Well as the religious system is called "Mystery, Babylon the great, the mother of all harlots and abominations", and the city is called Babylon the Great why do you force the city to be a non city? History shows there has been two Babylons. A city and a religious system- each unique.

Just as God used ancient Babylon to punish his disobedient people, so he uses “Babylon the great” in a similar way.

Original Babylon under the kingship of Nebuchadnezzar, was used by God, through his prophet Daniel, to show us what was to transpire in “the time of the end”, where we find ourselves now, almost at the end of these times. (Daniel 12:4, 9-10)

What did their time in Babylon do FOR Israel, as opposed to what it did TO them? They were held there for 70 years, enough time for the disobedient ones to die, and a new generation to be born in this foreign place with a foreign religion and unscriptural practices…..would this new generation stick to the true religion given to their forefathers, or would they succumb to the religious practices of those around them?

We learn from the faithful course of Daniel and his three companions, Shaʹdrach, Meʹshach, and A·bedʹne·go, that these men, who were taken captive as youths, remained steadfast in their resolve NOT to be absorbed by the religion of Babylon, and to even face death in standing fast for their faith. Jehovah rescued them in spectacular fashion, proving to the King that the God of Israel was a mighty savior of his people. Through dreams God used the king to foretell the future, not in Daniel’s time, but in the present day.

Nebuchadnezzar’s dream image was a prediction of the march of world powers from Babylon, through the conquest of the Medes and the Persians…..Greece….Rome….Britain….and in the last days…..the Anglo-American dual world power and its allies.
It is in the days of those final kings, that God will act decisively, when he brings all corrupt human rulership in the hands of the devil, to ruin….crushing them out of existence.

Daniel 2:44….
”In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed. And this kingdom will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it alone will stand forever”.

We are staring down the barrel of the greatest tribulation this world has ever seen…..and only those who have removed themselves from “Babylon the great” will survive. Any mixing of church and state will be dissolved as God brings in the rule of his Kingdom under Christ, fulfilling the Lord’s Prayer…..”thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven”.

Most Christians will pray that prayer by rote, without thinking about what it actually means. They will not be prepared for its fulfillment because they will have been busy supporting the earthly kingdoms of man, spilling much blood in the process, in vain wars and the stroking of the egos of corrupt men.
We are not to be part of the world, (John 17:16) just as the Israelites were not to be a part of the Babylonian world in which they were held against their will. Babylon never let their prisoners go, they absorbed them.

So, who does God see when he looks down on us? Does he see those like Daniel or his three companions, standing their ground, whilst the rest are going headlong in the opposite direction?

This will be the separating of the “wheat from the weeds”……we determine which ones we are by how far we can distance ourselves from the empire that satan has created for himself here on earth (1 John 5:19)…..which encompasses the three elements he uses to distract humanity and lead them down the wrong path……corrupt politics, greedy commercialism and false religion…..everything is about to change.

Are we ready?

Babylon has been rebuilt!
That is not true of the original physical city……but the religious one was never was destroyed.

And your biblical support for this is....?

Yes this is Mystery Babylon, th e mother of all harlots but not the city described later.

-AAAH! The standard not subtle ad-hominem used by all allegorizers!

Ba-bel means confusion Babylon is an Akkadian Word which means gateway of God!

While Babylon does signify all false religions, it doesn't mean that it is a metaphor in the end times and not a religious system and a city.

And your biblical evidnce that these seculare activities of commerce mean a spiritual activity is.........?
Proving anything relating to this stuff in the face of resistance Ronald, doesn't give understanding . The point of the prophecies is so God's people can track events for their encouragement. Understand as it is intended and encouragement and hope are underpinned. They are not given so that we can be future tellers.

You want to go into the loop of 'biblical support'? well, look at how that approach persuades folk to your/ my point of view. What do you think, are they breaking down the door to embrace your great future forecasting skills?

Saddam Hussein used 6,000,000 bricks of ancinet Babylon to build a 1/6 scale of the original city. On one side of the brick was nebuchadnezzars name and Saddam had his name inscribed on th eother side.

Yes the mystery Babylon has never died but scattered to many religions.

Well as I do all I can to not allegorize, I have no forecasting skills.

I do know that in these last days people do have itching ears and with "endtimesitus" infecting many Christians they will flock to any supposed prophet who has received "special revelation" from God or who knows how to supposedly decode prophecy. This has been true since the debacle of Hal Lindsays novel "the Late Great Planet Earth."

And if you were any kind of teacher, you would gladly seek to show those who doubt "your decoding" skill s (amongst the 1,000's of others who claim the same ability who disagree with you in measure) with patience and willingness.

