Work out your own Salvation?

GOD is FAITHFUL to finish it . But if we dont heed him WE NO FINISH .
you are not proving anything .
I can keep my own son safe as long as he heeds me . BUT IF HE DONT and wanders off
well that is on him . HEED THE SPIRIT , NOT the FLESH .
GOD is the only one who can keep us from falling and HE IS FAITHFUL TO DO SO
its why HE warns , ITS WHY HE SENDS MEN TO WARN when anyone is or might head in the wrong direction .
THERE is a reason why JESUS warned as HE DID to his own as well as HIS OWN warned and would continue to remind
the church . ITS ALL FOR OUR GOOD . You claim you trust IN CHRIST
you claim you trust in paul , BUT YOU ALL SURE SEEM to twist THEIR SAYINGS TOFIT
something THEY NEVER TAUGHT but rather MEN DID . wake up friend . wake up .

He came through that we need to heed him, most definitely, I also believe that we can go off the rails, and that is when we can suffer the consequences, been there done all that, but he always brings us back into the fold once we focus on him and not self, plus my salvation is 100% secure as Gods seed remains in me permanently.
The Holy Spirit is always working in our hearts, remember that, he never stops.
Some of us have had to learn the hard way, even though I did go off the rails for a time, I was still in his will and he allowed me to do that, I didn’t even know at the time that I went off the rails.if that makes sense, learning about self can be the hardest lesson of all to learn Brother?

Only God can teach me about the self..,and he did, self is so important to understand if we want to grow and mature, yet again I do believe everything is in Gods timing.

And you are right plenty of warnings in the word.

I like to stay open minded to all advice, depending how it’s delivered, you always imo deliver it well, no put downs or hostility to the brethren, therefore I listen, maybe not at the time, but then God brings me back to those words you sowed to me and others last night.then it gets me thinking..hence my post this morning.

Edit to add, the lesson I learnt from your preaching is, ..listen to your brothers and sisters and don’t think you know it all because you don’t, all of God’s word is his truth for sure, ..self just loves itself doesn’t it Brother? and there is no truth in self that’s for sure..,.as you say stay focused on God and learn his truth , not man’s truth...of course the enemy tries to blind us from God’s truth as we well know...Amen!

The promises are beautiful .
the warnings are beautiful . EVERY WORD OF GOD is of pure beauty and is meant for the GOOD of all who do heed .
Now some may wonder why on earth i would say the warnings are beautiful .
BELIEVE ME they are . WHY HE WARNS is for our own good . my advice is that we HEED
BOTH the goodness and severity of GOD . Lest we find ourselves following a false goodness that has led us to THE LIE .
THE LIE . what is the LIE . A lie cannot save one person rita . AND I KNOW YOU KNOW THAT .
SO why is it so many love the lie of universalism , why is it so many seem to love and embrace a hope
a lie and rather try and say OH everyone gonna end up okay . JESUS NEVER SAID THAT . GOD NEVER SAID THAT .
KNOWN TO GOD is EVERTHING . known to us is what GOD reveals to our tiny minds which surely cannot
contain ALL THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD . satan had a lot of wisdom and look what he did with it .
WHAT IS WRITTEN is for us . AND while i KNOW GOD can and still does reveal things to us
WHAT I KNOW and that by grace is , WHATEVER BE REVEALED TO MAN that contradicts that WHICH JESUS SAID , OH BABY ITS A LIE .
JESUS never preached universalism . HE PREACHED TRUTH . WHEN HE and later the apostels went about preaching
THEY never preached universalism , THEY PREACHED THE ABSOLUTE DIRE TOTAL NEED TO BELIEVE ON JESUS THE CHRIST
SO WHY COMES so many now try and give out ideas that somehow give mankind hope WITHOUT having HAD TO BELIEVE JESUS
is CHRIST . ALLOW me to answer that , ITS CAUSE THEY BOUGHT A LIE and under that lie they are now in darkness
and preach a false hope to the world and to christendom , WHILE USING JESUS NAME , WOE TO THEM for doing so ,
that allows folks to remain IN UNBELIEF . WE GOTS problems . might wanna let EPI know about this cause
he and others attack folks like me who remind all IF YA DONT BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST , ITS ALL IN VAIN .

Faith broken Christians are not trying to earn Salvation.

