I stand by what I said the pope he was a Great Spiritual leader in our time who led his people in troubled times fighting for the poor he can rest in peace with God and receive his reward.Hundreds of thousands of us were praying for his soul for weeks.

‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over your time upon the earth working to bear fruit for God I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master and receive your reward.

I'm not Catholic (anymore) but I'm confident that Jesus welcomed Francis into Heaven.

Are you Catholic?

Yes I am fully sacrament wise I have explored other Christian Churches and have come back I am saved by my faith in the death and resurrection of Christ like everyone else it is where I have put all my faith and hope. The Catholic Church celibates his sacrifice at every mass the sacrifice I have put all my faith hope into I won't find it anywhere else like in the Catholic Church at least for me.This is my faith I respect your faith and journey to God in Christ where we all hope to meet one day in joy.God bless everyone and may we all enter into his Joy as I know Francis has.

Everyone seems to have their own doctrinal differences and they are irrelevant to salvation. What's important is following the Great Commandment. May God bless you too my brother.

Confessing to priest is against the bible what did Jesus send his disciples out to do and it was not just the 12 - what were they doing?
This is all one sentence….so let’s break it up to make some sense of what you said…..
“Confessing to a priests is against the Bible”…..it is because there were no “priests“ officiating in the first century “church”. The Bible clearly indicates that the Christian priesthood was to be served in heaven, made up of God’s elect, and an office to be served at a future time.

Rev 20:4-6…New Catholic Bible…
Under the heading….”The Reign of the Martyrs: Return and Destruction of Satan”.…it says….
“Next, I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given the authority to judge. I also saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for bearing witness to Jesus and the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them. They WILL BE PRIESTS of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years.

What is this telling us? It gives us a timeframe for the rulership of the Christ and his elect…the time of the beast and it’s mark on the foreheads and hands of the people. We are talking about today and what is soon to take place. Only those who did not receive the mark would be saved. These “lived” at that time, because their resurrection had taken place in preparation for the kingdom to “come” and take over the rulership of redeemed mankind…a time for God’s will to be “done on earth as it is in heaven”. (Daniel 2:44)

It then speaks of “the rest of the dead” who are raised during that 1000 years reign of Christ and who are cleansed of all Adamic sin…they finally come to experience what perfect sinless life was meant to be.

But those who experience the ”first resurrection”, will be priests of God and of Christ”…not that they “are” priests already before their death.

So confessing sins to an earthly priest is not what scripture says…..we are to confess our sins to God or to those who might help us regain our spiritual footing…..the leaders in the congregation who may become priests in the heavenly kingdom, but who have to die and be resurrected first….and in the timeframe that the Bible states…..
Its all nonsense and anti catholic jargon I hear it all the time.I bet you have never even investigated you just repeating the words of others you have no personal experience or actually really looked into it.
Having studied the Bible with many Catholic people over the years, I am certain of one thing….they know very little about their origins, or the origins of their doctrines. When they see from the Bible how far “the church” has strayed from the original teachings of Christ, they are appalled and often very angry that they were misled for so long.
Catholics are saved by faith in the death and resurrection of Christ just like every other Christian. Catholics are not told works saved that was a argument over the sacraments if you understand it.All Christians must bear fruit for God and Jesus himself clearly tells us to do it and what does he say - that your reward will be greater in heaven. If your not interested in a greater reward that's up to you Anyone trying to find their salvation in works simply does not understand the faith it is never preach in any Christian Church that works save if you understand it correctly.
And there is the clincher…..”if you understand it correctly”…. does the church demonstrate that it understands the role of faith along with works? That neither, on their own merit, has any sway with God. Where does it say that faith alone saves anyone.
James gives the example of Abraham and shows what faith combined with works looks like…

James 2:14-26….New Catholic Bible.
Under the heading “True Faith Is Proved by Works”. It says….
“What good is it, my brethren, if someone claims to have faith but does not have good works? Can such faith save him? . . . .But perhaps someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith without works, and by works I will show you my faith. You believe that there is one God. You do well to assert that. But even the demons believe and tremble. You fool! Do you want proof that faith without works is futile? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? Thus, you can see that his faith and his works were active together; his faith was brought to completion by works. You can see, then, that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone. . . . .For just as the body is dead without a spirit, so faith without works is also dead”.

Are you arguing with Scripture?

