Its Paul's Theology.

If you will use a bible, then find all of Paul's 13 Epistles and read them.

That will be something new for you to experience, and its obvious that Paul's doctrine is not something that your cult teaches, or cares to learn, and that situation is what has produced you and your theology.

Because when they are born again it is spiritually. The soul & the flesh remain the same. Then (she has made herself ready) by obeying the word of God and their conscience. They identify with the Lord and obey His commandments. But there's a lot more than 10 commandments in the Bible! So you have to read the entire thing for yourself, and pray all the way through it. Pray without ceasing and then the seed of God that came with the spiritual rebirth is watered and grows. You grow.

See your spirit and your soul are connected and they fight all the time because one is spiritual and talks with God directly, and the spirit is carnal so can not receive the things of the spirit. So they fight. They are two wolves in the Cherokee proverb. What do they fight about? They fight over who gets to dictate the actions and behavior of the flesh body.

Your soul will always side with the flesh and all it's desires. When we fast and don't eat food, the flesh body will complain (Hunger pains) and the soul will complain, hey that tastes good it's my favorite and it's in the refrigerator!

But your spirit will say, no you're denying your flesh to bring it into subjection to your spirit and to God. To God, we humble ourselves to Him by denying ourselves something, food. 7 days? 3 days? 24 hours? Even one meal. You let the spirit (who the Holy Spirit bears witness to!) say no to the flesh and to the soul! This is humbling because saying no to the flesh and sticking to it and perhaps even using that time that it would've took to cook and eat...to give it to God, and sit and worship and pray during that time. That's very satisfying to do!

I was fasting one time and I felt hungry, so I spoke out loud to my flesh body and told it to shut up or I would add another day onto the fasting...(!!!) and went and read the word instead. The hunger went away! That was kind of spooky!

It's these instances of overcoming the flesh and bringing it in to subjection to the spirit and to the Lord. You can do it with anything almost too! You dont have to fast for 40 days! You can give the money for that large size Ressee cup or chocolate bar you were going to buy to the homeless guy outside instead. Boom, you just fasted a treat. Every little bit helps. You can do what I have been calling a "digital fast" and shut down the internet, TV, monitors and my phone! for a period of time. That's an acceptable fast offering to the Lord. But use the time for Him!

How many hours per day do you pray to the Lord? Now how many hours are you on the internet? Shouldn't God get equal time at the very least?

Thanks for the reminder and encouragement to fast. I confess I don't spend much time in prayer and I don't fast very often either, so I certainly needed this reminder and encouragement to prioritize the things of God over the things of this world.

What questions have I refused to address? None. It's YOU who can't answer why it is that God wants us to "hate without a shred of love" our parents (though He said honor them) but we're to "love without any hate whatsoever" pagan "non-brethren" strangers - which you claim is what the Bible teaches.

"We don't question God's program" is not an answer.

That same God says "come, now, let us reason together". The above claim you made is not reasonable!

The only claim I made is that I believe everything God said. You on the other hand claim that God contradicts Himself and that He is a hypocrite. Well you can have that all to yourself, I'm not going to join you in your blasphemous doctrine.

I think that when we fast we should it with the same heart as we have when giving to help someone. After all, isn't it a gift unto the Lord?!

I wouldn't say fasting is a gift to the Lord, since fasting is only for our own good. God doesn't need or want anything from us, He already has everything so we don't have anything to offer Him.
This is not to say that He is not pleased with our worship, praise and fasting. I just wanted to make the point that we have nothing t offer the Lord, which He doesn't already have.

The money we save on food, when we fast should be given to help our brethren who are living in poverty and struggling to feed themselves and their families. We can fast in many different ways, we shouldn't limit fasting to abstaining from food only. Fasting can be, not going to the football game or not buying luxury items and giving that money to our brethren who have needs.
