Oh definitely!!! Initially our area was Hispanic, in a business district. There were some white people, hardly any blacks. I can remember a five and dime store and shop fronts, etc, along the boulevard.Seen a lot of change in your area over the years ?
Construction began on our nice subway system in 1990. The shops made way for a nice subway station. My mom and I used the subway alot for sightseeing and errands.
Now for maybe the last twenty years or so, our area has a lot of Koreans so it was renamed Koreatown. We still have Hispanics, whites and some black people...but Koreans have many businesses and churches in our area, as well as living here.
Also, many luxury apartment buildings have been built already...and are still being built. If they tear my building down to build a luxury building, I will probably have to move out of California. Those apartments are way too expensive.
Going day by day with God's help for now.
