When Jesus came on the scene in Palestine 2000 years ago he turned the popular theories on the character, the nature, and the kingdom of God on its head. Jesus came to free them from sin. The Rabbis wanted God to exalt them so they and their temple could become the center of the universe. Jesus came to make God the center of the universe. Today, because of the skewed teachings of the popular church, the same thing is happening. While the church is praying for wealth, happiness, reputation, and power, the unbelieving world is getting the wrong idea of Who and what God is about. Jesus Himself said "seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness." Jesus is still looking for a people who are desirous to be free from sin. 2000 years ago He found a rag-tag bunch of fishermen and tax-collectors and prostitutes. They formed the nucleus of His new church. It is very easy to hide from God in religion. He hasn't changed. He is still looking for a people who are willing to be freed from sin. And the only ones who will accept Him are those willing to admit to that need of freedom. The religious in Jesus day thought they had arrived. They had no need of a Savior from sin, they wanted wealth and power. What about you? Are you hiding from God in religion? Or are you willing to admit that you are a sinner, and in desperate need of a Savior?

first thanks for the reply, second, Last night I have never seen such incompetence in handling of the scriptures by ... Christians.
first it was Jesus setting on the throne, then the Father, then both, now all of us in Christ on the same one throne... my God.

these answers came from Christians. I can see if someone from the world might make all these changes in one setting, but Christians?.....

the apostle Paul is correct when he by the Holy Spirit, wrote,

This was in response to the question "What happens when a man dies?" But it is totally incorrect. Man is comprised of body, soul, and spirit. Introducing the word "flesh" simply leads to confusion. The soul and spirit are immaterial and imperishable. Therefore physical death is the SEPARATION of the soul and spirit from the body.

The body goes into the grave, but the soul and spirit either go to be with Christ in Heaven (for those who are in Christ), or to Hades (the abode of departed spirits without Christ). So the soul does not go into the ground, and that is the false doctrine of Soul Sleep.

Since Hades is in the lower parts of the earth or the heart of the earth (near the core of the earth, not a pit in the ground) Paradise was never in Hades. Paradise has always been in Heaven (after the Fall), and it called *the Paradise of God*.

It is crystal clear from Revelation 1 that BOTH the Father and the Son identify themselves as "I AM ALPHA AND OMEGA". This would not be true unless Christ is the ETERNAL Son of God, and is Himself God.
