If you want to use the bible as your means of confirmation then may I suggest the following.

Jesus was led into the wilderness by the Spirit He just received to be tempted by Satan.

I'm not too concerned about anyone's ability and freedom to choose or not to choose.

I find comfort in knowing that the Creator of all things has freedom to choose to create whatever He wants and for whatever purpose He chooses.

The Devil is very cunning, and he is the "Father of the Lie"... so, what he does, is.. he mixes in some truth with some untruth, he combines truth with error and creates a hybrid that is false but seems true...... and then this makes it difficult for Christians who are not a real student of Paul's NT Theology, to see and hear what is wrong with it.

The Devil's theology "sounds right" but isn't.......and the way to know it isn't is to spend quality time learning Paul's theology so that THIS becomes your inner understanding of "doctrine" and NT Theology in general, and specifically.

The Holy Spirit lead the Man Jesus Christ into the Wilderness to be Tempted. Since God can't be Tempted, Christ's Humanity was the target. Jesus taught his Disciples to Pray God wouldn't lead them into Temptation too...

Scripture is Sure Revelation from the Holy Spirit, and it trumps a different understanding said to be of the Spirit. Scripture's Doctrine is guaranteed to be Orthodox...

The 2nd is the one we have now......and what they did, was......they "spell checked" it, and changed some of the spelling of words, but nevrer did they touch a verse, in a way that changed it theologically or doctrinally.

Jesus taught His disciples how to pray, from what He experienced. Ask God not to lead you into temptation. Why? Because Jesus knew how challenging it was when His Father had His Spirit lead Him to tempted by Satan.

You are rewriting the verses.

Listen, if you read Luke 4, it says that the spirit led Jesus into the Wilderness.
The idea was to fast and pray.

It does not say, so that the devil could temp Him.

What happened was........the Devil knew He was there, and came and tempted him........as that is what He does.

Are you familar with "the Passion" of Jesus........when He was about to be arrested and was in the garden of Gethsemane?

Jesus said that the devil was coming, but would find nothing "in Him"...

That was not God sending the Devil to Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemene, that was just the Devil doing what He does.

In our case, He does not come........he sends the demonic powers. He sends deceived Christians to you, on Forums, or from Pulpits....for example, who are "mind owned' by one of the Devil's Theologies, and they try to deceive you with it.
