There are many people out there, regardless if they are willingly to admit it or not, that suffer with "hatred." I am one of those people. It's only because of the strength of the Lord Yeshua, that I get by, and he simmers down my flesh and leads me more in the spirit. I am not perfect by no means, and no one on earth is. I've also been told that I suffer from bipolar, and schizophrenia. I don't know if that is true.

Here is a photo, that a friend made for me a long time ago and I recreated the same image.

We should fill our soul (mind/will/emotions) in looking to God, and feeding our soul with those things.

Screenshot 2025-01-04 055114.png

We are to die to our flesh and live to the spirit. It's hard.

Paul wrote to the people of Colasse in his day, saying

colossians 3:5 So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. 6 Because of these sins, the anger of God is coming.[a] 7 You used to do these things when your life was still part of this world. 8 But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language. 9 Don’t lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds. 10 Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him. 11 In this new life, it doesn’t matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile,[b] circumcised or uncircumcised, barbaric, uncivilized,[c] slave, or free. Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us.

12 Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. 13 Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. 14 Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. 15 And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.

16 Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. 17 And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.

When it comes to teaching ones own children, that may be the job then, but not to go around trying to correct everyone else @DJT_47. You can tell a drunk to stop drinking but he will stop when he is ready. Ya know what I am saying?
I really don't care what you believe; belueve whst you like. And God uses his people to do his work.

1 Tim 3:16
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

it's up to God's people to do his work including correcting others in their understanding or misunderstanding of the scriptures, just like Apollos was corrected in Acts 18 by Aquila and Priscilla.

No one said, God doesn't use people for his work. @DJT_47. Keep faith and keep trusting in God.

Romans 8:28 And we know that God causes everything to work together[a] for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

What I am saying is that people who have doctrines which leads to hating others, is false doctrine. I believe God will make this known to those whom have the holy spirit, and use discernment.

Speaking of asking God for wisdom, James states to those whom he is writing to in this regard.
James 1:6 But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. 7 Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do.
Paul writes to those people in Ephesus,
Ephesians 4:14 Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth.

In the writing of the Writer of Hebrews, Chapter 12.

There is a speaking about everything that can be shaken. Faith can be shaken, hope can be shaken, everything can be shaken down to the ground and that which is immovable may remain.

That to me would suggest that faith and love, go hand and hand, and not hatred of other human beings. Because hating other people is false doctrine and its been made to me that anyone who hates "others", is no worse than a murderer.

1 John 4:20 If someone says, “I love God,” but hates a fellow believer, that person is a liar; for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see?

1 John 3:15 Anyone who hates another brother or sister is really a murderer at heart. And you know that murderers don’t have eternal life within them.

You could think you have everything so down that you are able to correct others. I don’t try to correct others at-least that is not my intention is to “feel” the need to correct others. The topics that I’ve created over time, may have some wrong things, in there, they may have some right things, in there. “Test all things and hold on to what is good.”
Now I want to make clear for you, brothers and sisters, the gospel that I preached to you, that you received and on which you stand, 15:2 and by which you are being saved, if you hold firmly to the message I preached to you—unless you believed in vain 1 Co 15:1–2.

There are many types of Love in the World and not all come out of this message.

I could argue that understanding Who first loved us and how He provided salvation through His Son is more important than love itself. I could also argue that "holding firmly" to the true message (Gospel) is more crucial than inconsistent love.

That's not quite what you said or how you phrased it. And true doctrine will also or could also cause hatred, since some of those hearing the true doctrine may hate the one propagating it. Happened to Jesus. He also warned of such hatred as coming from those of your own household.

I don’t believe that @DJT_47.

Sure people can hate others because of the truth but if we hate others, that’s false doctrine.

Hate is not doctrine. It can be the result of doctrine either true or false, but it is not necessarily the doctrine. If the doctrine is not made public, who is it harming? It's not until it's made known that or becomes potentially harmful or promoting hatred, overtly or covertly. Goodbye. This discussion is one that's going nowhere and not beneficial.

@DJT_47, in the end we must realize that is God working in and through us, it’s by the spirit of Christ, and the Holy Spirit which truth is shared. It never comes from us ourselves. That’s why it’s important for people to be discerning, by the spirit whether a doctrine is leading them to hate they should reassess what they are learning.

I give credit to God and the Lord Yeshua for anything I’ve ever taught. I just try my best to abide in Christ and allow him to move me by the spirit. Sometimes I get in my flesh I can’t say I don’t have any sin which can hinder the spirit itself.

I believe these are just factors that remain out there, that if doctrine is leading people to hate.

John speaks of people hating others, so it is a doctrine.

Jesus speaks of where things start in the heart,

Mark 7:20-23 New Living Translation (NLT)And then he added, “It is what comes from inside that defiles you. For from within, out of a person's heart, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, wickedness, deceit, lustful desires, envy, slander, pride, and foolishness.

You are free to leave the discussion. You told me you did not care what I had to say anyway, and that is fine. I love you still and hope the best for you.

Hello @face2face thank you for posting.

Doctrine is so important that if it is not based on truth you will not be saved.

What does "doctrine" include? It includes things like who God is, who Jesus is, what happens when someone dies, what awaits the world, why we suffer, whether we should be baptized, ... ... ...

Love is the most important Christian quality because the Bible says that all law is based on love for God and neighbor. However, doctrines are specific and define true religion. Anyone in the world can say that they do not harm anyone, even people from thousands of non-Christian religions and sects. That will not save them, because salvation depends on knowing the truth.

This is what those who are saved from the great tribulation that is coming upon the earth say:

Rev. 7:10
“Salvation we owe to our God, who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb.”

Those who do not know God and Jesus, his Son, are not there.

John 17:3
This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.

Any doctrine which leads people to hate other people should be avoided. That is all I am saying. Thank you for posting ElieG12.

It just simple is. There are doctrines out there which may end up making people hate others.

There are people who teach others out there somewhere in the world that they must hate others, etc…

It’s nothing new. Those are doctrines which are best avoided, for sure.

Can you mention one of those doctrines?

I have never heard that hatred is a doctrine related to the teachings of the Bible or Jesus Christ.

Found in 1 John, he talks about hatred. Jesus also speaks about how things which come the heart lead to many different things, such as “murderous thoughts / hatred.” Jesus also speaks of how people will be “hated” because of truthfulness in and through him.

But you can’t deny that their are people out there whom lead people and can bring them into hatred, of others. Looking upon others as less than.

It all stims from the flesh, and those things should be avoided.

Thank you for the question.

Light and darkness exist continually, and not everyone is really for the benefit of progressing towards the Lord, some are for the benefit of the progression of themselves and they can look down on others and treat them with indignant misalignment.

Even if I know there is hatred in the world, I still don't get your point. Can be more specific about one of those "doctrines"?

True Christians certainly only preach and practice love. Jehovah's Witnesses have been hated and mistreated in many ways by many people who call themselves "Christians," but we recognize that it is part of the fulfillment of prophecies.

Still, I cannot imagine that the religious leaders of these people are the ones who order them to mistreat us. I suppose that is something that these people should work on more if they really want to win the approval of Jesus, who clearly said that one should love even one's enemies.
