Got my coffee ready for some relaxation and a good movie. Enjoying a warm setting in winter nights can be fun.

Good to hear you are safe. I read some news on the fires, but I wasn't sure the extent. Love the cat videos and Trump won the election.

As of today we now have six wildfires in the Los Angeles area. The President has declared a disaster emergency. I started a topic in Current Events which has some videos.

The problem was extremely strong winds so the aircrafts dropping water and retardant couldn't fly until yesterday. Some hydrants ran dry as too much water used.

Fire coverage is on all channels 24/7.

What movie did you watch? Once in a while I watch a movie on Tubi....they have thousands of free movies on their app or website.

Indoor gymns are nice! And a good socializing area sometimes. I would bring my usual energy drink for extra boost. Rice is good before workout and good protein after, you probably have some recommendations on things like that too?

Have you met any other Christians that way or spread the gospel of Christ?

My workout if you could call it that , lol , consists of swimming slow and using some water weights , foam barbells . Then in the therapy pool which is an about 10x8 foot hot pool I do some leg lifts and stretching exercise , the hot pool sure feels good with it about 30 outside now . I talk to the regulars . One lady swims laps and between laps see reads pages of bible scriptures she has clipped to her bag sitting beside the pool . Multitasking at it's best .

Snow is the order of the day . 27F and about 3 inches on the ground and more falling .

Sipping hot green tea and watching the snow fall outside , thinking about breakfast .

Looks like no trip to town today for the hot pool and exercise .

Hi. Can you post a pic of the snow? I love seeing the beauty of it.

Wildfires are still raging. Wind died yesterday so gave aircraft a chance to fight the fires dropping water. But winds coming back over the weekend.

I finally checked out tubi. I was watching some nature scene selected movies. As I enjoy things like that in the scenes. I'm mostly into sci-fi or fantasy. Reality based shows are not so real usually, entertainment these days

Stay safe. That sounds like a large condition. Watch for rapid movement of fires if the grow in your direction. The winds are supposed to be a factor they said till Wednesday
. Is that what you heard? I believe they give evacuation orders per cell phone these days in an emergency alert system.

I'm in the heart of Los Angeles so am ok but the air quality is bad from the fires.

Yes, the winds are supposed to get stronger Monday and Tuesday. But not as bad as when the fires started.

Some documentaries are good information and give people perhaps a jump start into an area of study. We used to have certain channel or companies, organizations that educate people like national geographic, discovery channel, and that Omaha old show about older life and animals and such.

I also had magazines like popular mechanics and popular science and such. They can also be educational while entertaining as well.

We had some nearby fires a year or two ago and the air quality wasn't so clear. My car was littered with ash settling from the atmosphere even though the fires were quite a distance away.

One of the benefits of living in the city is that that have pretty good fire suppression, aid and emergency services. I rarely lose power during wind storms and when it goes out it's usually back on in a short time.

Im in the pacific northwest as usual, always liked certain animals like the interesting raccoons :)

That obviously is one of the lady raccoon species, bread different than the male raccoon species, both are from the group raccoon. The telltale flower harvesting is a dead giveaway as they like those kinds of things, unless it is a male raccoon that is in trouble with his lady raccoon. A flower might then lower the pitch of the mighty female raccoon roar like sound of displeasure.

Hi talons and everyone.

Going to watch the news in a few minutes. Got to pick up my medication probably on Monday. The pharmacist said to wear a mask since there might be asbestos and lead in the air....she said the air quality people don't measure for those particles. I'll probably ask my neighbor to drive me over as I only have cloth masks.

It would be nice to get any kind of rain but so far nothing. We've had two tenths of an inch for this rain season for our area near downtown Los Angeles.

Will watch some TV tonight.

30F and 20 to 30 mph winds today , 11F forecast low over night . Extra blanket tonight .
Egg bites prepared by my bride today for breakfast and coffee .
Headed to swim with wife , hot pool will feel good if it really is hot today , it was not hot yesterday .

Stronger winds coming tomorrow so more fire danger. Plus the ash, smoke and debris will be blown over our entire region. So they are warning us to stay inside or wear a N-95 mask.

Sure hope I can get outside soon for some light.