But I await you shgowing me from Scripture why you "interpret" these passages the way you do and why I should believe you more than others and what is plainly written in Scripture.

A quick Google search will reveal all of that….but seriously….rebuilding Babylon 1/6 th the size of the original is hardly rebuilding something God said would never be rebuilt….at best Sadam Husain wanted to build a monument to himself….a puny miniature replica….where is all that now? Where is the man who wanted to boast about his own achievements?
Videos, phots, copnstruction and eyewitness accounts show you are wrong about Babylon being rebuilt.
Babylon’s defiance of Jehovah eventually led to its downfall.
In prophecy, Babylon was depicted as a lion having eagle’s wings; God also foretold its fall and its eventual desolation. On October 5, 539 B.C.E., in one night, Babylon was taken by Cyrus the Great, whom Jehovah had foretold by name. Babylon fell in the very manner foretold. Eventually the city became “piles of stones,” never to be rebuilt. (Jeremiah 51:37; Isaiah 44:27-45:2)

Christendom is the “weeds” of Jesus parable. Her unscriptural doctrines are straight out of Babylon….multiple gods (often in triads)….belief in an immortal soul that survive the death of the body….and heinous punishment in a fiery hell of eternal torment……mistranslating of Scripture furnishes all the evidence they need to continue believing and promoting these lies.

Satan’s own ‘trinity’ is operative within “Babylon the great”….Christendom is swayed by corrupt politics as she holds “a kingdom over the kings of the earth” (James 4:4) and is immersed in greedy commercialism, promoting pagan celebrations glossed over with fake “Christian” overtones. She knows that they are pagan to their bootstraps, but the two most important events on Christendom’s calendar are the two that bring in the most money. They don’t want to kill that cash cow.

Her religious beliefs and practices are not found in Scripture, but adopted like lost puppies centuries ago, so that no one thinks to question them….so ingrained are these false beliefs, it’s like trying to take candy from a baby….tantrums result.

Taking oneself out of “Babylon the great” is an amazing liberation….sometimes only hindsight is 20/20.

Doesn't matter about him, He rebuilt Babylon and in 2000 they had a massive new age celebration there as well as in 2022. It will be the first capitol of the antichrist when he has some power before he makes Jerusalem his capitol. That is Scripture as written.

See because you are so indoctrinated in Watchtower doctrine, you cannot see the forest for the trees. Now I separate true christinaity from Christendom which is the apostate churches that hold a form of godliness but deny the power.

If you bothered do independent research (which is forbidden by your masters) you would find the trinity is a dying belief in Christendom and more people are accepting the watchtower concept that man has no spirit or soul! These are the weeds in the fields of wheat. The weeds grow in the field of the wheat, not separated from the fields like the JW boast about!

I’m afraid a tiny replica just doesn’t cut it….if God said it would never be rebuilt, or inhabited then I take him at his word…not yours.

Isa 13:19…
”And Babylon, the most glorious of kingdoms,
The beauty and the pride of the Chal·deʹans,
Will be like Sodʹom and Go·morʹrah when God overthrew them.
20 She will never be inhabited,
Nor will she be a place to reside in throughout all generations.
No Arab will pitch his tent there,

And no shepherds will rest their flocks there.”

Seems pretty straight forward to me.
See because you are so indoctrinated in Watchtower doctrine, you cannot see the forest for the trees. Now I separate true christinaity from Christendom which is the apostate churches that hold a form of godliness but deny the power.
And no one can accuse you of being “indoctrinated” by the “weeds” of Jesus parable can they? The doctrines you hold to be true were never in the Scriptures to begin with….you are a victim of time because the beliefs you think are true, are very ancient lies, founded in original Babylon but portrayed as “Christian“ teaching by an apostate church that retains them all to this day.
If you bothered do independent research (which is forbidden by your masters) you would find the trinity is a dying belief in Christendom and more people are accepting the watchtower concept that man has no spirit or soul! I do a lot of independent research which is why my faith is rock solid. I am not one to be easily convinced about anything….I studied for two years before I committed myself to the only Christian faith that was out there doing what Christ commanded and said he would be “with them all the days” until the end came. (Matt 28:19-20: Matt 24:14) The ”church” system is broken beyond repair…..and yes the trinity is dying because it is the only impediment between God’s truth and satan’s lies. The trinity prevents people from coming to “know the only true God AND the one he sent” (John 17:3) Take this travesty away and only then can people see who God really is…..YAHWEH……not Jesus, the one he “sent“…..unless you think he sent himself, prayed to himself, and raised himself from the dead…..

He did in fact raise himself from the dead.

