Jesus is teaching a crowd about priorities.
It's foolish to strive after worldly wealth and a comfortable life if they don't pay any attention to their relationship with God (Luke 12:13–21).
They need to properly interpret how His ministry heralds the coming of God's kingdom (Luke 12:54–56).
And they need to reconcile with each other (Luke 12:57–59).
In these last two lessons, He emphasizes the urgency with which they should repent and seek salvation.
This is meant to apply both individually and as a nation.

I would say to people, that I was thinking of the days past that on old bus you would pull on a cord that ran down the center of the Bus so as to get off at any point ! remember them ? they went Ding Ding and the bus driver would stop ! and you would get off. ONLY a FOOL would ignore post No. 837 and keep defending liars like Donald Trump.
There is an important distinction between the biblical definition of a fool and the word Jesus used (raca) when He forbade calling a Christian brother a “fool.”
The term raca, spoken from a heart of contempt, implied utter worthlessness. Jesus was not saying that we cannot call the choices of another foolish.
But to call someone “raca” was saying that this person was beyond the reach of God and therefore condemned forever. To say, “You fool!” to a brother or sister in that day WAS the equivalent of saying, “Damn you!” to someone today.
We do not have the power or the right to condemn anyone to hell.
That position of judgment belongs only to God. A born-again Christian cannot be “damned” because he or she has been purchased by the blood of Christ .
We can and should, however, do all we can to turn the hearts of those exhibiting foolishness toward wisdom and possibly save their lives and their eternal souls.
Eternal destination is in danger for the ones like Trump, a liar, and the ones supporting such behaviour.

The prophets of the Old Testament believed that Yahweh, the God they served, was in absolute control of the weather - that good weather was a sign of his approval and that unfavourable weather was his way of reproving his often disobedient children and of keeping them in check......

No, I believe globalists in a far away land control the weather through taxes. The more money we give to government and the more regulations they put on us, the gooder the weather will be.
What makes you think I'm condemning Trump? I'm not at all. I'm neutral as far as the politics goes, because I know the only way to avoid God's judgment is if a preponderance of the church would return to God and HIS ways and repent........I just bow down to the will of God in placing Trump where he is, for God's purposes....all of which are not for "good" as I've pointed out before. Was Cyrus good for "Babylon"? Better come out of "Babylon" or be caught up in her judgment. Do you know that all prophecies are not good news, those concerning judgments and especially those concerning the end? The Lord sure has a controversy with HIS people in these days and that does not bode well for His blessing.

The problems in the land are mostly the church's fault for dropping the ball and chasing after false doctrines and false teachers with ear-tickling messages, and meanwhile the church is blaming the unbelievers in the land instead of examining herself. What I am doing is calling out those who supposedly follow Christ and should know better than to think of or make any President into a spiritual leader/pope of the American church. Not even David dared to be that.......the priesthood and kingship of Israel were separate. When they tried to crown Jesus king of Israel, even He fled that temptation! He was and is not a political King. Only Christ is spiritual Head of His church! Many who name the name of Christ are placing their hopes and trust (giving their hearts) in the wrong kind of kingship and that will only provoke the Lord to jealousy even more.

Jesus said to seek first HIS kingdom and HIS righteousness, then all these things would be added unto us. He didn't say to go seeking those things first or put them first. Many in Christendom are putting the cart before the horse. What does it profit a man (or nation) to gain the whole world but lose his own soul in the process?

I think you are condemning Trump because you ARE condemning Trump.
"Any President" includes Trump. And this is a false standard. No one is making Trump a religious leader of any kind. He is merely promoting Christianity for his agenda includes Make America Religious Again in establishing the Golden Age of America. You railed against this for it is inconceivable to you that things in the shining city on a hill could be good with the grace of God. You cannot imagine it. So, you condemn Trump who gives hope and optimism of better days ahead.

- Trump fought tooth and nail to get Roe v. Wade overturned.
- He established the Office of Faith.
- He has repeatedly called for an emphasis on the importance of faith in our society.
- He has publicly professed Jesus Christ as Lord on several occasions.
- He ordered that every Cabinet meeting begin with a prayer.
The Donald Trump of 25 years ago would not have done these things.
It always amazes me up when I come across a so-called “believer” who resents the crucifix because it depicts Christ crucified.
