ALMOST EVERY THREAD ON THE FORUM has people claiming things to be biblical fact, based merely on their own speculation and conjecture. If you only "think" or "believe" something--you should STOP presenting information as if you actually "know" what is true.

DO YOU NOT KNOW THAT YOU WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR MISREPRESENTING THE TRUTH OF GOD?

Instead of making claims without full knowledge and authority from God--preface your comments with something like "I don't know, but it seems to me...,etc." Or...simply ask a question. In which case, one should not answer without first stating they don't actually "know", if it is mere opinion and not with knowledge and authority from God.

It's understandable that since Pentecost, when God began to pour out His spirit upon all flesh--only some of whom were/are given knowledge--that it would produce a free for all of would-be, but unauthorized authority, based merely on speculation. BUT EACH WILL GIVE AN ACCOUNT BEFORE GOD.

Please--if not for your own sake--try not commenting or posting out of your own understanding, without first stating that that is all it is. Or, as it is written: "be silent."

I am.

So, do you see it as a problem, or do you think everyone should assess what they merely think God means and claim their understanding to be fact, as if thus says the Lord?

No not really. I just consider your wisdom to be WPB worthy.

Well said....the Lord has already shown me this.....so, your post already enforces , what I believe I have already received...

There is a thread going on at the moment about “ limited atonement “ my gut is telling me..to stay well out of it, as in honesty I don’t fully understand it.

I will take your advice Scott...which I think I do a lot of the time...saying....all imo , thoughts, nothing biblical.

Thanks again for the reminder Lord/ Scott as that is who I believe led you to post your topic.

Do you believe God placed it on your heart to post?

Not really something that can be reliability self regulated for the benefit of everyone else. There are some who rely on claims that everything they teach is from the Holy Spirit. This is an appeal to authority and is absolutely worthless.

The Holy Spirit is also on the receiving end of a message, and if a message does not resonate it gets ignored.

"Church Doctrine" came from Paul.. so, if a person on a "christian forums" says....>>"what's that"..........then if you have 92% of the people on a "christian forum" who have no idea what Paul teaches, and they are all writing theology Threads, and posting arguments .........then welcome to a "christian forum".

This only thing worse, is a 100% Calvinism forum, as those are just absolutely from Hell.

I'll take a Mary Worshipiung Catholic Forum, any day or night, vs, dealing with brain owned Hyper Calvinists.....TULIP Heads.

At least a Catholic, believes and can understand that God gave Jesus to the "world".. .John 3:16, and they know better then to blame God for "EVIL". or to teach that "God causes people to have a sin nature" like a twisted member of Calvin's army taught here today, on the forum.

Calvinism, "TULIP" is the worst terminal cancer on the body of Christ......ever created by Satan........Its much worse then Mary Worship, as Calvinism, attacks The Cross, and the Grace of God.

Thanks!

What I do know, is that there is opinion and conjecture and belief which is not "thus says the Lord." Which I know, because I am one under authority, and am as much as fearful of going on about my own will and understanding. When one has been in the presence of the Lord and given a specific task, it is easy to respect that line between what is of self and what is of God.. I find it like telling the truth being much easier than lying--it is indeed a form of freedom.

I suppose if we all did that, we could all be quite civil and have some really enjoyable "discussions." Sounds nice actually.

Did you think this thread was intended as a place to mix rant and opinion with a portion of truth?

On the contrary, it was not, but was intended that they not be mixed, but rightly divided.

I think a Thread like this, is a good idea., @ScottA .

However, "christian" forums, are invaded by heretics.........and that word simply means that their theology was created by one, and they are "under a spell"......or as Paul defines it....>""Who has Bewitched you"...""that you should not obey the Truth"
It does not mean they are not intelligent, or that they are a bad person.........but the thing about NT Theology is that its not a gussing game, and that is what "christian forums" seem to want its members to provide the forum, for entertainment.

And what does that do?
it causes "Strife, and every evil work", and that is not of God.

Thanks for explaining--we're on the same page. :grinning:

There is however, even a difference of opinion of what a "heretic" is. Many consider a heretic anyone who does not believe what they do. Which, during these times of foretold false teachings, lies, strong delusion, and great apostacy...is really quite bizarre. What all of us should alternatively be doing right now, is going before the Lord and asking, "Is it me?" (John 13:22-- "Then the disciples looked at one another, perplexed about whom He spoke").

Yes.

I use this term "heretic" all over the web, on all available "christian forums".... and many think i created the concept/word.

Actually Paul created this knowledge, regarding people who create "doctrines of devils'.., and those who have fallen "under the spell".

Hebrews 13:9 (KJV).

Here is Paul's verse, and He teaches that if a heretic is dealt with 2x, and they wont turn from their Calvinism, or Mormonism, or JW, or other "heresies Theology", then you take them to the parking lot, and you put them in their car, and you go back in the Church, and you lock the door and they never come back.

Titus 3:10 KJV, the scripture states, "A person that is a HERETIC after the first and second admonition REJECT; Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.

A.) They are not recoverable.........they are so twisted inside........that Jesus defines them as a "dark light".... Luke 11:35

See, what "christians" dont understand.. is that a deep seeded/deep seated heresy.......such as Calvinism.......is not recoverable........so, you have to get them OUT of your Church.
And then this sends them running to the forums, where the MODS will allow them to try to ruin the faith of a Christian... 24/7

When someone says anything, we understand it is their opinion without them saying so. The only way it isn't is just to post scripture with no additional comments.

Instead of making claims without full knowledge and authority from God--preface your comments with something like "I don't know, but it seems to me...

Oh, good grief.

The holy grail of epistemology is the promise that we can "know" something independent of our perceptual apparatus. EVERYTHING is just somebody's opinion. Even supporting "scripture" is just somebody's interpretation of what the text says with the unquestioned base assumption that it is true. Always assume whatever you read here is just somebody's opinion; stating so explicitly is redundant and wastes space.

In order for that to be true, that would mean there are no more prophets, no more words of knowledge given, and that Christ is not the same yesterday, today, and forever. Which means, you obviously did indeed speak your own opinion--but in error.

But, no, that is not biblical. Some are given as prophets, some with words of knowledge from God. And God himself has not gone dumb either, but continually speaks--as He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Meanwhile, the Bride was told to be silent in church. Yet many muddy the pure water of the Spirit.

You know there are those who do not speak the truth from God. Why then do you not also know there are those who do?