As for the sacraments being works I noticed many are back in the reform Church not exactly in the same way with only 3 missing.Baptism, Sacred Marriage, healing oils and don't deny it even forms of communion in some of the reformed churches gee I wonder how that happened. The only ones that you won't see is confession confirmation and the holy order which does not belong in the reformed Church so they will never be there they are strictly Catholic so you cannot call them works if its something you do yourself. It's not even a argument anymore the only reason people argue is that they don't understand what the original argument on works was about to begin with. They think its actually preached when clearly it is not.The doctrine of works is the sacrament if you do understand it.Go ahead tell me the sacraments are works but don't do anything similar if your calling them works remove them and go back to faith alone before you do that .
I have no idea what any of that means or how it relates even vaguely to the teachings of the Christ….
What are “the original arguments on works”? Please tell us.

Please also tell us about the sacraments as these also pertain only to Roman Catholicism….
Can we examine the validity of them?

I am not argue it I am a Catholic live with it I am not going to criticize and try to take your faith away we have the same Savior who will save us by faith the exact same way he saves you. I am a Christian.I have even had people tell me my Baptism is not valid because its Catholic that there is no way I have the holy spirit of course they have no idea what confirmation is.I turn the other cheek. You hate me for it do not care for my soul and hope I am damned for being Catholic a small majority I do not hope the same for you I hope the exact opposite that you are saved and if you have the faith you are. I do have the same faith do you know another way to find salvation as a Christian is there someone else who will make the sacrifice of atonement for me and forgive all my sins?He who will raise me up to eternal life at death my master and Savior my God - no there is no one else and no other way.Do you think the first question you are asked is which Church you belong to and what doctrine you followed that that is going to save you then you don't understand faith that is not where you find salvation. You have to tune out the noise of the world and get to the real faith which is faith in his death and resurrection that you can find in any Christian Church so yes I do believe salvation is there not just in the Catholic Church its there by faith. Can you find salvation somewhere else or some other way?.

I will say it again I have said it all the time I am saved by having faith in the death and resurrection of Christ is Jesus not saving you too and raising you up to eternal life.Let me guess the sacrifice is paganism - now many can't understand the sacrifice when its vital to their salvation and want to eliminating it eliminating all salvation. It is your salvation in his sacrifice it what this faith is all about your not going to find it in doctrine - doctrine does not save faith in his sacrifice saves.Doctrine helps you understand that.

If you're ever interested in discussing doctrine I am willing to do so with you privately. I encourage you to ignore the hypocrites here who claim to know what Jesus wants while telling you that you're doing it wrong.

Jesus said the two most important things for us to do is to love God and to love one another. That's where our focus should be.

It would really help to know who you are addressing in your responses….

And can I ask if English is your first language?
A block of text with little punctuation is like someone speaking without taking a breath….it doesn’t make a lot of sense, so I’m sorry that I cannot address what you have said unless I understand it…..

It's a complete racket from head to toe. Didn't you watch the film the Godfather Part III?

Mobsters and the Vatican are like the world’s most corrupt tag team. One guy whacks three people in a parking garage, dumps the bodies in the Hudson, then swings by St. Anthony’s like, “Hey Father, bless me, I gotta knock off a few more next week, just makin’ sure I ain’t goin’ to hell or nothin’. You know how it is.” And the priest’s like, “Say ten Hail Marys and try not to shoot anybody until Sunday.” It’s like the Vatican gave these guys a spiritual punch card for 24/7 corruption. Kill five, confess five — sixth one’s free. This system’s been running for centuries. They turned murder into a sacrament and confession into a criminal rinse cycle. Forget “organized religion” — this is organized crime’s loyalty program.

And it ain’t just Tony the Thumb from Jersey either — this racket goes all the way up the ladder. Kings and queens used to roll in with blood on their hands, entire wars started in their name, and the Vatican would be like, “Ah yes, Your Majesty — five Ave Marias and a new cathedral wing, and you’re absolved.” Confession was basically a divine receipt for war crimes. Fast-forward a few centuries — now it’s CEOs, politicians, and international demons in suits. They don’t need horse-drawn carriages — they fly into Rome on private jets, kiss a ring, donate to some “charity,” and boom — eternally cleared for insider trading, child trafficking, murder and whatever happens in Brussels at 3 a.m. They kneel at an altar of gold, whisper “forgive me, Father,” then go right back to burning the planet for quarterly gains. And the Vatican? They just smile, pour the wine, and slip back into their red Prada slippers like it’s holy business as usual.

