Why do bad things happen to good people?

I thought so.
The only friends we have ( other than on here) are friends we made while living in community back in the 70's . Many people , cooking , eating and worshipping together bonded us. NOT that we all agreed on everything ..but there is still a bond. Since then ( leaving) early 90's , we haven't made 'real' friends.

I so wish we lived close by you.

I know that I have asked you before, but is there no chance you would use facebook to connect a bit more ?

Oh good, my daughter lives on the border of Idaho and Washington.
At Liberty Lake close by Coeur d'Alene, we visit them a couple of times a year.. this Christmas being one...if you end up anywhere near that area , we could "do lunch". Or even better..."come for Christmas" , they have a big house!!! :)

And....Idaho is a border State, as are we ...but Idaho is below BC. So we can’t go straight down to Idaho....
Straight down is just 3 hours from the border. Montana (which I love )

I have not been on board much, But I just read what you had to say, and I believe this is so True! He has suffered, unjustly, But with a cause, for He made His Choice for the Good of His Father's Creation. Just Think!! This Realm will be as it was in the Beginning, when He said it's Very Good.
Thank You for your post, sometimes the simplest statement can be a Tremendous Blessing. Cheryl passed 200 days ago, and it has been a nightmare, but your statement is a comfort to Me. Thank You Again!

I changed my avatar because my hair is grey, but in my other photo's the colour is 'off' and makes it look more brownish. This is a closer picture to the 'real me'. But, the photo still lies, because my wrinkles don't show! Hahaha!!

I never thought of mothers day being bad. Christmas , and days like that.
It probably crept up on you when you weren't expecting it.

Has her birthday happened yet? Will that be a bad one?
If it hasn't happened you at least you can 'pray-up' ahead of time against it.

I so often think and worry about Glenn ( @Truth ) I wonder how he is getting on. I may be wrong, but I don't feel that he has as many family and friends around as you do for support.

I wish he were on Facebook.

Do you just not have an appetite since she died..or is it that you just don't like to cook for one person?

Im sure if Dave died I would live on Oatmeal, toast and cookies. I was a good cook when the kids were still at home. But I actually hated cooking. All that work, and then it is gone in 15 mins! Lucky for me, Dave loves cooking, and he has taken it over since he retired. He also like grocery shopping!! Which I also hate. ( gardening is my thing...which he happens to hate!! )
Hence with him cooking, I have put on weight !! LOL

Because good people think they are immune from bad things due to their “goodness” so the bad things feel unfair.

Taking the “rain”, which falls on the good and the bad and simply being grateful for the good times is a more realistic and humble approach to life.

The Holy Father is not two faced and a hypocrite, he commanded us to pray for our enemies and love those that hate us. Likewise the Holy Father does not hate evil people, it is more of a disappointment in them. This life is a test for all people, good and bad happens to everyone to see how they will behave as a witness for them on Judgement Day. The Holy Father is fair to all his creation, because he is just and good.

Chocolate !!! Well I do not think, that will be a Addiction that will be a problem! it is as natural as a sweet Razzberry. Healthy food, what is that in our world of processed food! Anyway I wouldn't be too concerned about it, at our stage in Life!! Enjoy the Simple thing's in this Life! Peace and Comfort to You, In our Lord!
Anyway to be on spot with this Thread, we all will face troublesome event's, try to find comfort in the little things, they do add up!
My Employer's Just had to put down their dog, Cheryl really liked the dog, She would have suffered over the dog's end, and yet She was not here to even know it happened, You would have had to know Cheryl, But She did so Love all Life, So in Essence She was Spared the Sorrow, and many Sorrow's to come!!
Please forgive me, I think it was coreissue that posted a response that was sorta like this! our God has through Our Savior experienced every Sorrow we can, and without a cause, for our sake's!