John 10:18
'No one takes my life from me. I give my life of my own free will. I have the authority to give my life, and I have the authority to take my life back again'

So where does that leave the other two? Maybe you can explain how God created out of nothing?
Your logic makes a fool of you when you put it up against God's ability to do what we consider impossible!

There are more verses of scripture that speak more clearly that is the Father raised the Son though, for example

Prophesied before hand

Acts 2:30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

Acts 2:32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

God fulfilling the second Psalm

Acts 13:33 God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.

The apostle Paul

Gal 1:1 Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)

Our confession

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Peter

1 Peter 1:21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

They testify that God the Father raised up Christ

1 Cr 15:15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.

There are others

Well shepherds keep flocks, it has been continously inhabited, Arabs live there, so why not look at Gods Word instead of the Watchtower teaching and realize Is. 13 has not happened yet.

Even Peter went to Babylon to preach the gospel for there was a very large contingent of Jews there in the first century. Long after this prophecy was declared- it is still future.

Let’s see who ends up feeling foolish, shall we?

You seem to ignore the glaring fact that God needs no authority because he already IS ALL authority.
It was his Father who gave such authority to his son......it was God who “sent” Christ to redeem us. if Jesus was God that would be completely redundant. (Matt 28:18)

O c’mon QT.....use your ‘quiet thinking’ to produce some logical answers....
Christ can do nothing of his own initiative....only what the Father tells him to do and to teach. (John 5:19)

If Jesus was God, attributing to him the authority of the Father argues with his own words.
He has “all authority” because his Father was the only one who could bestow it upon him. (Matt 28:18)

Jesus limited himself on Earth. He was subject to the weaknesses we are subject to. He put off 'his authority' and lived by faith.
Jesus humbled himself and became like fallen man.
Now, having revealed the character of God in its fullness, which no other can do except God and revealed it to the point of death, he has raised himself as he said he would. I guess that leaves you at a blank.....because you don't believe it.

All creation in the Universe now has a knowledge of God exponentially greater than was ever had before in all eternity, ie, an unveiled knowledge of his character.
Satan's studied intent to fudge this understanding in the minds and hearts of Men knows no bounds; to misrepresent the wonder of a limitless God humbling himself voluntarily so we could see his nature. God was not too proud to be born as we are, helpless and needing support, sucking on a breast of his own creation, having his backside cleaned and finally submitting to the evil desires of men by dying.

Yes, he raised himself from the dead. Who but God can do this? No doubt you do not want to see this....and unfortunately you are poorer for it.

I know, it's not your logic.....so you dismiss it....making your claim of being Bible students severely hamstrung in their understanding and conclusions....just as the Jews.

Matthew 1:23
'The virgin will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and they will name him Immanuel, which is translated “God is with us.”

Isaiah 7:14
Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Yes….as there are those people in all forms of false worship….proclaimed “Christians” and non Christians. We encounter these people every day in our preaching work…..the very reason why Jesus sent us out to find them (Matt 28:19-20)…..and and it’s a privilege to give them a sound and realistic hope for the future and to explain why the world is, the way it is.

The big picture is missing in so many people’s belief systems, but once you go back to the beginning and see what God first purposed for mankind on this carefully and lovingly prepared planet, and you understand what actually happened back in Eden with its dire ramifications, and the wisdom of God in the way he chose to handle the situation…..it is absolutely brilliant!
rather odd , however , it seems more and more be preaching that the plan of GOD
is to unify these false religoins along with christendom
under guise they all worship the same god . JESUS is getting the boot and most seem to love the new version
of what they THINK is the love of GOD . sorry sister , but that broad sin accepting path that denies JESUS is CHRIST
and there is no need to believe HE IS , IS A LIE FROM SATAN and will save none and damn all . But what says you .

God created sentient beings with free will.....he educated them and told them how to gain everlasting life in paradise on earth, but when Adam’s sin took it away from them, he implemented a plan to save them. He sent his son to die in our place....the price of redemption was a sinless life offered for a sinless life.

It is the exercise of our free will that means the difference between life and death....we choose to do as we are told by the one who gave us life.....or we can choose to ignore and disobey him.....by our choice we choose life or death. How is that not fair?
Life was conditional from the outset......obey and live...disobey and die. Who has more right to lay down the rules that the one who made us?

When we buy as new appliance it usually has a guarantee from the manufacturer that is conditional....who says that is not fair?

The same fate as anyone who worships a false god and practices what God condemns.

