This goes against much of what Jesus of the Bible taught.
Jesus said:
Matthew 5
[29] And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

The verses you quoted speak of me cutting the offending part from myself, not from another person.
We certainly should help another person who is need when he asks for help or when he is unable to ask.
When, however, for example we see a stranger entering a den, well known for its iniquity, we do not follow him inside grab him by the arm and try force him to leave that place.
What you are advocating is simply not the full counsel of God. Preaching to the lost is not "trying to twist one's arm", but rather sounding the alarm. Some will hear and some won't.
You are reading into my words things that I did not say.
"And if ye go to war in your land against the enemy that oppresseth you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the LORD your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies." Num 10:9
The disagreement here is the *how* the preaching is done. Not the fact that preaching is done (which everyone agrees is a good thing)
You are in error to assert that all preaching is the same. Were any of the apostles', disciples', and /or prophets' preaching style the same? No, as they all had their own unique personality, just as God designed. Secondly, I am persuaded to believe that many in the Christian world do not recognize the hour that we are living in, i.e., the days of Noah and sodom and gomorrah; the hour is late and the night approaches, so will you warn the lost or comfort them?
I'd say the publicans and harlots . . . and the people who celebrate Halloween . . . may enter the kingdom before some people who call themselves Christians. Some people are so busy seeing or imagining flaws in others, they don't have time to take a look at themselves.
I didn't say anything about different personalities. The disagreement here is over entirely different methods. Not all methods were created equal and some are downright wrong.
Complete nonsense because you have completely distorted the intent of that Scripture given by Jesus. What's more, it may well be that a few of those Halloween celebrators might enter Heaven by repenting of their sins because of the street preachers.
Well, you're not the judge of such matters, but we know the One who is. Our testimony is with Him, but I'm not certain of who your testimony is with.
Yes, some might find God, despite being yelled at like that by a bunch of self-righteous fanatics.

How rich to tell me I'm not the judge of such matters after you judge people for celebrating Halloween. Thanks for the laugh. It's becoming more and more obvious as we go along that you use the Bible to condemn others while justifying yourself. Maybe I shouldn't laugh since it is sad.
Perhaps these wild street preachers would be wise to cut out their tongues. I tell you if they offend innocent people, especially children, so they reject Jesus, they will have much to answer for on Judgment Day.

You are exactly right....people thinking of coming to church have to take a double take....do we really want to become that? What would Sunday school be like for kids at that church?
Truly disappointing to the Kingdom of God for you to suggest such a thing. Stephen was stoned to death for making the people of his time angry at the truth. Would your preaching, or lack thereof, anger people to point that they would cause you to be put to death? Go ahead and make excuses by trying to show the differences of these street preachers and Stephen's case to justify yourselves.