This isn’t Christianity. Not even close. This isn’t how Jesus taught us to live — this is a political crime syndicate dressed in robes, trading repentance for donations and calling it grace. Jesus didn’t say, “Blessed are the wealthy who bribe the priests and keep killing.” He said, “Blessed are the meek… blessed are the pure in heart.” Jesus didn’t say, “Build cathedrals of gold and protect pedophiles behind Latin titles.” He said, “Whatever you’ve done to the least of these, you’ve done to Me.” He didn’t say, “Confess to a priest and go back to sinning — just make sure you check in weekly.” He said, “Go and sin no more.” He didn’t say, “Take bribes from kings and call them holy.” He flipped tables in the temple for less than that. And He definitely didn’t say, “Form a religious empire, silence dissent, rewrite My gospel, and tax peasants to kiss your ring.” He said, “If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all.”

So let’s be clear: what the Vatican has built is not the Church Jesus founded. It’s the very thing He warned us about — wolves in sheep’s clothing, blind guides, a religious empire that honors God with its lips but denies Him with its heart. They turned grace into a business, forgiveness into a transaction, and the cross into a brand. This isn’t Christ’s kingdom, it’s Babylon 2.0 — cloaked in incense, marble, and sacred theater. They traded the blood of Christ for the power to absolve kings, bless corruption, and silence the gospel. Jesus came flipping tables. Rome came gilding them in gold and calling it holy tradition.

You take the Scofield Bible’s twisted theology, with lunatic televangelists screaming, “We’ve got to send more tanks and nukes to Israel for JESUS!” — preaching that modern geopolitical Israel is the key to salvation — and then you add a thousand years of Vatican corruption, abuse, idol worship, and spiritual racketeering. What you get isn’t Christianity. You get a schizophrenic religious Frankenstein stitched together by colonizers, kings, popes, and warmongers. No wonder so many bright young people are walking away. They’re not stupid. They see the gold-plated hypocrisy, the contradictions, the power games — and they ask the obvious question: “How can these clowns be godly?” And they’re right. It doesn’t add up. It’s not the gospel. It’s not Jesus. It’s two systems dressed up in His name while doing the exact opposite of what He taught. And calling that Christianity doesn’t just push people away — it mocks the very One who died to set them free.

Neither of us know what was in Francis' heart or anyone else. Only Jesus can judge.

Jesus said out of a good man's heart proceeds either good or evil and this guy taught things that are contrary to what the Lord says in His Word so clearly the man was an agent of darkness who led people away from walking with the Lord as he sought to lead people to his false religious social club

Nah. People need to be loving and good-hearted. I doubt that Jesus cares about anyone's "knowledge".

That's what satan told Adam and Eve in the garden... "No need to listen to God, He doesn't know anything"

She's going to hell too if she doesn't not repent of her sins, get born again, and start walking with the Lord Jesus

the pope he was a great spiritual leader

That's what the devil is trying to get every one to agree with

When I was a kid, long before I ever became a Christian, I saw stuff like this in the movies and I somehow knew it wasn't right.

If someone truly knows and believes the gospel according to Scripture, they cannot pretend that someone who promoted a false gospel is in heaven just to sound polite. Pope Francis spent his life promoting teachings that directly contradict the Bible—elevating Mary, encouraging interfaith unity at the expense of truth, claiming authority over Christ’s church, and teaching that works and sacraments are part of salvation. That is not the gospel. Galatians 1:8 is clear: “But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed.” Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone, not through any religious system, no matter how large or long-standing. It’s not our place to declare with certainty where anyone is now, but we can and must warn others not to follow the same path. A truly born-again believer should grieve for the millions misled and use this moment to point people back to the Word of God, where the only true gospel is found. If you want more answers rooted in Scripture and not religion, we go deeper in our Space The True Gospel of Jesus Should We Say the Pope Is in Heaven? What Truly Born-Again Christians Must Understand When someone famous dies, especially someone seen ... .
What a load of you-know-what...

It's a good thing.

All of the catholics popes are false teachers leading people astray

Praying to mary isn't biblical and is ineffective

Jesus and His Apostles never taught anyone to pray to mary

the catholics popes have nothing to do with true Christianity

He was trying to get you to understand that they are not of the faith and are lost.

They teach a lot of things not taught in God's Word so they are not of the Doctrine of Christ as the New Testament teaches.

Yeah, we was south bound going in the opposite direction of where he thought he was going.

