ya, too bad the Bible does not, huh.
i'm not interested in the silly word games Mungo; if you choose to believe that "Easter" is in the Bible where It says "Passover," then by all means enjoy your own facts, i have no objection.Agree with you? No it doesn't

this is because i see that it is pointless to show you that that is not really in the original, where It says "Passover," and not from any feeling of having lost or won...anything. I'll just wait here while you go verify that there is no "Easter" in your Lexicon, shall i.Then why keep bringing it up? You asked where it was in the Bible and I showed you. When you bring it it up it just reminds me you lost but just can't accept the fact.

Btw what do i win if i am right? Besides a proper grasp of Christ as our Passover, i mean. But perhaps Ishtar or Oester will save you, if you roll enough eggs or something, what do i know.
the original is the original, and which translation is moot. Find me a copy of the original that says "Easter"--whilst i just hold my breath lol--and we'll go from there, howbow da? Jesus already. You didn't specify the original or a particular translation.
Just accept that you lost that one and move on in your life rather than brooding over it.

goodbye, Mungo.Ah!. Now you want to add in restrictions. You should have though about that before.
Lies and deception, you full well know easter is not in the bible because it was never celebrated, has nothing to do with Jesus, never did never will just like christmas, yet if some people actually think of Jesus for just one day of teh year what harm can it bring, just liek this whole topic, what does it have to do with Jesus and salvation?? Absolutely nothing, just another person put between man and Jesus, along with all teh priests. deacons, pastors, leaders, poes, teacher etc etc. Thats why JEsus said..You didn't specify the original or a particular translation.
Your Scriptural ignorance is ALMOST as astounding as your complete inability to tell the truth.Asking an inanimate object to speak on your behalf is Idolatry.
If that inanimate object happens to be a dead person, that's Necromancy. Asking the dead to speak on your behalf is Necromancy.
Dispute this if you want, there's nothing in the scriptures that allows for such behavior.k
WRONG.I didn't see anywhere in 1 kings 8:10-22 where God approved of statues in the temple. Perhaps I missed it after a long day's work.
I do see the ark mentioned and yes... They had Cherubims. Is that what you are referring to?
Well, I've already addressed this and didn't get much of a reply. If God tells you not to do something and then gives one or two instances where he did it or told someone to do it, its not an open license for everyone to do it.
I will go through the scenerios again. God said don't kill, then he ordered the killing of whole nations. He was against harlotry and then told one of his prophets to go to a harlot.
But do we look at that and say its ok? Of course not! Yet I see a lot of Christians doing that with a number of things. Praying in public for example. Calling Priests father. He said don't do it yet the reaction is to find someone who did it in the Bible and declare that order null and void.
Where I differ from everyone else on graven images is that I believe he didn't want them made at all. PERIOD. everyone else seems to think its ok as long as you don't worship them. I disagree.
Now before you tell me how wrong I am, why don't you ask me about it first. The bottom line is that I believe under grace it is no longer an issue (of course as long as you aren't worshipping them). So, I'm on your side on this one BOL.
Now if no one wants to discuss my point I am fine with that. But every time someone talks about the "many" times God said build statues (the both of them: the brass snake and the cherubims) my reply is that just because God said to do it there doesn't give you the right to do it here.
WRONG.
This is what the BIBLE says on the matter:
In the inner sanctuary he made two cherubim of olivewood, each ten cubits high. . . . He put the cherubim in the innermost part of the house. . . . He carved all the walls of the house round about with carved figures of cherubim and palm trees, and open flowers, in the inner and outer rooms. . . . For the entrance to the inner sanctuary he made doors of olivewood. . . . He covered the two doors of olivewood with carvings of cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers; he overlaid them with gold (1 Kgs. 6:23, 27, 29, 31, 32).
1 Kings 9:3 goes on to say that God was PLEASED with the Temple - statues included:
“I have heard the prayer and plea you have made before me; I have consecrated this temple, which you have built, by putting my Name there forever. My eyes and my heart will always be there."
These are not the golden cherubim on top of the ark - but olivewood statues.
God did NOT forbid the creation of images - but the WORSHIP of them as gods (idols).
If God forbade the creation of statues - He would never have told Moses to create statues. He would never have approved of Solomon's Temple. And, don't forget - He didn't tell Solomon to create them. Solomon had these graven images created to glorify God - and God was pleased.
God is not a hypocrite.

LOLI'm not attacking them. Why do you assume I am. Yes I pointed a finger or two, but that's only because of what was admitted to. Worshiping Jesus through images.
This has nothing to do with them. Go back and follow the debate from the start.
I see you can't even defend your false accusations. We can only hope.
