What does anti feminisim looks like? I like that. I guess it would look like a Proverbs 31 Wife? I married a nice girl, maybe she was a Proverbs 30 wife but she didnt quite make it to a Proverbs 31 wife. :(
I think so. Love Proverbs 31! Im also partial to Titus 2:3-5.

Titus 2:3-5

3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

It is my belief that this passage from Titus 2:1-10 should read more like this: -

Titus 2:1-10: - Qualities of a Sound Church

1 But as for you, speak the things which are proper for sound doctrine: 2 that the older men {in the Lord/Christ} be sober, reverent, temperate, sound in faith, in love, in patience; 3 the older women likewise {in the Lord/Christ}, that they be reverent in behaviour, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things— 4 that they admonish the young women {in the Lord/Christ} to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed.
6 Likewise, exhort the young men {in the Lord/Christ} to be sober-minded, 7 in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility, 8 sound speech that cannot be condemned, that one who is an opponent may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say of you.
9 Exhort bondservants {in the Lord/Christ} to be obedient to their own masters, to be well pleasing in all things, not answering back, 10 not pilfering/thieving, but showing all good fidelity/honesty, that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things.
The older people in Christ/the Lord should take the lead an teach the younger ones in Christ/the Lord the things about how all should live their lives, irrespective of gender. There are certain teachings that are men's business that men should understand just as there are certain teaching that are women's business that women should understand, but there is also an overlapping of teaching that is applicable to both genders.

Shalom

Just because you have spent a longer time with the Lord/Jesus does not mean that you have grown old if you have not grown in the Lord/Jesus and if this is the case you are still like a "child," like a young Christ who has spent a long time with the Lord/Christ and have not grown in the maturity of being with the Lord/Jesus where one can/should teach other.

You have agreed with my post but my observation from your posts is that you are not one whom I would listen too to gain God's wisdom from. Your understanding in many things is lacking.

Goodbye

This one is for the ladies.

I was just thinking about my wife and a discussion we were having.
For some reason this question popped into my head.

Why did God give you a husband?

I didn't ask that of my wife. Probably not something to ask your spouse. (sounds intimidating)
To be clear, I am not demanding with my wife. It is a true partnership. (45 years and going strong)

But as a husband, I am here for a reason.

Much more to say about this. But I will wait to respond.

He hasn’t given me a husband.

I gave myself x2 husbands...knowing I shouldn’t have married them, yet still went ahead with it, does that make sense?..now divorced x 2.

If I’m meant to receive a husband, God will literally bring him to me and I will know when he’s brought me the right one in my spirit....that has always been my belief ,the moment I became Born Again.

33 years, I’ve been waiting for God to bring me a husband...he knows my heart desire was to know true love of a man, a strong man of God...

I know the true Love Of God in my spirit, still I wait for that true love in physical form, a husband.

That is so tragic. Sorry to hear about it.

That's the way to do it.

On some level that is true.
But we have very different roles as we serve each other.
She is a "helper suitable". (I would be lost without her)

She cherishes my decisiveness and I cherish her ability to organize and fulfill the day-to-day chaos of life.

To be honest anyone that has a marriage of equality for 45 years is very blessed in my book xx

Amen!...If I’m meant to be married, God will do it...if not, then I’m more than happy just with the two of us, God and myself...

I couldn’t live without God, I would perish and die, ( not that, that will ever happen, God has promised never to leave me, my heart believes him)...

I can live without a husband and have been, for the past 33 years...only because I have the Lord......he’s my everything and must be NUMBER ONE!.....he’s a very protective God.....no man can get near me...I’ve been divorced in my 30s...I’ve had plenty of offers.....God said no.....you will know the man I have for you, when he arrives...that’s always stuck with me..watch this space, LOL.

I say it’s boring!...hehe..only joking..it would be wonderful if we met and fell in love with a strong man of God.

I’m a bit of a romantic, are you Rita?

Would you like to meet a new husband?....reading some of your posts, I think that you deeply loved your husband...I didn’t...I loved mine like a brother, I was never deeply in love with them.....to young at the time to even understand what being in love was.

I must admit to not even having a desire to meet anyone else. I forgave my husband and we were friends, but I can’t say that I was deeply in love with him by the time the marriage ended- he did too much damage to my trust. I think I did love him at first, but like you was really too young to really know.

I’m happy that you are so happily married.
Sometimes I joke that it was the best two weeks of my life. (terrible joke)
It hasn't been easy, but we married for life.

I remember being in a men's support group where I was told that most men in my situation would leave their wives.
I was absolutely furious at the assertion. And I let them know.

I know exactly what you mean, I too ,when I give myself it’s for life, sadly they had other ideas, one left me for a younger model, LOL, I can’t discuss what the other one did.

When I became Born Again, I then gave my body/ life/ spirit over to God....I have never been tempted once to cheat on God with other men...he has my heart....and always will have...we’ve been together for 33 years , he meets my every need....I would love to know what physical love from a husband would be like though.....especially a strong man of God...I could never go out with a non believer...I’ve got absolutely nothing in common with them.

I’m such a romantic, LOL....

All too often there are victims to divorce.
Over the years I have been a support to men in that category.
What they needed most was someone to just be a friend.
I never spoke about divorce unless they brought it up.

I wonder, because I’ve been divorced by 2, by no fault of my own, would that go against me?

Even though, God, right from the beginning told me that he will bring me a husband, I have to wait on him...

A husband is a covering. That's what my husband does for me.

Specifically, he takes on the financial pressure and faces issues outside the home while I stay preserved and soft as a homemaker.

I used to work and do a lot of things that competed with my husband. Back then, I wanted my husband to be the leader of our relationship but I hardly let him.

Im glad I became more submissive now. I feel my own moral and physical weakness. And my husband is a better person than me ---something Im proud of.

A husband cherishes his wife as his own body and nourishes it. A husband also washes his wife with the Word (Ephesians 5).

I know my husband gives me purpose. My purpose is to assist him and make his life better (Genesis 2:18). Just like his purpose is to protect and provide for me and the kids.

God hates divorce, but he is loving and merciful to victims of divorce. IMHO
Divorce comes with its own natural consequences. What more is needed?
