@Wrangler @APAK @Johann READ CAREFULLY PLEASE!
Johann's issue, along with many others, arises from the belief in a misleading fallacy—that the nature of Christ could NOT exist independently, without the support of Deity. Adam had only one nature, which could stand in no other way than unsupported and alone. The Trinitarian fails to understand that God's Son had to stand alone in his nature to overcome the flesh of sin. The entire point of God having a Son with a Woman of the fallen race is to overcome a nature which opposes His (Divine).
If Christ can sin THEN God can sin AND For God to have Victory over sin and our nature He required a Son who could sin to allow Him to condemn Sin in the Flesh.
8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 8:2 For the law of the life-giving Spirit in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death. 8:3 For God achieved what the law could not do because it was weakened through the flesh. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and concerning sin, he (God) condemned sin in the flesh (Christ), Rom 8:1-3
Goal - Free us from the Law of Sin and Death
God's Law - Was weakend because the Law increased Sin and Revealed Flesh for what it was!
God sending His own Son - Christ being raised up in Sin's Flesh allowed God to condemn sin within it's source i.e. Flesh & Blood Nature
If ever there was an opportunity for Paul to introduce dualism it was here as this is the most clearest of all the passages on Christs nature and the condemnation of sin within that nature.
@ProDeo quoted a verse recently which I assume went over his head??? But consider the importance of this principle:
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Gal 2:20
Only those who are in Christ, that is, constitutionally by faith, can have the condemnation of the Law of Sin and Death removed—because where was it removed? In Christ!
Furthermore, if God removed the condemnation of sin in Christ, then anyone found in Christ can also partake in his resurrection!
For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. Roman 6:5
See How God works?
Now if like Johann, you believe Jesus could not sin, did not have our nature and didn't really die - then what use is it to be in that Christ?
You are still in your sins!
