I guess the Pastor doesn't like study bibles either. It has the opinions in it that isn't part of the Word of God. The Macarthur study bible is pretty popular. I guess he doesn't like study notes either.

I get it. His big point was the constitution is not part of the word of God and shouldn't be in the bible. But study bibles have history that is not part of the word of God. How about the maps. Those aren't part of the word of God. Plenty of study bible have extra biblical articles, not part of the word of God. That pastor singled out the constitution shouldn't be in the bible, but study bible can have a ton of stuff not part of the word of God. Sounds hypocritical to me. Put the Lee Greenwood bible next to the MacArthur study bible; why is one bad and the other good.
No you still did not get it.
But that's ok.
Lots of people don't get what Trump is doing.

Trump might end the world for all I care, but what I do know is it is God who puts rulers over us. I can see through the hypocrisy of that pastor easy.

Romans 13:1 - Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God.

I had a dream/vision of Trump thanking Jesus after the election, afterwards I spoke with Jesus too. So I know it is of God.

No identity thieves, the church is the Israel of God, children of the promised seed
Then why is God FIGHTING for Israel, the Land of the Bible? Only time we hear about the Israel identity thieves is when they TOOT their own horns. Israel of the Bible is in the news every day!

Gods words clearly show (Two Israel's) below

1.) Israel of the flesh (Jews)

2.) Israel of the promised seed (Church)

Scripture clearly teaches Israel of the flesh, they aren't the children of God, it's that simple

Romans 9:6-8KJV

6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: 7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. 8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

Yes the Kingdom of God has been taken from National Ethnic Israel, And Given To The Church, a "Holy Nation" as clearly seen below

Matthew 21:43KJV

3 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

1 Peter 2:9KJV

9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood,
an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

Tell that to to millions that suffered in the Nazi concentration camps.
I am sure this scripture needs to be put in context when people start using it defending evil rulers.
Ask Christians in North Korea and a few other countries where people suffer under evil dictatorships.

You want me to believe these kind of statements?
People who don't hear the Holy Spirit speak, don't believe anybody does. I've heard the Holy Spirit speak audibly to me over 40 years. I've seen Jesus many times. Of course, if you haven't, you believe nobody has. There are alot of Christian that do. I've taught a lot of bible studies, and I've found many have heard the Holy Spirit. You should pray for it. John 16:13

Tell the Apostle Paul that, it's in your bible, if you believe the what the bible says, that is.

You have no idea what I believe and what I have experienced in my life time.

One thing I DO believe is that evil governments are not put in place by God.

This was posted elsewhere during a bible study.
(not written by me.)

A good read:

Whether you buy into this scriptural interpretation will depend upon how you percieve the character of God. It is a narrow interpretation which doesn't take the whole of scripture into account, as I shall attempt to demonstrate: If you see God as an angry, vengeful God, then this interpretation makes sense.

However, if you see God as hating oppression, exploitation, or persecution, but instead loving justice, fairness, and the care of the vulnerable then the assertion that God puts all leaders in place makes no sense. Throughout the OT and the NT we see clearly how God hates injustice, how He is a refuge for the oppressed, etc. And in the NT Jesus always has compassionate for the sick, the vulnerable, the poor, the slaves, the downtrodden.

In the OT we can see this is in Psalm 9 v 7-12, just to take one example (among numerous similar verses). This does not mean that we should not pay our taxes - rather, we should always seek to obey the authorities so long as man's laws don't go against God's laws. God gave free will not only to individuals but to nations, and indeed to the entire human race.

Therefore it is not God who choses leaders, but man himself - and in the case of dictatorships, a small grooup of elites choose a leader who does not govern with fairness, but by using secret police, fear, and repression.

Clearly, such a person is not Godly and therefore has not been chosen by God.

God Is not mocked (see Galations 6 v 7-8).

Not sure if this is considered being disobedient to governing authorties or not but Paul also wrote

2 Cr 11:32-33 In Damascus the governor under Aretas the king kept the city of the Damascenes with a garrison, desirous to apprehend me: And through a window in a basket was I let down by the wall, and escaped his hands.

I wonder who let him down? He never says, reminds me a little of Joshuas spies and Rahab where it says

Josh 2:15 Then she let them down by a cord through the window: for her house was upon the town wall, and she dwelt upon the wall.

I found who let Paul down in a basket in Acts (thought I would just post it)

Acts 9:25 Then the disciples took him by night, and let him down by the wall in a basket.

The hostages released last week looked like out of a concentration camp. These looked better but they were tortured.

I was just reading about this man yesterday, his story came out during a podcast I am listening to on the sermon on the mount ( Bible project ) How his convictions were challenged by scripture to go back to Germany and oppose the Nazi‘s - think I might read his story.

Tubi (app or website) has a free movie about him. I might watch it. They have alot of movies of true stories about the Holocaust.

P.S. Another true story starring Gregory Peck is called The Scarlet and the Black. It's about a priest in the Vatican who worked against the Nazis. Also on Tubi.
