? Because I got called all kinds of names from her family, got death threats from her father, and was basically treated like I was dog meat just because I interested in living a Godly life with my wife. Just because I was technically raised that way (Thank God) by my own family. Neither of my grandmothers thought they were oppressed and the died with their husbands. My mom's mom married her dad only knowing him about 2-3 weeks! Something unheard of today, yet they were married for over 60 years up until the day my grandfather died. And she still is loyal to my grandfather even after he's been dead for almost 10 years now.
I mean, now because of feminism whenever a man wants to fulfill HIS role in Christ he is called a misogynistic pig. A controlling monster, ...etc. I know, I've gotten enough of that from my wife's family and heck even my wife when we were first dating.
Yet, my wife has started to realize over the years that my intentions were always for her (and my family) at heart. I love my wife more than I love anything else in the world and I only want whats best for her and her eternity. I would do ANYTHING for my wife who was by the way, given to me by God.
This doesn't mean that my wife is my "property" before you say it. No, she is not property, she's my God chosen wife. It means that God chose us to be together before he even formed the world. God planned the entire lives (each and every day) of each and every person who has walked or ever will walk this Earth. I'm not pulling this out of my butt either its in the Bible in several places (Jeremiah 29:11, Psalm 116:13-16 ...etc) the Bible talks about Predestination from start to finish we were ALL predestined in some way, shape, or form. But yet now all of a sudden if a husband thinks his wife was given to him by God it automatically means she's his property? I think not!
After all, God chooses each and every couple that has ever existed and will exist like it or not. It's their willingness to stick through the marriage until the end that is the ultimate test of faith. It is their abilities to BOTH fulfill their roles that is the ultimate test of their faith and we will ALL be judged by God. And I think many women (and men. I'm not a complete sexist pig here) are in for a big surprise on Judgement day when they are rebuked by Christ for not obeying God and God's word. No, I'm not talking about a loss of salvation here, salvation cannot be lost I'm talking about a loss of rewards here and a rebuking from Christ on the day he judges us based on how we all lived our lives and based on how well we served him.
Anyway, this thread isn't just about what I've been talking about. We wanted to discuss a list of a man's roles in and out of marriage. Well, to get the answer to that we have to go to the Bible right?
There are many pieces of scripture that state the role of Adam (and man) but here are the main ones:
Genesis 3:17-19, 1 Timothy 5:8, 1 Peter 3:7, Ephesians 5:25-33, 1 Timothy 3:4 & 3:17, Colossians 3:19
So there you go there's a man's roles. If a man isn't supporting his wife financially and emotionally, if a man isn't always there for his wife, if a man is "Shall we say in today's terms controlling" his wife by directing her in the ways of God and telling and teaching her her role in the household, and teaching her what scripture says and doesn't say and to live by the whole bible and not the ones they like, if a man doesn't live by scripture himself, if a man isn't loving his wife just as much as he loves Christ. If a man does not provide for his household (Which includes bringing his children also up in the word of God) than yes, he isn't fulfilling his role as a man/husband and seriously needs to reevaluate why he got married and came to Christ in the first place. After all, he married his wife to provide for her and to be there for her for better of for worse until DEATH do they part.
If a man is harsh with his wife than yes, he is at fault. But there's a difference between being an actual douchebag and treating her like dirt than trying to encourage her and teach her what the Bible says about the roles of men and women. Don't forget in the ages where slavery was legal, we were supposed to treat our slaves with kindness and respect too. Otherwise, we also denied the faith. True, some people denied this, that is sin and what sin does in the world but God wanted us to treat our slaves with kindness and respect. Not like cattle.
A wife is not cattle, she is a housekeeper, a co parent, and a helper for man. Women were created and designed from the very beginning to help men and to be helpers for them (See Genesis 2:18). Anyway, I've said enough. Now I put on my hard hat and embrace for the impact (lol).
Only a man could write a post like that - look you raise some good points, feminism has opened the door to many issues - and a lot of it drives me nuts but I have ministered to so many Christian women who’s Christian husbands have abandoned them for younger models, or been addicted to porn , or been the pillar of a church but behind closed doors abuses and hits both wife and child, which I might add went on long before feminism hit society - men have been abusing wives throughout history, why do you think Jesus made a point of saying that divorce was wrong accept for adultry - the men were divorcing their wives and abandoning them for stupid reasons or just hitching up with another one because of his own desire and needs ( blimey even king David did )
So , I am sorry, but You cannot presume that most Christian men are decent - just as we can’t say as women, that all women don’t rebel - either way, the teaching is there for both - Jesus would not have placed it in scripture if it wasn’t needed to be heard.

Yes.All these 'decent' men of God abusing children, abusing power, abusing the wives - even if only verbally. Women are not second class citizens and are not all are shrewish or bossy but we need strong decent men, men who take the scriptures to heart, men who will love their wives as Jesus loves the Church. But so many of the guys in charge are self seeking, have big egos and think they are always right.