Who said he punishes his creation forever? He gave humankind the opportunity to live forever in paradise on earth....they disobeyed the only command that they knew carried the death penalty, and basically threw us all under the bus.....satan lied to the woman to entice her to eat the fruit.....when she did that, she condemned herself to death, but Adam was the one who put all the nails in our coffin. It was through the man, not the woman, that sin entered into the world. (Romans 5:12)

If Adam had rejected his wife’s encouragement to eat of the one tree that God had claimed as his own property, (a symbol of his Universal Sovereignty) we would not be having this conversation. That one restriction created no hardship whatsoever for the pair as they had many varieties of fruit to choose from. The tree itself did not produce poisonous fruit but to partake of it would cause their death......taking the fruit of that tree, forced God to restrict access to the other tree in the garden....”the tree of life”. (Gen 3:22-24) It was this tree that would give them everlasting life. But sin now dominated their thinking because they chose to know it....one of those things that ‘once the genie was out of the bottle’ so to speak...their was no putting it back. They could not undo what they had just unleashed.

John 17:16....”They are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world.”

John 18:36....”Jesus answered: “My Kingdom is no part of this world. If my Kingdom were part of this world, my attendants would have fought that I should not be handed over to the Jews. But as it is, my Kingdom is not from this source.”

Luke 4:5-7 “All the kingdoms of the world” are under the control of Satan, because God gave them to him so that he could prove his claim to be the better god and ruler of mankind....Jesus did not dispute that statement.....so how is he doing?

Being “part of the world” is a trait of those in “Babylon the great”.....”Friendship with the world” makes one “an enemy of God” (James 4:4) Those in “Babylon the great” justify participation in wars because their love of their nation is their first concern.....a Christian has their citizenship in God’s Kingdom, not man’s. (Acts 10:24-25)

What happens when those on opposing sides of a war identify as Christians? Whose side does God take?
If he has told us to be no part of the world, then he doesn’t need to take sides...a genuine Christian would not participate in bloodshed.

According to the apostle Paul....we are to....”Return evil for evil to no one. Take into consideration what is fine from the viewpoint of all men. 18  If possible, as far as it depends on you, be peaceable with all men. 19  Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but yield place to the wrath; for it is written: “‘Vengeance is mine; I will repay,’ says Jehovah.” 20  But “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by doing this you will heap fiery coals on his head.” 21  Do not let yourself be conquered by the evil, but keep conquering the evil with the good.”

Also John says....If anyone says, “I love God,” and yet is hating his brother, he is a liar. For the one who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. 21  And we have this commandment from him, that whoever loves God must also love his brother.” (1 John 4:20-21)
That rules out taking up weapons against a fellow brother in Christ....and Paul says vengeance belongs to God, not us.
lets include that JOHN said TO BELEIVE ON JESUS and to love one another . cause the BELIEVE IN HIM part
IS SURE BEING OMITTED by this generation . In fact let me add
what john said and wrote . WHO is a liar , HE who denies that JESUS IS THE CHRIST . HE is anti christ .
Rather odd all other religoins do that , but popey do and his interfaith says they fine and find God their own way .
What a crock of anti christ dung that is sister . ANd yet more and more buy it . as if . GOD wont be denied
and if one DENIES HIS CHRIST , SISTER THEY DENIED HE WHO SENT HIM .

rather odd , however , it seems more and more be preaching that the plan of GOD
is to unify these false religoins along with christendom
There is no union with Christendom or her teachings......we must be separate before the judgment.
Rev 18:4-5...
“And I heard another voice out of heaven say: “Get out of her, my people, if you do not want to share with her in her sins, and if you do not want to receive part of her plagues. 5  For her sins have massed together clear up to heaven, and God has called her acts of injustice to mind.”

All association with false worship must be severed.....because if we are hanging onto ancient lies taught as truth in Christendom for centuries, we will go down with this religious harlot when God destroys her.
under guise they all worship the same god .
We have never denied Christ as “the son of God”, which is what he called himself......(John 10:31-36)

The “new version of Jesus” you speak of, was an invention of the Catholic Church in the 4th century....before then, there was no official doctrine of the trinity. That was over 300 years after his death.

The Jews did not worship a triune God and there was no mention of him in the Hebrew Scriptures. (Deut 6:4)
So when you speak of Jesus being “God”....but the Hebrew Scriptures never mention him, it is you who have adopted the fake one invented and worshipped by Christendom.
Jesus was Jewish and taught from Jewish Scripture.
Christendom’s truths are the satanic lies.....the trinity along with immortality of the soul, and hellfire.....none of them were taught by Christ Jesus.

JW’s do not deny God or Christ.....nor do we support interfaith at all....just the opposite.

We understand what John wrote in John 17:3....
“This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.”
The salvation issue is in the identification of the one who is “the only true God AND the one he sent”

Unless we get that right, we are not saved if we worship the wrong god.
