I would say that even in the old testament God accepted animal sacrifice based on Christ shedding his blood........the people didnt know this they offered sacrifices by faith in his commandments..........Israel only knew they had to receive Christ...............[Jhn 1:11-12 KJV] 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name:

The Gentiles in Acts 10 could not be in the body of Christ because they believed Peter's preaching.......Peter didnt preach the mystery of the body of Christ as did Paul.....they believed remission of sins thru the name of Christ not the cross........therefore Gentiles were the grafted branches in the remnant of Israel

I recommend you tighten up the logic there; the context of John 8 does not mention being Messiah. Note the [he] is in brackets, indicating it was added by the translators. "Believe that I am"? Believe I am what? Or who? No matter. Let's address the second question:
