So what's the meaning of meeting the Lord in the air.
I agree. My point was that if want to know truth we need to start with the fact that we cannot know 100% that other minds exist. Like I said, since we cannot solve this problem then I choose as most people do is to go ahead and believe other minds do exist and reality is as it seems. From here sufficient evidence is needed to believe something is true. Without it how can you know something is true. The evidence criteria is left up to the individual. We can't know anything for sure 100% but we make evaluations of what is true based on evidence and not faith.Solipsism? That's kind of dumb. Because then you would be arguing either with something you feel cannot exist, or you would be arguing with yourself. LOL
This is one of Christianities big problems. Christians have very different beliefs on salvation, if they cannot agree on salvation why should anyone think they have an answer?I'd only say that anyone professing to be a Christian who doesn't believe that the sacrifice of Christ atoned for sin or claim that he didn't rise from the tomb, is No Christian at all.. That's like claiming to be a conservative but voting for Bernie Sanders. :)
Sound's very rapturous.Just what is says, unlike evangelicals I don't think it's cryptic or has any secret meaning.
That is not enough. What abut Jesus? What does Jesus have to do with salvation? Look up Red Letter Christians, they don't believe that Jesus died for forgiveness of sins, they believe god just forgives without a sacrifice.
Sound's very rapturous.
You did. Through your words and attitudes here. I've asked repeatedly if you were interested in study and getting past the superficial straw man arguments you keep presenting here. You scoffed at the idea.Where did I say I was unwilling to do work?
I do hear you Taken...I used to do nothing BUT talk about the rapture in my early days but then, I found out there was pre, mid, post ...
But you won't tell me where I did this? Can you name one straw man argument I raised? You did. Through your words and attitudes here. I've asked repeatedly if you were interested in study and getting past the superficial straw man arguments you keep presenting here. You scoffed at the idea.
The rapture and trinity share common ground, as it is not mentioned directly in the bible. To you maybe but not to me. Of course after much study a long time ago I abandoned that position that there is any idea of an evangelical literal rapture
I heard the same. And then kept digging, to find out "who" was saying "what" and
"when" and "why".
There are multiple redeemings, and several resurrections, and One Rapture for a specific people.
Glory to God,
Taken

I want sufficient evidence to believe god exists,
if there is sufficient evidence he exists then I want god to be more moral than how the bible describes god.
If there is presented to me sufficient evidence to believe and he is as the bible describes him then I would seriously have to think about following or promoting that god. I believe a god worth following would be at least be more moral than myself.
We already had this exact conversation: I gave the example of how any presentation of "X believe you are saved by works" is a straw man argument misrepresenting that groups beliefs, and to really understand those beliefs (not the fake straw man), you need to be willing to listen and study. I asked if you were willing to do that study, and you immediately scoffed at that. But you won't tell me where I did this? Can you name one straw man argument I raised?
Good, then you have no clue to christians. No, I am just repeating what some Christians believe. I have no way to determine if a god exists let alone what he would be like or do.
Shall I remind you again of this verse.
1 Corinthians 13:12 King James Version (KJV) 12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
They didn't know everything, so the bible doesn't know everything.
