Would the Apostolic and Church Fathers meet that criteria?Anyone who communicates the word of God with faithful exegesis.

Thank you for disagreeing with my one statement. It means that you agree with my other statement. It's pretty simple kiddo. You made a statement. You didn't back it up. You failed. It is not up to me to back up a statement of yours that I disagree with!
It is up to the listener to judge with every teaching as to whether it is faithful to proper exegesis (see Acts of the Apostles 17:10-11). Their statements do not hold the same authority as the word of God, as you have already agreed to.Would the Apostolic and Church Fathers meet that criteria?

And the Bible has more authority than your doctrine....back to square one kiddo.Thank you for disagreeing with my one statement. It means that you agree with my other statement.
We can go from here with the understanding that the Bible has more authority than Catholic doctrine.
Your statements do not hold the same authority as the word of God soooo why should anyone accept your interpretation of Scripture? It is up to the listener to judge with every teaching as to whether it is faithful to proper exegesis. Their statements do not hold the same authority as the word of God, as you have already agreed to.
Okay...if you can show from the Bible that Catholic Church doctrine takes precedence over the Bible, I'm all ears. And the Bible has more authority than your doctrine....back to square one kiddo.
It's up to the listener????It is up to the listener to judge with every teaching as to whether it is faithful to proper exegesis (see Acts of the Apostles 17:10-11). Their statements do not hold the same authority as the word of God, as you have already agreed to.
I encourage everyone to use their minds and reason with the LORD (Isaiah 1:18) and to be a Berean (Acts of the Apostles 17:10-11) concerning anything that I might have to say to them about what is taught in the Bible.Your statements do not hold the same authority as the word of God soooo why should anyone accept your interpretation of Scripture?
In your book WHO's statements do hold some authority?

Ummm.....I never said that CC doctrine takes precedence over Scripture. You did!!Okay...if you can show from the Bible that Catholic Church doctrine takes precedence over the Bible, I'm all ears.
I didn't tell you you were wrong...It's up to the listener????
Sooooo no one can ever tell me if I am wrong since it is up to me.....Why do you keep telling me I am wrong?
Your violating your own theory....;)
I encourage everyone to use their minds and reason with the LORD (Isaiah 1:18) and to be a Berean concenring anything thag I might have to say to them about what is taught in the Bible.
Don't take my word for anything...check it by the holy scriptures.
If Catholic doctrine doesn't take precedence over scripture, then scripture takes precedence over Catholic doctrine....and I'm happy with that conclusion.Ummm.....I never said that CC doctrine takes precedence over Scripture. You did!!![]()
Where did I tell you that you are wrong unless you agree with me?You encourage everyone to use their minds and reason but when one does that you tell them they are wrong unless they agree with you....Fascinating.
Well....Yes YOU DID....you are an intriguing person.I didn't tell you you were wrong...
But if in my proclaiming the truth you came to the conclusion that what you have believed is wrong, then perhaps that conclusion is based in truth.
I said, "you are wrong..."Well....Yes YOU DID....you are an intriguing person.![]()
Not exactly...I said that I believe that this is what the Catholic Church teaches.Ummm.....I never said that CC doctrine takes precedence over Scripture. You did!!![]()
I have news for you:
If anyone had tried that on me before I became a Christian I would have jump off my bike and kicked him in the ass.
Sorry if that sounds cruel, but it's exactly what I would have done.
The only reason I became a Christian was because a Spirit led believer
told me his testimony about what God had done in his life.
I did not come to Christ because some nut case told me I was going to hell.
Did you all really listen to the video?
'
Did any of you feel the love of God flowing from the so called 'preachers'?
Was there any heartfelt appeal from the heart?
Telling someone that a mill stone will be about their neck etc etc is hardly wooing them , or even going into the byways and calling them to the wedding feast ...no, just a brow beating that 'hit the wall and fell to the ground'. I see no loving 'seed sowing' done there.![]()
This is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. Sweet talking people in their sins in NOT love.
