When I read the fourth commandment Hobie, I read that it was given to and for us to rest....you know, have a break from the everyday activity and busy-ness. Hang out with your friends and enjoy each other company; hang out with Jesus in your midst.

How is it that a day designated for rest has morphed into a day designated for worship?
Surely we can worship at anytime 24/7 when one understands what worship consists of. This too (worship) has morphed into regimented 'religious' activity which is a lonnnngggggg cry from what worship actually is.

You no doubt are aware that many 'Sabbath keepers' are so exhausted after following their busy schedule of 'worship' on the Sabbath, they need to have a day off so they can recuperate in order to be up to the coming week's work.

It is all about remembering her on every day, not just some special day in the year. That is how we are meant to commune with God. We are meant to commune with God every day, hour and minute as we live our lives for Him.

Resting every seven day means that we have time to meditate more deeply on the things relevant to God as we rest in Him.

Oh QT, which day of the present order for a week is actually the first day of the week. What if "Wednesday" was actually the first day of the seven-day period in scripture.

As it stands at the moment, God's Sabbath was for an age whereas our prescribed Sabbath has a duration of only one solar day.

Until that is decided we should not be facing into the breeze.

You are entitled to your opinion, but Hobie has weaponised the observance of the Sabbath against other people who have a viable relationship with God.

Well, it depends if I have the sermon for that day, or just the Sabbath School lesson, or have a Pot Luck round table discussion or there is a afternoon program such as on the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation which are always good for learning more of Gods truth. Otherwise my wife likes to keep it to the worship and praise at church, but sometimes she likes to visit with those who are not doing so well or at the hospital for tests or more serious issues. Simply communing with and showing love to God and your fellowman with the fullness of life that God has given you.
