hmm, not painful at all, many ppl even seek it as a cheap trip i guess. But the effects are not like any other trip, dunno if you ever noticed that mushrooms/LSD tend to like make one more open to the outside; darnel does notThe word "darnel" makes it difficult to understand but perhaps you mean to eat something that is not best but is at least a step above starvation. That could be a painful lesson, but if it really was learned...?
I would guess that the religious leaders of the Jews in the time Jesus walked as a man in Jerusalem considered him effectively a member of a cult for his "heresies".No, I agree with the Ecumenical Creeds. Christendom believes any church not in agreement is a cult.
i can't help now but hear an inferred "please" in that "will you also go away?" lolI would guess that the religious leaders of the Jews in the time Jesus walked as a man in Jerusalem considered him effectively a member of a cult for his "heresies".
I haven't belonged to any church group since leaving formal Catholicism that was not considered a cult by someone. If we have to walk it alone as Jesus was willing to do here...:
"... Will ye also go away? " John 6:67
would that make us wrong? Jesus certainly was not wrong.

Sorry no experience with any of those. I only ever tried marijuana [in California] and Hashisch [in Germany] and those were short lived experiences. My only regular natural "highs" were from alcohol on purpose and once from paint fumes by accident.hmm, not painful at all, many ppl even seek it as a cheap trip i guess. And if person belongs to many smaller unorthodox church groups today the mainstream "Christianity" people consider him a member of a cult or even a heretic. On and on it goes. The Romans considered Christianity a cult. The Jews considered them heretics

but my point there was really more like it would be much better to experience darnel than to dismiss it as simply a "weed."Just like a little bit of arsenic would be good for your health.
There it is again: you are appealing to the opinions of sinners. You are not referring to Christ. If I agree with Christendom
Does it? Without looking it up I would define orthodox as what I call mainstream Protestants which may include several denominations but certainly a very large part of the US population. Catholic I would define as universal although it definition through usage has changed for people not belonging to the Catholic Church.Orthodox implies catholic in nature.
I spent the time from age 6 to age 18 as an active and even a devout Catholic. Orthodox meaning Protestant never unless that is what I was prior to age 6.I'm not catholic, orthodox or cult.

As to the cult. I have always avoided calling anyone in any church called Christian a cult member no matter what other people might say. I 've met the Mormons and JWs at the door and always tried to deal with them honestly with what I would call Christian charity. Especially the Mormons were usually very sincere in what they were doing. The JWs almost never came back so I did not get to know them.
The young Mormons on the other hand had very good discussions with me about the Bible and Jesus. Better discussions than I have been able to have with most people labeled Christian main stream. I learned more from them about Mormonism than from my brother and his wife who were Mormons for many years.
FYI: Mormon missionaries aren't that organized to have a 'black list'.orthodox christianptu at DuckDuckGo
I've had many discussions with JW's and Mormons. JW's really don't discuss, they preach. Mormons do discuss.
After my last discussion with their missionaries, one dragged the other out of my home, who was crying. Ever since they bypass my house, so obviously I am black listed.
What if it is a noxious weed?but my point there was really more like it would be much better to experience darnel than to dismiss it as simply a "weed."
I do miss the discussions. A few years ago we moved from our home to a semi-gated community where no sales people nor missionaries are allowed without an specific invitation. Unfortunately that rule has locked them out. So these days I have either have to attend a church building or get on the Internet. While I do attend at least one church service each week several things stand in the way of me visiting other services so when I have time I am on Christian forums like this one.orthodox christianptu at DuckDuckGo

I had a couple of young Mormon girls here once, but I had met them prior to moving and was able to call and advise them of our new address. But when their mission time ended they went home. Since then with my wife's especially poor health and my own occasional health difficulties I have never seriously considered arranging any more visits. On top of that my old pastor depends heavily on me. We keep on thinking he'll pass from this life soon, but he holds on and continues ministering. At 93 he has been a widower for 6 years and is very frail but God isn't finished with him yet. It will honestly be a relief when the extra burden on me is gone even though I love that old man.You could always invite people over if you'd like.
I do hear you about having issues attending services other place though-- scheduling have too prevented me from attending other services remotely as much as I'd like. Hence my more reaching out online (including this forum). If you want i can give you a recommendation of other good/decent places online, depending what you're looking for.
It's fantastic to hear about your great pastor and that you've found good homes online. I've found that... online can be a rough place. I do like it here.I had a couple of young Mormon girls here once, but I had met them prior to moving and was able to call and advise them of our new address. As for other online contacts, thank you but I must pass. I belong to many online Christian forums now as I have never quit a forum in the many years I've been on the Internet. Helen [@"ByGrace" ] has known me on a few of them for better than 10 years. But most of them of course I rarely visit anymore or some may no longer exist. Thank you for your kindness.
Do you have any bible study books or study bibles? Creeds are no different. You benefit from some and reject others. But to lump them all together and shun them doesn't make sense. There it is again: you are appealing to the opinions of sinners. You are not referring to Christ.
And yes, that is a problem.
