I got to know and discern the Jews very well, religious and non-religious....worked among and for Jewish folks in close quarters for a number of years, including holocaust survivors. They are a unique people, still have gifts/callings, and the Lord is still reaching His hand out to them in His love and mercy. I know what it feels like to long for their salvation as Paul did, could almost wish oneself to be lost that they might be saved. That is the Father's love and longing for His prodigal sons to return home.

Yes, the lost are very lost, fallen human nature is what it is, for both Jew and Gentile. Like everyone there is mixture of good and evil. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. People dabble in all kinds of ways and means, thinking they can find what they are looking for on their own without Christ....seeking to establish their own righteousness. The way that seemeth right to man......deceptive false unity and inclusiveness, proceeding from one's own righteousness...trying to build a tower to reach heaven that way....it almost seems to characterize lostness (and likewise apostasy) and has been around for a very long time.

No one can stop it, except Jesus. He stops it one soul at a time who comes to His light, and He will stop it for good in the end. The gospel and truth has always been for whosoever will...whoever is foreknown by God, and scripture says only a remnant will be saved.

You could literally quote Jesus, Paul, Hebrews, Galatians, and Romans word-for-word, and the second it threatens their Scofield-fueled fantasy world? BOOM — they slam the “REPLACEMENT THEOLOGY!!!” alarm like it’s the Rapture fire drill they’ve been practicing since 1972.

It’s not an argument. It’s a panic reflex.
What it really means is:

And then from the pulpit they get hit with:

“Actually, Jesus can’t return until we help start World War III, rebuild a third temple, and make sure billions of people die in a nuclear firestorm — and then, finally, Jesus might land on the Mount of Olives in a golden F-16 and pass out altar calls to whoever survived, even though Revelation says He’s already reigning; and Hebrews says the covenant is already fulfilled' but shhhh, just go with it.”

So how can you blame them? What’s being preached from far too many pulpits doesn’t resemble the New Testament in any way, shape, or form.

To these kids — the ones who actually read their Bibles — the whole thing?

It sounds like a doomsday cult that hijacked Christianity and wrapped it in prophecy charts. (Which is exactly what it is.)

This wasn’t handed down by the apostles.
It wasn’t taught by Christ.
It was cooked up 1,800 years after the resurrection — by John Nelson Darby, a separatist mystic whose doctrines read like he wrote a fanfiction prequel to Revelation while ignoring Paul, deleting Hebrews, and pretending Christ hadn’t already fulfilled the covenants.

Not one word of it is rooted in the Gospel.
It’s not truth. It’s a plague on the Gospel — and it’s time the Church cast it out like leprosy.

Replacement theology is a false accusation....if you are pointing to the Christ of the NEW covenant, as you are, they will sometimes pull out the replacement theology card and we also sometimes get accused by Hebrew roots folks of "stealing" the gospel away from the Jews.

In actual fact there is a biblical principle of "first the natural then the spiritual". Israel was the church in the wilderness, the church in natural allegory. And the blessings of the old covenant were natural material blessings too. It was only a type/shadow/allegory in the natural realm of the new covenant. Scritpure says those things happened unto them and were written down for ensamples (allegories) to the church, which is a spiritual body in a new and better spiritual covenant, with eternal/spiritual blessings. I think there is nothing wrong in considering the old covenant to have been replaced by the new covenant, since the old covenant was only meant to serve a purpose of addressing sin UNTIL the Messiah and His new covenant was revealed, and because if one is under the old covenant they are no longer under the old:

Gal 3:19-25

What purpose then does the law serve? It was added because of transgressions, till (UNTIL) the Seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was appointed through angels by the hand of a mediator.

Now a mediator does not mediate for one only, but God is one.

Is the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if there had been a law given which could have given life, truly righteousness would have been by the law.

But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed.

Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.
