8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

11 Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

This is during the millennial reign of Jesus Christ.

Kissing the son per Psalm 2 will occur at the millennial reign when all the nations shall pay homage to Jesus Christ. That is a prophecy of the future.
Agree, when the silence will be broken and a new age begins!

Everyone will be healed and all the nations shall bow down to Jesus Christ. This is when the gifts of the spirit shall cease. Right now we are looking through a glass darkly, but then face-to-face.

Not sure if David believes he has the Spirit Gifts or not...if so he is deluded and been sold a lie. I'm waiting for his evidence.

Psalm 2 begins as per Revelation 19. Notice the rod of iron.
Correct. The physical return of Christ to the Earth to establish the Kingdom of God on Earth.
Christ (and saints) will break the silence of God and begin about the grinding process of the Kingdoms of men to dust.

Provide your evidence
Brother, you know what is truly amazing = your CBF name = 'face2face'

SEE how God loves us and put us together!!!

In your CBF name: 'face2face' lies the TRUTH of the EXACT time when the gifts will be no longer needed in His Body

So let us start where God has strictly specified the 'when' Holy Spirit gifts cease/end.

1 Corinthians 13:8-12
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be restrained; where there is knowledge, it will be dismissed. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when the perfect comes, the partial passes away.

11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I set aside childish ways.
12Now we see but a dim reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face.
Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

It's noted you highlighted sections which you felt supported your view and ignored those very clear statements of Paul.

The Apostle Paul predicted that the gift of tongues would cease (1 Corinthians 13:8).

I'll place some facts here for you to ponder:

The apostles, through whom tongues came, were unique in the history of the church. Once their ministry was accomplished, the need for authenticating signs ceased to exist.

The miracle (or sign) gifts are only mentioned in the earliest epistles, such as 1 Corinthians. Later books, such as Ephesians and Romans, contain detailed passages on the gifts of the Spirit, but the miracle gifts are not mentioned, although Romans does mention the gift of prophecy. The Greek word translated “prophecy” means “speaking forth” and does not necessarily include prediction of the future.

The gift of tongues was a sign to unbelieving Israel that God’s salvation was now available to other nations. See 1 Corinthians 14:21–22 and Isaiah 28:11–12. (So here you would lack the Biblical context to support ongoing gifts over the past 2000 years).

Tongues was an inferior gift to prophecy (preaching). Preaching the Word of God edifies believers, whereas tongues does not. Believers are told to seek prophesying over speaking in tongues (1 Corinthians 14:1–3).

This point here is possibly the most challenging for you to overcome. History indicates that tongues did cease. Tongues are not mentioned at all by the Post-Apostolic Fathers. Other writers such as Justin Martyr, Origen, Chrysostom, and Augustine considered tongues something that happened only in the earliest days of the Church.

Current observation confirms that the miracle of tongues has ceased. If the gift were still available today, there would be no need for missionaries to attend language school. Missionaries would be able to travel to any country and speak any language fluently, just as the apostles were able to speak in Acts 2. As for the miracle gift of healing, we see in Scripture that healing was associated with the ministry of Jesus and the apostles (Luke 9:1–2). And we see that as the era of the apostles drew to a close, healing, like tongues, became less frequent. The Apostle Paul, who raised Eutychus from the dead (Acts 20:9–12), did not heal Epaphroditus (Philippians 2:25–27), Trophimus (2 Timothy 4:20), Timothy (1 Timothy 5:23), or even himself (2 Corinthians 12:7–9). The reasons for Paul’s “failures to heal” are 1) the gift was never intended to make every Christian well, but to authenticate apostleship; and 2) the authority of the apostles had been sufficiently proved, making further miracles unnecessary. The reasons stated above are evidence for cessationism. According to 1 Corinthians 13:13–14:1, we would do well to “pursue love,” the greatest gift of all. If we are to desire gifts, we should desire to speak forth the Word of God, that all may be edified.

@David in NJ hope that helps!

REALLY???
That is NOT what verse 11 states nor implies.

verse 11 is Paul stating human to human, NOT human to God.

Paul, the Holy Spirit filled tongue(gibberish) speaking Apostle said that those believers with the gift of tongues DO NOT speak to man,
but only God understands.

v2 - "For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands, however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries."

Are you rejecting the words of God in verse 2?
YOU have been claiming God is not omnipotent and omniscient with this thread along with your lousy hermeneutics. On top of this you destroy God's diety with your ridiculous notions of God being some sort of supernatural human.

Really?
This is the god you worship? He sounds extremely small and puny next to mine who truly exists.

Are feeling ok or maybe a little under the weather?

This statement of yours is ludicrous:
"It's noted you highlighted sections which you felt supported your view and ignored those very clear statements of Paul."

FACT Check: I highlighted EXACTLY that Paul wrote that the HS gifts will cease.

From my Post #133

So let us start where God has strictly specified the 'when' Holy Spirit gifts cease/end.

1 Corinthians 13:8-12
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be restrained; where there is knowledge, it will be dismissed. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when the perfect comes, the partial passes away.

12Now we see but a dim reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face.
Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

If you refuse to believe this clear instruction from the Lord, how will you be ever able to know the truth on this subject?
