What do you mean by saved? A certain status that guarantees you have iniquity imputed to you? Study what forgiveness is in the bible. Forgiveness is to set aside (send away) offenses...that can be brought back unless there is a change in behaviour. And forgiveness does not empower someone to not sin. For that we need the blood of Christ to cleanse us from sin and empower us to not sin the same way that Jesus also overcame sin.


Having once been saved....justified by faith, does not guarantee a continuing grace. The easiest thing in the world is to fall from grace and justify oneself. This happens WAYYY too often, as we see in the many responses on my threads. And that is to give people the benefit of the doubt about having ever been enlightened by the Spirit.


Jesus has the secret sauce. I am only a witness.


I am indeed so often being heard through carnal ears. But I assure you that the warnings are to God's people. Read the bible and you will see the purpose of exhortation and rebuke....to save souls from death and hard judgment. My counsel is to forsake the modern religious hubris and fables and remain humble and God-fearing. For that warning I get abuse from those devoid of wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Basic things that people either never knew or have now forsaken.

Believing in a cross is not the same as experiencing the power of it. Your ministrations are purely religious having no power but to think that you are righteous by your own beliefs. All who agree with your outlandish claims are also in the same category as you.

Have you ever watched a nature program which shows what happens when the rains come, in a country such as Africa, When what looks like a dry river bed suddenly teams with life when the rains fall and the dry river bed reveals creatures that have been lying dormant beneath the caked earth begin to stir, it is amazing.

My sister heard the gospel preached by Billy Graham, when she was 17, and hearing led to faith, but opposition from her fiance/husband led to her faith going underground: there was no visible sign of spirituality, by word or action, until she reached the age of sixty, when a series of events led to a change within her. It was as though the Lord woke her up, and she started to grow in grace and truth and in the knowledge of Him. Reading the word of God led to growth, and experiential knowledge born of faith began to strengthen her faith further. I watched the changes with wonder, it was such a blessing and a period of learning for me too. There is 13 years between our ages, she being the elder, and I had known the Lord as my Saviour for many years by then, but now I had a sister-in-Christ with whom I could share the word of God, and rejoice with.

Faith had entered but like that dry river bed had been underground waiting for the refreshing of the Spirit to come and quicken her into life. So don't lose heart if you have a relative or friend in the same position. My sister is now in her eighties, and so grateful to the Lord for filling her life with such blessed assurance.

A seed of faith had entered into her heart, awaiting God's timing for it to be quickened into life.

Your imaginative reading of the bible is not the purpose of this thread. You can imagine yourself as the hero in the text...as a fun speculation...but to try pretending to understand the teachings by rebuking actual believers is a terrible thing that invites a very hard judgment from God.

Will you be warned? Of course not. The fiction is all you have. Will you repent? Not as long as you seek self-justification more than the living God.
