Not really because you used the scriptures alone to support your case. Without the Holy Spirit I do not see the scriptures as being the Word of God. This is why people draw a multitude of conclusions and form a multitude of churches using the same scriptures from the same Bibles. The Holy Spirit does not misdirect, but people who quench the Spirit do. Perhaps you also disagree with this, but it is what I believe and to me therefore very pertinent to the discussion. Use your terms and your logic, but God is only bound by His Word. When the written scriptures are not His Word He is not bound.

How do think it is that God gives His message to people reading very different translations/versions of the scriptures? Sometimes the literal words are so different they are confusing but God who is Not author of confusion is right there through the Holy Spirit to direct the steps of a person is really hungry and thirsty for His righteousness. On the other hand, the committed atheist whose only purpose in reading the scriptures is trip up some unwary believer cannot really understand God message at all... even though he reads and understands the language very well.

We all need an interpreter to understand God's message. To his disciples when Jesus walked planet Earth 2000 years ago He was the interpreter. Then the Holy Spirit [another Comforter] was sent and is now our interpreter. Without an interpreter no man can understand God's message to men. They can read the bare bones dry dead letter of scripture, but they cannot understand the Word of God. This is why the woman [who is this woman?] is told to remain silent in the church [God's gathered people] why any one with a message from God is told to remain silent unless there is an interpreter present. Did you understand the message God gave through Paul? Read Ezekiel 37 about the dry bones and ask God to help you understand!

Maybe I do, maybe I don't.
I just believe that the range of special 'miraculous' experiences were only necessary for as long as it took in order to 'kick-start' something as radically new as the Gospel of a 'spiritual' kingdom, amongst Jews whose expectation was that Jesus was preaching the return to them of the earthly Jerusalem.
But as I've said, maybe that's just 'peeve' at personally having been 'left out' of those experiences.
On the other hand, to me, it makes sense of my general overview of what I see outside of ultra charismatic and 'Pentecostal' expressions of worship (within which I am sooooo uncomfortable).

So, when asked, I say- " I believe in The Greater Grace, "The restoration of all things " ( Acts 3)

Well I have never been to a seminary, so I'll be slow to condemn. Certainly the students there can get some good things, but if they are taught to quench the Spirit of God there like in many of the churches of my experience... how many will have much of the Word of God written in/on their hearts?

The Apostle Paul was a highly educated man of God, but as a man of God who was also educated he was probably one of the exceptions. Most are too rich to fit through the eye of a needle!

Explain

His miracles, His deliverance from demons, His teachings (including the Holy Spirit), His examples, His prophesies....everything the disciples taught came from Him and He commanded them to go out into the world and make disciples of men to deliver the same truth as what He had taught them. In turn those disciples made disciples of His truth and it continued and still continues today from those who understand how to train and raise up new disciples of His truth.

God loves every one of us, but not all people love God and many who say they do may be saying it to please people listening more than to please Him. Stay sincere in that love for Him no matter what else you do. Know what the first things are according to God and keep them really first always!

Perhaps the times on those old forums, especially the ones @Mike Waters started and led. He perhaps does not realize what a very good thing he did there! I like this forum, but it is very big and diluted by the all of the miscellany contained herein. It may be the best thing going, but does it hold a candle to those others gone by?

Remember that His voice is His Word. It does accomplish His purpose. It trims off the dead wood leaving the Living to flourish and bear fruit. It also kills the tree that is not producing any fruit. It also keeps the Way to the Tree of Life so that not just anyone can live forever. It also protects those who trust him...

"So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." Isaiah 55:11

"For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." Heb 4:12

In spite of their experiences they did not know God and they were afraid of Him... as in really afraid. Perhaps they were afraid He would get after them for their own shortcomings, which were many. After all the miraculous things they had witnessed they were only overwhelmed and for the most part never came even close to being God's friend. They wanted to live like everyone else [the Gentiles] did. Same problem is visible in many places today that people call 'church' and the 'house of God'. Like Lot while fellowshipping with a real man of God. [Abram/Abraham], they 'pitch their tents toward Sodom'!