They are trying to keep it.....they are trying not to LOSE IT.

So, i have a verse for them......another one.

Philippians 1;6

"God, who began salvation in all the born again... will HIMSELF...... be FAITHFUL to Complete it"..

We are supposed to be endeavouring to APPREHEND that for which He has apprehended us, aren't we? Forgetting what lies behind and reaching for what lies ahead? "Leaving (as it were) the foundational things and going on to perfection/maturity? Running the race so as to WIN it? And there is a cost to us to do so.....so in a way we could say we are earning it to some extent, paying a price for it. The wise virgins had to "buy" the extra oil for their lamps didn't they? Counting everything as loss in order to GAIN Christ? Filling up that which is behind of the sufferings of Christ? Everything doesn't just stop there frozen in time after receiving the Lord, if we continue to live in this life.....that was only a beginning.

Did the Israelites just put down stakes and camp out forever on the shore of the Red Sea after crossing it? No, they kept moving on, obediently following the cloud/pillar in the wilderness, wherever the Lord led them, with the GOAL in mind of entering and POSSESSING the Promise. (Who hopes for what he already has?) Through testing and trial after testing and trial. And listen to this:

Heb 11:15
If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return.

Like those who rebelled in the wilderness craving the fruits of the country they had been SAVED from and wanting to return....which the Lord depicted and wrote down for us the lesson that this leads to judgment and spiritual DEATH. Those who rebelled DIED. These things happened unto them for ENSAMPLES and they are written for OUR ADMONISHMENT upon whom the ends of the world has come..

of the church .
That has been my problem with OSAS . it has twisted certain doctrines and omitted the severity of GOD
WHEN we should have been beholding BOTH . THERE is GOOD reason why CHRIST and later the apostels
said . We already know the SPIRIT is the one that is even giving us the desires and abliity
to do the things pleasing IN HIS sight .

Here is where Christians who are not taught some Soteriology fundamentals, take a left turn into Legalism.

Legalism is...>>"yes, Jesus saved me,.. but now i have to get up on The Cross, and keep myself saved by working, doing, good behavior, trying to be like Christ,""

So, see all that DOING?

That is : DISCIPLESHIP............not Salvation..

Salvation is..>>"i am now a Christian, because God has caused me to be forgiven and born again">


And now, my DISCIPLESHIP, is......... to do those good works, and keep my life clean, and live for God.


Notice that SALVATION< is WHat God did for us... and Discipleship is what we do, because of what God has already caused us to become. (A Christian).

So, the confused Christian, does not understand that Salvation.... and Discipleship, are not the same thing.

We do good works, because we ARE SAVED........not to try to be saved, or stay saved.

That is "Christianity 101" first baby steps as "working out your salvation" which is to understand it.

By whose witness and how does he remind you?

My birth was different to yours,as is everyone else’s, I know 100% that the Holy Spirit indwells my spirit,The Spirit testifies with our spirit that we are Gods children..

I have the witness of the Holy Spirit witnessing that truth all day every day for the past 33 yrs.to my spirit, the Holy Spirit is very much Alive in my spirit, I know him in my heart/spirit, not by reading a Bible.

Only the Holy Spirit can bring our spirit from death into his life, His Living Spirit is life in our heart * spirit.

We should be growing and maturing in Jesus character and bearing his fruit.

God did say ,you will know them by their fruit @amigo de christo ..what do you think he meant by that?

We are seated with God in the heavenly realm , no longer are we Of the world, we are in Gods will and no other.under the authority and will of the Father, the biggest Honour and Privilege you will ever know.
We come before God in spirit and know him/ honour him/ Glorify him/ Praise him from within our spirit as that is where we know him, we are his spirit children...just like we were born to an earthly father whose seed penetrated our mothers egg.= Flesh gives birth to flesh.
So too the Living seed of God penetrated our heart/spirit and we became his spirit children.
Spirit gives birth to spirit= spirit children of the most high.

He did not say..we get Born Again..you said “we get Born Again,

We get Born again = not biblical.

Born Again = biblical.our spirit is “ Born Again”

What i dont grasp is how folks
can believe one is not TRUSTING IN CHRIST
just because they warn and remind the church TO continue in HIM to the end .
cause paul and others sure reminded the church to do so and even warned of falling away .
