The Grand wow!!..

I have never been there Rita, I was joking, you would never get me in a place like that, like you, I too would feel out of place.,,I love the garden centre cafe.,where we have tea and scones ..plus one can feel relaxed in a place like that.xx
Yes, I like garden centres. I am off to ‘ The Ivy ‘ in Brighton on Christmas Eve for my grand daughter birthday breakfast - but I don’t dress up like some do, I have been there before and it’s kind of expensive and a bit posh, but you can blend in wearing ordinary clothes.

We must be sisters, LOL...I too can’t stand getting dressed up, each to their own though..I can’t stand wearing loads of jewellery or those gel nails either...as long as my hair is done and just a little make up, I’m happy..

Perhaps not a favorite, but very interesting, and the perfect thing for a rainy day.

It has a smoky flavor caused by the curing process.

Lapsang souchong or Zhengshan xiaozhong is a black tea consisting of Camellia sinensis leaves that may be smoke-dried over a pinewood fire. This smoking is accomplished either as a cold smoke of the raw leaves as they are processed or as a hot smoke of previously processed leaves. Wiki source.

This sounds like one I would really like. I love both smokey and herbal flavors.

They cure the tea in the smoke of burning pine needles. Not like any other tea.
It's an acquired taste. I wouldn't drink it every day, or even two days in a row. - LOL
It basically tastes like old shoe leather smells. (complete with foot odor) If you can imagine that.

Sounds like an aged pu'erh tea I bought last year. It was nice from time to time but not my favorite.

I like to make drinks when I know I'm going to go do something for a while. It's my way of treating myself without it being $7 at a time.

Last night, I made a strawberry matcha.

Very pretty (at first) but I made the mistake of using coconut milk. I thought it would be easier on my stomach. I'll never do it again.

I will stick to oat milk in the future. Plus, my son whipped his around and it turned the ugliest gray color. Lol

I like iced London Fog, too, from time to time. Other times, it's a little underwhelming.

All this talk about tea...
I had to make a big mug of green tea.
Drank it while my wife and I watched an episode of Call the Midwife. (BBC)

I use a Keurig coffee maker, but use the hot water only. I put a cup under the dispenser with my preferred tea bag in the cup, and it is like pouring hot water into the cup from a kettle. I drink black tea in the afternoon, green tea in the mornings.

I told someone they could leave a little early at the beginning of the week and said I would take their place today of they couldn't come in- because I knew they wouldn't be able to. I could see it.

Unfortunately, I went to bed at 10. Woke up for a few hours this morning, fell back asleep at 12 and slept until almost 3 PM.

So now I'm wondering if I am also getting sick. Today, I'm popping 10 drops of grapefruit seed extract in water and take oregano oil tonight so that it hopefully won't progress.

Then I'm chugging down this one through the night.

Bushells does it for me !

First thing in the morning Just heat water up in the Jug, poor and pop a tea bag in, throw on the old nose bag and then pull out the tea bag add just a touch of milk and stur bingo done ! no sugar.

Thing is to try and keep the black ants out of the electric jug of late !
Black ants, well they does not tast very good does they. brown ants are ok, if you spot 1 or 2 of them in the cuppa just spoon them out.

As for Coffee i do not drink such much but if i do, half of what you see in a bag that are at motels will do me, i hate strong coffee such is filth.

People get hooked on Coffee, it's a drug in fact ! They have to have such or else they are off their rocker !

Skippy the bush Kangeroo ? they had such hooked on Coffee ! that way it would come in the morning and do what they wanted it to do. one morning after a long weeked of filming skippy turned us shaking for a fix.

Our Asian suppliers knew I liked tea and would bring me canisters of raw Oolong tea leaves as a gift. The Sweet Lady found me a Tea Infuser at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. I'd heat up water in the microwave, and then let the infuser steep for just the right amount of time. That was the tricky part, getting the steep time just right. Usually I 'd get it too strong.

Of course, when my coworker saw a baggie of stuff like the picture below, he asked if I was going to roll it or drink it?

Haha! I have not tried loose leaf oolong, but I imagine it's better than the store stuff.

Almost always is. I made the sencha too strong once and gave Mr. Duck anxiety so now I weigh it out on a scale. Makes a huge difference!
