Actually, it doesn't support your statement that there was no bible until the 1600s. The literate can always share with those that can't read. I was trying to be gracious but you seem deadset on justifying your errant statement rather than a simple admission that you were wrong. This is an issue much deeper than the discussion.

See that?
That is a person, who is mature "in the Lord" and has a very sensitive and powerful ability to discern false theology, and those who produce it on Forums, and in commentaries, and from Pulpits.
The believer is to develop this, and if you never do, you will end up in a cult, probably Calvinism.....If the Mormons or JWS or the "cult of Mary" doesn't get you first.
The restoration involves the removal/destruction of everyone and everything that is temporal and not in and of Christ. It's appointed unto man but once to die and then the judgment. The parable of the ten virgins indicates the door to salvation will be shut when Christ returns. Every knee bowing doesn't mean every soul saved. Every eye will see Him when He comes, but it will be too late to receive Christ then. "Blessed are you who have not seen and yet believe." It must be by faith, not by sight, as it were....otherwise Jesus could have just shown Himself to every soul alive down through history and nobody would have perished. Even the devil has seen Him and thus believes, but not in the way that is needed, which is by His Spirit to a willing and penitent heart. It's not enough to just "know" with the carnal mind, we must also "receive" Him (His Spirit) into ourselves.
This is the restoration:
Mat 13:40-43
As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Another scripture says that everything that can be shaken will be shaken until only what cannot be shaken will remain. And this is why elsewhere it says we are receiving an unshakeable kingdom. Jesus said His kingdom is not of this world......and elsewhere it indicates that this temporal world including all fallen souls within it are appointed to wrath. And in fact the bible says His wrath abides on it already.
Here in this scripture below we see those who are being judged will see and know who He is, bowing the knee in a manner of speaking, and running from Him, while not escaping His judgment and wrath. They are seeking temporal earthly protection in the clefts of rocks, whereas the only real protection from the consuming fire of God is in the cleft of the Rock who is Christ.
Rev 6:12-17
And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

Now you claim to be some mature christian who can judge all things? Is there no end to your self exaltation? This is what Jesus said to the Pharisees that thought they were righteous and condemned others
Mt 9:12-13 They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

I don't which to take this thread off topic, but as so many of the historic Confessions of Faith, and so many Christians today believe the doctrines of grace, sometimes called "Calvinism," I think it is going too far to suggest that those doctrines have any resemblance to the teachings of cults like Jehovah's Witnesses, or what you refer to as the "cult of Mary."

I claim that......absolutely., as to deny it, would not be honest.
And to not understand it, would be your issue.....here.
Now, the caveat, is........as i explained to you.......that in each born again beleiver, and that is not describing a person who is watar baptized and religious, who is not actually a chrisitan........but for the truly born again....the Spirit of God, is the "Spirit of wisdom" and "Christ in you, the hope of Glory".. "is that Spirit"........so, its from this eternal resources that the CHRISTian is able to "discern and judge all things"... @shepherdsword

The Doctrine of "Grace" that is.. "the imputed righteousness of Christ" based on Faith in Christ........is Paul's.
The Twisting of the "doctrine" into a Psychopathic false God who chooses some for Hell, and wont let them trust in Christ, is John Calvinism.
Try not to get them confused, as one is of God, and one is of the Devil.
Ive not suggested that the "doctrine of Grace" that you have defined, not me....has anything to do with man made Mary Worshipng Catholics, or man made cults like JW's or Mormons.
But the scriptures/word of God have been read in the hearing of listeners (as God commanded) ever since any of it was written down, which began a very long time before Christ. These were what Paul referred to as scriptures.....which he said could make one wise unto salvation.
They didn't have books in those days, of course, just scrolls that had to be unwound to be read. I'm not sure but it doesn't seem as though it would have been practical for reading purposes to write all those scrips down in one giant scroll and have them all gathered together like we have all the books of scripture gathered into one book.

No, satan and demons are not employed by the Lord.
If something is really that bad and needs to be destroyed the Lord handles that on His Own.
Correction - the Lord Jesus influenced mankind as to what He wanted in His canon.
Those that believe otherwise believe Jesus lacks the power and authority to influence mankind according to His Will.
Your spirit guides are feeding you false information.
NONE of the examples you give prove that God and satan are buddies and God employs satan to do anything.
satan is God's adversary and is corrupt so he is always doing all that he can on his own to oppose the Lord and His people.
Those that believe God employs the devil also believe they should lay down under satan's influence and let the devil walk all over them because if they don't lay down then they must admit they are in rebellion against God because they believe God sent the devil to mess with them.
You can't have it both ways. If you really believe God sends the devil to mess with His people then you must lay down and let satan and his demons walk all over you otherwise you are being disobedient to the Lord.
Well then lay down and let evil destroy your life then.
You believe God send evil to test you so lay down and do nothing and be destroyed.
James 1:13 - Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
This tells us how man enters in to temptation and it's not God doing it.
Not the same - Part of Jesus' mission was to stand where Adam had failed.
Jesus had to reverse what Adam caused, so even though satan did his best to tempt Jesus, the Lord refused to engage as per James 1:13-15 so Jesus decided to not accept the temptation not allowing it to enter in just like we should be doing
It's always amazing to me when some who say they are Christians argue in favor of not being able to resist sin claiming they cannot stop sinning and it's normal to sin because they are "sinners"
Sinners won't be spending eternity with the Lord. Too bad for them.
That's the first clue they are being led by devils.

Which was in error as the apocrypha teaches things that aren't in agreement with God's Word.
So, thru the influence of the Lord the apocrypha was dropped because it's not part of God's canon.
Those that claim otherwise are making the false claim that Jesus has no authority or power over what goes in to His canon.
No, Jesus taught His disciples how to pray from what He heard from the Father.

And Who's will does the Spirit of the Father carry out? It's pretty simple. The Father does as He desires as He has the freedom to choose to do good or evil. Of course He doesn't have to justify what He chooses to do. There is no one of higher or greater authority than Him who can judge Him.
God makes plans and carries them out, be they for good or evil.
That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the Lord, and there is none else.
I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.
God's word, through His prophet Isaiah declares this truth.
God planned to give Canaan to Abraham's descendants. God's plan was to have the Canaanites all killed. He instructed Joshua to subdue Jericho. God had a plan and carried it out. It was to do evil, to kill every man and woman and to kill all the children. Actually God killed His share when He broke down the walls of Jericho crushing those inside.
Now these enacted plans are evil wouldn't you say.
God kept His promise to Abraham do good to him, to bless him with this land.

You're right; we need to stop interpreting the Bible.I was just quoting what God Himself said. No need to shoot the messenger.

Some say that it may be unwise to dismiss what God says.
What are you supposed to do with it? Jesus most often told stories. But there was another story behind them. One had to interprete what He was trying to say. Dreams require interpreting. Tongues require, you guessed it, interpretation.
It's not that many things don't require interpreting, maybe it's who is doing the interpreting.
I know of only one sure bet, one Who will interprete correctly every time. Yes, the Spirit God sent to carry out this very task.
Does Jesus have no authority or power over what goes into the Koran or did He?
So Jesus made a mistake by only having 11 books in the first biblical canon? And again with the 80 book bible. Then again with the 73 book bible, again with the 66 book bible and again and again?
