Fear hath torment too, the Lord could send his fear before his prophets.
Rev 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
If any man will hurt them it says
Rev 11:5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies:
Fire out of their mouths, is what?
Jerm 23:29 Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD
Jerm 5:14 Wherefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.
"Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm"/hurt... but of any man will do so it says
Rev 11:5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
The manner in which one is killed/or slain by them is shown in both
Hosea 6:5 Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and thy judgments are as the light that goeth forth.
As with Jesus
John 7:30 Then they sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come.
And when his hour was come to die, Jesus said,
John 12:27 Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.
And when Jesus finished his testimony, these too finish their testimony and are killed
Rev 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
The world makes merry, and refuses them burial (unlike their Lord) in the place where he crucified
Rev 11:8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
And just as Jesus said to them concerning his own death
John 16:20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice...
When these die it likewise says,
Rev 11:10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another
And they are raised to life
Rev 11:11 And after three and a half days the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet. ; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
And just as with the Lord, where "his friends" beheld when he ascended to heaven in a cloud Acts 1:9
These too ascend to heaven while on the contrary, "their enemies" behold
Rev 11: 12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.
Rev 11:4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.
Rev 11:6a These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy...
James 5:17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain:
and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.
These also have power over waters to turn them to blood Rev 11:6b
Exodus 7:17 Thus saith the LORD, In this thou shalt know that I am the LORD: behold, I will smite with the rod that is in mine hand upon the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood.
And these also have the power "to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will."Rev 11:6c
Here is also smiting the earth after Elijah but with a curse
Mal 4:6 And he (Elijah) shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and "smite the earth with a curse."
Plagues as shown in Moses before Pharaoh
Exodus 9:14 For I will at this time send all my plagues upon thine heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayest know that there is none like me in all the earth.
Seven times more plagues
Leviticus 7:21 And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins.
The seven last plagues
Rev 15:1 And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.
Of Elisha (not Elijah) but of him that followed after) it says, little children out of the city, and mocked him
2 Kings 2:24 And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.
2 Ch 36: 16 But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, till there was no remedy.
Forty two (the number of children there) is an interesting number to find there.