I didn't mean to say that men are perfect. Nor did I mean to imply that. If you got that message, I apologize. We sin just as much as women do. I will bring up some of your concerns though.
Yes, we are addicted to porn. I was addicted to all different kinds of pornography from the age of about nine until about a year ago (I'm almost 34). Try to look at it from a man's perspective though. We like looking at these women because they're beautiful. We don't really see them as sex objects (Or at least I didn't.) I saw pornography as a way of looking at beautiful women. Then once I met my wife and I became overcome by the desire to only want to see her naked and only want to be with her.
Those were my bachelor days and it was time to become a man.
Christ has set me completely free from masturbation and pornography for about a year now after I constantly prayed to God for years and years to end my addiction. Almost all men are addicted to pornography in some shape or form, it's an epidemic. However, Christ can set you free from the addiction it just takes time. Yes, there are times where I am tempted to view pornography and go back to my old ways. I'm a man and like I said, men like to look at naked women. That's just a fact. Maybe it was ingrained into our brain because Adam and Eve got to see each other naked all those years ago before sin entered the world. And Adam looked at his wife as something, perfect. Just as I look at my wife (half kidding but it could be possible). I realize how wrong it is to look at other women naked however and I was so addicted that it was worse than my addiction to food (Which sadly, still exists but I know God will help me with it someday God continues to work on me and my wife (And you guys) each and everyday.)
Can I say something? I don't mean to sound sexist or anything. I've said my "sexist" piece in my last post. You seem to say that Christian men cheat on their wives. Really? I don't know a whole lot of "Christian men" but the ones that I do know from forums, Instant Messaging, Video games and social media. Would NEVER cheat on their wives? Why? Because the Bible says not to and that it's a grievous sin. So... are these "Christian" men really "Christians?" Because, if they were than they would never make that mistake or if they did they would admit to their mistake like a man and never do it again. I'm not saying I've never been tempted to cheat on my wife before, because I have. But, I've never given into that temptation. Also, I don't because I love her and I don't want to hurt her.
I have seen adultery before. I have seen it completely destroy marriages and families. I won't share my entire life story with you but my sister ex husband (He wasn't a Christian, nor does my sister believe) cheated on her several times. Once when they were engaged and he was in active duty in Egypt (This was before the war started), my sister was hurt she broke up with him but then a few years later after he came back from Egypt she took him again. They were together for about a year or two and then got married because my sister made my niece with him (who's now going to be 14 this year hard to believe) before she was married to him. My dad pretty much forced them to get married. So they married and my niece was born. He cheated on her again several times when they were married and my sister did some cheating of her own and eventually they separated.
Anyway, my niece at the time was about 2 years old so she never knew her father. He was supposed to have full custody to see her every 2 weeks or so and he only ended up seeing her once a year for a week on Christmas ever since they split up. He just shows my niece off like a doll to his family and then sends her "back home" because he wants nothing to do with his daughter it's quite sad.
When God gives me a baby I have so many plans for that Baby. I will be a much better Father than my ex brother in law and quite frankly my dad was to me. (Again, not going into my whole life story)
He was also supposed to pay child support and he didn't for years and years until he finally got a job and the government forced him to pay. He only sees my niece one a week on Christmas and... the entire story is just sad anyway. He definitely was not an example of a man from day one lets just say that.
Then came her current husband who she's been married to for quite a while now. She made a baby with him while she was still married to her ex husband. My entire family exploded (My grandparents on both sides were Christians like I mentioned before, my mom pretends she's a Christian and my dad was raised Protestant but never shared his dad's faith but yet still has some of his beliefs about life) So... anyway... the family exploded and God gave the family and myself the ultimate test. This was the ultimate test for me. I had to love and support a niece who was made out of wedlock and another niece who was made from Adultery.
See the thing is. There's a difference between a man that's trying to be a good Christian husband and the example I gave you of my sisters ex husband who, wasn't a man at all. He was stuck in the toddler age and quite frankly, still is and he's almost in his mid-late 40's now (I forget I haven't talked to my ex brother in law in years). But, it seems like today's feminists miss the mark of what a good Christian husband is. And I'm not completely sexist, men are missing the mark too.
It also seems like less and less men are trying these days and are just giving up. True, we are providers and still continue to be but, I just don't accept gender equality at all. It's against the very nature of how God designed humanity. But, I try to be the best husband that I can be to my wife. Yes, I have a temper, yes I yell at her but I always pray to God to take that anger away because I want to love and respect her and not argue with her. I want us to be in a perfect marriage which of course, isn't possible. But, God is working in our marriage each and every day. My wife doesn't feel oppressed and quite frankly, she's glad that she can help me with my everyday life. She's glad to take care of me. Our marriage isn't perfect, but it's happy.
Marriages will never be perfect because of sin. We can probably both agree with that. Also? I'm sorry if my post sounded angry and jerkish yesterday. I'm on a new medication that is making me irritable. I'm starting to act like my grandfather did when he was alive lol.
