Do you know one thing that is not found in the bible? Mine and your opinions on what we think it means!

I don't think the Bible tells us not to put our hand on a hot stove.
Nor drive a car, or fly i n a plane or invent stuff or grow watermelon or eat Brussel Sprouts or build church buildings or have motorcycles or scooters or tricycles etc.etc.etc. ad nauseum.

I think you missed th epoint I was suggesting.

As opposed to we can "interpret" his statements any way we want?
"Interpret" is just a fancy word for one placing their opinion on the word of God.

The bible is not subject to interpretation as Peter said.

There are no hidden codes, secret meanings or stealth messages hiding in Scripture. Symbols are not to be interpreted but discovered in Scripture itself.

So when the Lord said, "Do not steal," he meant, "Do not steal"?

Seem to be quit a few doctrines people keep finding .

These verses speak of hidden things in the bible .

1 Corinthians 2:7 Context

4And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 5That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. 6Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: 7But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 8Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

No it doesn't. It speaks of things hidden from the eyes of the world. Scripture clearly and openly speaks of Messiahs death but the world could not understand while believers did!

I think you missed th epoint I was suggesting.

Not so fast, you asked a good question so to hear what responses come from it will be interesting!

I personally am of the mind that any question by can be answered by scripture at least in the proclamation of a spiritual principle. In my experience, Proverbs and Psalms are our go to books for this?! Like this for instance:

I don't think the Bible tells us not to put our hand on a hot stove.

Let's take a look in Proverbs and see if we can find a biblical principle which may answer this question!

Proverbs 6:27-28
27 Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?

28 Can one go upon hot coals, and his feet not be burned?.../KJV

Weeellll! How about that?! I think this biblical principle does answer that question?!

I rest my case?

Close but no cigar.