The catholics popes, all of them, are agents of anti-christ

This does not mean they are the anti-christ.

Once the actual anti-christ comes on the scene, the catholics pope will be telling the world he is sent by God which makes the catholics pope to be the false prophet

And some on this forum will claim you are a troll for pointing that out.

Their definition of troll is anyone that disagrees with them
Another load of bunk....

Those that do not honor the Lord also do not honor what He says in His Word.

The catholics teach their adherents to put catholic doctrine before and above God's Word.

God forbids necromancy and idolatry as sinful behavior and those that do these things shall not enter in to His Kingdom according to what God's Word teaches.

Now, those teaching the broad way unto salvation like the catholic social club does believe it's all good and they all forms of religious thought lead to salvation.

They will be rewarded according to their works spending eternity with the devil.
Obviously, you have no understanding of the Catholic church.

What’s wrong is that the Catholic Church teaches many things that directly contradict the Bible. It’s not about how charitable or active they are around the world, it's about truth. The Bible warns about false doctrine, no matter how religious or helpful someone appears (2 Corinthians 11:13–15). Evangelizing is only good if it’s the true gospel being preached. A false gospel leads people away from salvation, not toward it (Galatians 1:6–9).

Here are just a few key teachings of the Catholic Church that are not found in Scripture:

Praying to Mary and the saints – The Bible clearly teaches that we are to pray to God alone, through Jesus Christ, our only Mediator (1 Timothy 2:5). No verse ever instructs us to ask the dead to intercede for us.

The Pope as the Vicar of Christ – Nowhere in the Bible is any man given that title or authority. Christ alone is the head of the Church (Colossians 1:18), and Peter never claimed supremacy over the other apostles.

Purgatory – The idea that souls go to a place of purification before heaven is not in the Bible. Scripture teaches that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord for those who are saved (2 Corinthians 5:8), and that judgment follows death (Hebrews 9:27).

The Eucharist as a literal re-sacrifice of Christ – Hebrews 10:10–14 says Christ was offered once for all, and His sacrifice is not repeated. The Mass contradicts that by claiming it is a continual offering.

Salvation through faith plus works – The Bible is clear that salvation is by grace through faith, not of works (Ephesians 2:8–9). Good works follow salvation, but they do not contribute to it.

Both calling a priest “father” and confessing sins to a priest are practices that directly contradict what the Bible teaches. Jesus made it clear in Matthew 23:9 when He said, “And call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven.” He wasn’t talking about biological fathers, but about spiritual titles. He was warning against exalting religious leaders and giving them authority that belongs only to God. When people call priests “father” in a spiritual sense, they are violating a direct command from Christ.

Confessing sins to a priest is also unbiblical
. The Catholic Church teaches that forgiveness must come through a priest, but the Bible says otherwise. First John 1:9 tells us, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” It doesn’t say to confess to a man, it says to confess to God. Forgiveness comes from Him alone. First Timothy 2:5 makes it even clearer: “For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” No man has the authority to stand between you and God. When Jesus forgave sins, He was proving that He is God. For any man today to claim that same power is a dangerous deception.

These practices are not harmless traditions, they lead people to trust in men rather than in God. The Bible never gives priests the role of mediator or spiritual father. Only God is our Father, and only Christ is our Mediator. Anything that adds to or replaces the truth of the gospel is false, no matter how religious it may appear.
Once again, *yawn*
Maybe you should lay off the anti-Catholic sites and actually RESEARCH their own beliefs. Ever pick up a Catechism? Go to a Mass? Go to a site like "Catholic Answers" and ask 'WHY do Catholics 'pray to' Mary..."?

My guess is that you are so attached to your own beliefs that you refuse to look at others alleged beliefs with an open mind...such as, you COULD be wrong.

Maybe don't depend on MOVIES as truth....?

Jesus said out of a good man's heart proceeds either good or evil and this guy taught things that are contrary to what the Lord says in His Word so clearly the man was an agent of darkness who led people away from walking with the Lord as he sought to lead people to his false religious social club
Jesus also said not to judge WRONGLY.
That's what satan told Adam and Eve in the garden... "No need to listen to God, He doesn't know anything"
Catholic Church does nothing of the sort.
She's going to hell too if she doesn't not repent of her sins, get born again, and start walking with the Lord Jesus
Again, YOU don't know what's in her heart, nor do you know what's in Jesus' heart. Stop JUDGING!
That's what the devil is trying to get every one to agree with
Including YOU.
