What problems have you got if I may ask?
I have problems with my teeth, I have periodontal disease, don’t be embarrassed...I’m going to the hygienist tomorrow, she deals with the plaque and tartar build up, keeping our teeth and gums healthy, is imperative to our health also.
Do you know that I have to visit my hygienist every 3 months, it costs me £100 for a 30minute appointment..I also have to have my lower jaw injected and numbed, as that is where my gums are extremely sensitive....that is the part that I don’t like as she injects my lower gums about 3 times.

I can’t wait to get mine cleaned and descaled tomorrow...my cavities are deep I’m afraid...I’ve done well to hold onto my teeth...I’ve had periodontal disease since my 30s....

You haven’t brushed your teeth are you saying in 30 years?
I must admit, my periodontal disease was my own fault , because I too would not go to a dentist for many years, I had a terrible experience with my school dentist...something that has stayed with me.
My hygienist is brilliant, it doesn’t hurt, even the injections only sting....I hope everything goes well for you at the dentist.

Take care. If there is swelling in the gums or pus that means it has become infected. The infection can spread to your jaw, so it needs to be treated immediately. If that happens and you can't see a dentist be sure to go to the hospital.

Holy, please do make an appointment with the dentist. They can advise you and help you.
It's not good to get bacteria affecting your gums as that bacteria can travel even to the heart. Or it might travel to your brain... please see the dentist.
I found a new dentist and his hygienist didn't scale my teeth in the regular way. She used a high pressure water device. It went very quickly and painfree. After the water pressure cleaning, she only had to remove a few little pieces of tartar...not much.
She says that water device gets the big pieces of tartar off really well. I guess it's the latest equipment as my old hygienists used to all manually scale.
I brush and floss after each meal and snacks.

Yes @Debp , technology has come along way, ..she has all the latest equipment, because I have deep pockets where my gums are receding, it’s a lot more sensitive in those areas, ...anyway, I pray that Holy goes to the dentist soon.....it’s so important that she does..I hope that she takes everyone’s advice...God also wants the best for her.

HA - This reminds me of something that happened to me after I came to the Lord.
Now coming to the Lord, our Lord Jesus Christ, means going and talking to Him!! And if you talk to Him don't you listen to what He has to say to you???? Do we even know that it is written through Isaiah where the Lord tells us to come REASON WITH HIM??
Is 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the LORD,
“Though your sins are as scarlet,
They will be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They will be like wool.
So shortly after I came to know the Lord I talked to Him about my teeth and fixing them. You see, as a child I sucked my thumb a lot, and that cause me to have 'buck teeth'. I could partially get the tip of my tongue through my front teeth. So since I was obviously talking with Him after I came to know Him, I reasoned with Him about my front teeth. I asked Him to fix my front teeth. And you know what He responded?
He said, "Go see a dentist".
I was kind of surprised that I heard Him so quickly and clearly. Yet I was talking to God, and not just anyone, and dentist cost money and I didn't have a bunch of extra money hanging around. So I reasoned back with Him saying, "You are God and I don't have a lot of money. So you can fix them!"
And you know what? He did fix them! But I have to tell you how, because it was not how I thought.
About a month after that He asked me to go to a trail that had huge boulders on it. Indeed, the trail pretty much lead you right over the top of the boulders. While on top of a boulder about the size of a house I stepped on a little sand, slipped and landed on the top of the boulder, right on my face, so hard that I nearly passed out. My face was all scuffed up and my lip was bleeding. But what had happened had cause me teeth to get knocked backwards in my mouth. I took a few months before it all got healed, but I can't put the tip of my tongue through my front teeth anymore. It not even close. God had answered my prayer, but at a physical cost since I wasn't will to put out any money and I did believe in Him!!
Yet that is not exactly the end of the story. I few months later I was getting into the shower when the Lord started talking to me. He tends to like the times alone. And He brought to mind all the above that happened, then told me, "Karl, It is better to fall on the rock instead of having the rock fall on you - but isn't it better to climb on the rock to get higher?"
Now it does indeed make sense to go to the dentist. But it also makes sense, and great wisdom, to actually listen to the Lord!!! Even the non-believer will go to a dentist, but only a believer actually reasons with the Lord. I am telling you that He is the Teacher, and so you can fall on Him, as the Rock, and it is better to do that than to have Him fall on you. Still, it is better still to climb on Him to get higher than where you are at now!!
That is to say: He can fix your teeth, but if he tells you to 'go to the dentist', it might be good to just do that. Still, you can and should also reason with Him! Doing that gets you greater wisdom and understanding - and as He once told me, "Karl, understanding is understanding that I AM Understanding, understand?
Prov 7:4 Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,”
And call understanding your intimate friend;
