The Popes have been guilty of criticizing the building of walls and other nations for not receiving immigrants into others countries (not his) was the point.

Vatican City is the smallest state in the world and currently has a population of just over 800 inhabitants. The city-state covers 0.17 square miles. If it were perfectly square, the Vatican would be less than a half mile by a half mile. Vatican City citizenship is granted to people who live there for work or office, not based on birth. The Vatican's immigration policies are designed to protect its small population and the sanctity of its grounds. It's not as if immigrants are attempting to scale the Vatican City walls to escape persecution, and make a living, and the Pope is denying them access.

All countries (even the Vatican) have the right to protect their borders, and fine as they see fit. The Popes have been guilty of criticizing the building of walls and other nations for not receiving immigrants into others countries (not his) was the point.

And I believe in showing them mercy by forgiving the fines (since they do not have it to pay) and going the extra mile and paying for their return to their own homeland.

I dont know if your pope would handle it but thats the mercy I shared on but you did not comment on it.

What do you think? How is my idea of mercy in post #394 (which I bumped up twice) adding all of these things into them according to the Lords own words.
Pope Francis claimed Trump's construction of the border wall was immoral, because walls are immoral.

Frank lives in the Vatican. Behind a wall.:hmhehm

Like how their Pope tells nations that walls are no good and to takes in a bunch of immigrants while he sits on his throne surrounded by 20-30 foot walls

Is this true?

Vatican Wall Entry Fines

As of January 24, 2025, the Vatican City State has toughened sanctions for those who try to illegally enter its territory. Unauthorized entry into areas where free access is not allowed can result in monetary fines ranging from €10,000 to €25,000 (approximately $10,200 to $25,700) and prison sentences ranging from one to four years. Additionally, anyone convicted of illegal entry will be banned from entering Vatican territory for a period of up to 15 years. These penalties apply especially to those who enter by means of violence, threats, or deception, bypassing border controls or security systems.

Well, you dont say...

Where is Mr Mercy in this religion here?
Frank,in the name of setting a moral example himself after judging President Trump, has petitioned local contractors to deconstruct the wall that surrounds the popes abode.

Oh,wait.

As he should, he should also mind his own business about other countries walls and border policies.

What do you think?

Well, I think the idea of having citizenship paperwork in the first place is ridiculous, because the first humans didn't have it, nor did they need it. The first humans down to the last humans are here because God put them here and allowed them to remain here. It's not anyone's place to dictate who gets to live anywhere on the earth. Therefore, the ideal merciful thing to do is welcome those who arrive seeking shelter, money, food, clothing, and so on, whether it's at our doorstep, workplace, our country's borders, or wherever. It's merciful to try and heal those who are suffering and causing suffering.

Unfortunately, that's not the way of things across the world, so I'll say that forgiving fines is merciful, as is paying for their return to their homeland but I wouldn't pay for someone to return to their homeland if it wouldn't be good for them to return to. If it'd be more merciful to allow them to stay where it's better for them then I would pay money or do whatever to make that happen.

A person is not merciful when a person keeps defending and promoting false preachers.
That's not merciful at all, it's leading people away from God and straight to hell.

You couldn't even point to an example in Rev. Budde's sermon that makes her a "false teacher".

The Pope's position of authority is given by God. He is entrusted with the souls of God and souls are God's business. If walls or policies are affecting souls, the Pope and any Christian leader who attempts to see that they are treated as God wants is doing their duty. You as a Christian should want to see that happen.

The Bible forbids woman to have Pastor or be a leader in the church over men.

That makes her a false teacher.

A false teacher is someone who claims to teach Christianity but instead spreads teachings that contradict the Bible. There are no specific scriptures that explicitly say only men are to be ordained to the priesthood, but that doesn't mean it isn't being said in other ways, because it is, but not everyone is going to recognize that unless it's explicitly stated. So, it's not like she's going around saying "Jesus said women can be ordained to the priesthood" when He explicitly said "Only men can be ordained to the priesthood". Also, it's not like she personally took it upon herself to ordain herself. She was either already affiliated with or joined a denomination that allows women to be priests. So, your issue isn't and shouldn't only be with her. Additionally, someone being wrong in one area doesn't make them wrong in all areas.

Bishop Budde is an advocate and organizer in support of justice concerns, including racial equity, gun violence prevention, immigration reform, the full inclusion of LGBTQ+ persons, and the care of creation. Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde

What she ispreaching in the pulpit is not Christlike.

There are no specific scriptures that explicitly say only men are to be ordained
1 Timothy 3:1 It is a trustworthy saying: if any man aspires to the office of overseer, he desires a good work.

She is still in violation of what the Bible teaches about woman in the pulpit.

This makes her a false teacher.

Satan and his demons will do anything to undermine, confuse and taint the Lord's created order.

So, your issue isn't and shouldn't only be with her.
I do not have an issue with her on a personal level.

God's written word does and all that are like her and want to usurp the God given authority of the man in the church.

Let's remember why God does not want woman teaching and leading in the church.

They are easily deceived.

1 Timothy 2:12 But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet.
1 Timothy 2:13 For it was Adam who was first formed, and then Eve.
1 Timothy 2:14 And it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into trespass.

Can you point to something she said in her sermon that wasn't of God?
