Matthew 23, after the ending of Chapter 22. Jesus goes full throttle on the Religious leaders of his day, and he says a lot. And his judgement will fall on this generation.

Wait, this generation that he is speaking to that is. Not today as so many people adhere to traditionally.

If you believe Jesus is not going to judge the so called "leaders" of today... you be sadly mistaken!

Today's "leaders" are teaching false doctrine just like the religious leaders in Jesus' day

Everyone who dies is judged at death @Dan Clarkston. That’s what I believe Yahavah will look into, the heart.

The Bible is useful, and believing any religious leader and not searching and looking into what is said in the Bible is something not wise. Some can’t help it though, they can’t read so they may listen to someone else.

That doesn’t mean there aren’t people out their seeking out God in faith and love.

Today, too, @MatthewG . Much of God’s Word is written for us living in the latter days. Who are the Pharisees of today? They’re all around us.

Hello @LatterRain,

I just trust God. I don’t believe we live in the last days. But that is a subjective belief. There are many who do believe they are living in the last days. That’s all fine and good to me, and I love all people nonetheless, it’s just a subjective belief that is within the heart of people. It doesn’t make it true. However people can believe whatever they want, concerning those matters. It no longer affects me, and some would just call me a heretic which is fine too!

Jesus always talks about prayer and that’s our direct communication with our Father in Heaven.

That’s a subjective belief, @LatterRain. I believe it’s already happened, and we live in the new heavens and earth. But I doubt many people believe that, and that is okay.

No, not subjective, my friend. It is written in the book of Revelation, chapter 20.
Satan Bound 1000 Years
1 ¶ Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
2 He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years;
3 and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.
The Saints Reign with Christ 1000 Years
4 ¶ And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for afn thousand years.
5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.
Satanic Rebellion Crushed
(cf. Ezek. 38; 39 )
7 ¶ Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison
8 and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea.
9 They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them.
10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone wherefnthe beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
The Great White Throne Judgment
11 ¶ Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God,fn and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.
13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works.
14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.fn
15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

Yes, I know. It is a subjective belief if Jesus didn’t come soon as promised @LatterRain.

We live now in the new Heaven and earth where anyone can get to Yahavah through faith, and choose to eat from the tree of life or the tree of the knowledge and good and evil. The tree of life being the Lord Yeshua.

I believe faithfully what Jesus said was true for that day and age. Many people believe in futurism which means it didn’t happen. I believe in the fulfillment of the promise made by Jesus was true.

That’s where our differences lay.

None the less.... Jesus brought judgement upon the religious leaders of His day... and He is also bringing judgement upon the religious leaders of today as well.

In fact, when one looks at what is called "christianity" today, it's easy to see today's religious system is a false system, one that is a purveyor of false doctrine just like the pharisees and sadducees Jesus confronted during His earthly ministry

Hello @Dan Clarkston,

I don’t trouble myself to much with religious leaders. They do their own thing. I’m reminded always of the scripture concerning people who teach of rivalries and jealousy, and those who teach out of pure hearts. I’m thankful just as Paul was that Christ is preached. Yahavah will do justice and rightly measure all hearts at the cessation of life in my beliefs people die and are judged and are given their resurrected body, of condemnation, or of life, or the better resurrection.

Paul wrote to the people in Philppi,

“It’s true that some are preaching out of jealousy and rivalry. But others preach about Christ with pure motives.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭1‬:‭15‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Jesus spoke of two types of resurrections,

“and they will rise again. Those who have done good will rise to experience eternal life, and those who have continued in evil will rise to experience judgment.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5‬:‭29‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Paul wrote of the exanastasis (a better resurrection) concerning experience the sufferings for Christ to the people at Philppi,

“I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death, so that one way or another I will experience the resurrection from the dead!”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭3‬:‭10‬-‭11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The writer of Hebrews speaks of better resurrection,

“Women received their loved ones back again from death. But others were tortured, refusing to turn from God in order to be set free. They placed their hope in a better life after the resurrection.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭35‬ ‭NLT‬‬

In my opinion, and assessment all people will judged fairly and rightly given their reward after this life, some of condemnation (people in my opinion whom are outside the gates), some of life, and some which is better than the normal.

It is all based on a subjectively lived life for God, or those who didn’t trust God and didn’t desire him at all.

There are people who will try to twist and turn the scriptures and so forth but Yahavah is looking at people’s hearts and that is something to think about. I enjoy sharing the word in some form or another and people should never believe anything I say, or others for that matter and search and seek and read what the Bible has to say on these matters. Yes there are people out there whom are still in spiritual darkness, and I won’t disagree you about that.

Paul writing to the people in Thessaloniki,
“but test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good.”
‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5‬:‭21‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Yes, the church has also rejected Christ. Israel rejected Him in the flesh, and the church has rejected Him in spirit by believing the foretold lie and destructive doctrines of false teachers.

Actually it is not a subjective belief, but a biblical proven fulofilment of prophesy that lets us know we are living in the last days.

It might not be just our leaders - and Jesus didn't jump all over the scribes and Pharisees for their doctrine either.

Everything people hold dear to themselves is subjective. When it comes down to what’s going on here in Jesus time, is that Jerusalem has become desolate. The Pharisees and scribes of these days would do anything to turn a profit, they were selling animals for the price of people’s sins for them to be forgiven.

It’s no different than when in the book of Samuel you have the bad children of the priest, whom God showed Samuel in dream he would put to death.

It’s all about the evil farmers who would put Jesus to death, that would be Israel, at this time as it leads up to his crucifixion. Jesus states why he is upset with them, for what they have done, professing to know God while their hearts where far away from him, etc…

Many religious leaders seem to be leading people astray.
